How to learn to write correctly in Russian. How to learn to write correctly in a short time, and why it is important to write without errors

Of course, we all went to school, learned to write, took lessons in the Russian language, grammar, and all the same, we continue to make mistakes. This is due to many factors, one of them is highly developed technology that thinks for us, correcting spelling, because in Lately, I mostly type everything rather than write it by hand. You just need to use a special spell checker on your computer, and it will highlight or correct all your mistakes. At the same time, we forget spelling and, faced with the need to fill out some paperwork manually, we find ourselves in unpleasant situations.

Start by turning off spell check on your phone and try to write correctly on your own.

Not knowing spelling can make a person look stupid, so you need to improve and strive to become more literate. In order to fight this, you need to resort to memories school curriculum in Russian, or even take courses. But first, let's make a couple of independent attempts to increase our level.

Learn to write correctly and without errors

As with all teachings, you need to follow a sequence, dividing your actions into theory and practice. Start reading more fiction, it will develop even more depth in you inner world. Another advantage of smart books is that they can add value to your lexicon new words, and visual memory after practice, will then fix attention on complex words. Take, for example, Pushkin, Dostoevsky or Tolstoy. Read in a calm environment, preferably at home, reading every word, slowly so that your memory remembers the words, you can read it out loud, not just to yourself, expressively.

Opposite of the classics yellow press, any magazines, they usually contain grammatical errors. Spend about forty minutes a day reading, it’s not much, but it has a certain effect. In general, this is the basic rule, read as much as possible, if you have more than forty minutes a day for books, do not limit yourself, believe me, you will only do better.

Grammar practice

After reading the book, you should consolidate the results in practice. Take one page from the book, slowly rewrite it, and the best thing is if someone dictates it to you. To begin with, you need to write slowly, think through every word, try to avoid mistakes, and gradually increase the speed. Then immediately check it, read it twice, the first time to check punctuation marks, spelling, and the second time to check the correctness of the sentences and its meaning. Often, mistakes are mainly due to lack of care.

There is a little trick to get rid of your eyes sliding over the text, read it backwards, this will allow you to read every word.

Purchase a spelling dictionary, in printed form. Flipping through it in search of the right word You will pay attention to others, and, of course, your visual memory will be trained. But, unfortunately, not everyone has a good visual memory; sometimes you have to resort to cramming. Theory is good, but it's time to move on to practice.

Spelling improvement technique

The method of reading books still has a drawback; many are so immersed in the meaning of the book itself that they are not able to pay attention to the spelling. It’s good if you still have textbooks from your school days, they contain a lot of different levels useful rules and exercises of different levels. Of course, a person does not have to remember all this, but it would be nice to repeat it.

  1. The first rules that need to be repeated are the declension of nouns and the supply of punctuation elements, remember the cases. After reading, make your own table based on this material.
  2. The basis of grammar, knowledge of morphology is a part of grammar about the correctness of speech, syntax is a section on the study of sentences and ways of combining words inside. To use written language correctly, you need to understand the structure of words, understand which part the words belong to: nouns, adjectives, numerals, verbs, participles, particles and adverbs. And it is very important to understand the composition of the word in order to then break it into parts, identifying problem areas: root, suffix, prefix, ending.
  3. With the complication of punctuation, remember the rule of signs, that is, commas are used to pause. Read the sentence out loud without written punctuation and try to intuitively guess where the pause should be.
  4. With weak spelling, the rule of unstressed vowels at the root of the word is mostly lame. Learn the rule and the exception words, this will be useful to you in many ways.

Every time you want to give up your studies, think that excellent knowledge of the Russian language makes you a literate person, and therefore more respected and a leader, remember this and be patient. When paying attention to reading books, give preference to Soviet bindings of artistic classics. They are compiled most competently, since in modern books, many typos are allowed, some changes in semantic load. Choose books based on your interests to make your reading and learning enjoyable. Genre doesn't really matter.

All people perceive information differently, some have naturally excellent visual memory, while others learn everything by hearing. Sharpen your auditory memory, feel free to read your ears. Memorizing text by heart, for example, poetry or a book you read the day before, will also help you a lot. After the first small practices, there will be an undoubted result. Ask someone for help; it is more effective when another person checks you, helps you write dictations, and conducts a dialogue. It is recommended to create a dictionary of your difficult words that are not easy to learn and cannot be remembered. When writing down such words, highlight problem areas in capital letters, for example, privilege.

While doing constant practice, focus your attention on problematic common mistakes. Just work on them until you eliminate them.

Of course, we all have different abilities and mindsets. Some have mathematical talent, some have excellent visual memory, and some are naturally given the intuition for correct spelling. In the absence of such an ability, the first rule among all others is constant practice until errors are completely eliminated.

tell friends

The copywriting market is choking with cheap writers supplying trillions of characters of illiterate texts to the exchanges. Professional authors, polishing their texts down to the point, resemble pieces of amber washed ashore by a sea of competition along with algae and stone chips. You can rivet texts in the hundreds and sell them for pennies, targeting people with a C in Russian, but good customers still see the difference between amber and pebbles.

If a person takes care of business, he does not skimp on quality. Self-respecting entrepreneurs strive to fill websites - business card business - with high-quality content, and search robots are already distinguished good articles from a set of words.

The demand for literate texts is growing. To save on proofreading costs, customers are increasingly choosing copywriters who submit texts without spelling and punctuation errors. The exchanges have introduced qualification tests for knowledge of grammar.

The process of ousting hordes of dumping graphomaniacs from the market, who devalued the work of writers and editors, has begun. It will last more than one year, so each author has a chance to stay in the profession and increase the cost of their services thanks to knowledge of the rules of the Russian language.

If you take grammar seriously, then in two or three months you will remember and learn the basics that anyone should know writing man. You will learn to quickly navigate reference books and dictionaries, see dozens of tricky cases of comma placement, and learn hundreds of new words.

One day you will find that errors seem to jump out of the text. Everyone makes mistakes, even proofreaders. More often, of course, due to inattention. The eye blurs. Sometimes the entire editorial team does not notice a typo in the most prominent place. That is why headings, subheadings, leads, captions for photographs must be read carefully and out loud.

Everyone makes mistakes. So where's the title?

Simple editor rules

It is very difficult to govern yourself. If in other people’s texts a professional can see all or almost all errors, then in his own texts slip a whole army"saboteurs".

What to do?

Let the text rest

You've probably heard more than once that the text should rest. This rule also works in proofreading and editing. You cannot proofread an article immediately after writing. Let it sit for at least a few hours. Before the second round, the text must be “held through” again. Many proofreading firms offer double proofreading, but I go back to each file three and sometimes five times.

Years of work in paper newspaper. A Soviet-trained proofreader worked in our editorial office. She proofread the texts three times (and rightly so), then typographical proofreaders made edits twice, not to mention the fact that the day before the entire editorial staff “licked” the issue, and still commas or one or two errors slipped through the eight-page publication. Human factor, however. 🙂

If you work with websites, you've probably noticed this trick: you read and read the text, published it on the site - bam, you immediately noticed an error! The eyes have become accustomed to the layout and fonts. You float through the text, as if along the flow of a river on a sunny, windless day.

Change the river and the boat - the brain is activated. Change appearance text, look at it through a typograph, html editor, or better yet, print it out. A sheet of paper is the ideal canvas for making edits.

What does it take to learn to write correctly?

Motivation and intuition

You can't live without motivation these days. Make two lists. In the first, write the reasons why you need to write correctly. The second is what you will get when you can independently make proofreading changes to your (and maybe other people’s) texts. If the reasons are convincing, the brain will respond to them and begin to absorb knowledge better.

Intuition is the editor's reliable companion. You can negotiate with her. Imagine her in the form of an assistant and give her a task: if an error has crept in, let your intuition somehow tell you about it - discomfort in the body, anxiety... The main thing is that you learn to decipher its messages. With proper training and self-confidence, over time, errors seem to be highlighted in the text, and you intuitively begin to feel where to look for them.

Half an hour a day on the rules

Spend 20-30 minutes a day studying the rules, then within a couple of months you will notice the difference, and in a year you will reach the level of a junior proofreader.

Just six months - and you are far ahead of the crowd of writers!

Reference books and dictionaries

Strive to learn more about language and literacy. Purchase a spelling and punctuation reference book. You can also use online services, but I still recommend having a paper version on hand, because while you are looking the right rule, read a few more. And the book is convenient to carry with you and make notes in it. It will definitely come in handy.

Buy dictionaries: explanatory, spelling, dictionary of phraseological units, synonyms and others. Reading a spelling dictionary is doubly useful. Word helps you to write a word correctly, but to say it...

- the Achilles heel of many. Unfortunately, announcers have ceased to be the standard of pronunciation and make rude remarks. speech errors. You can look up the stress in a spelling dictionary.

But, if you still intend to purposefully get acquainted with the correct sound of words, buy a spelling dictionary. In it you can also see the correct form of the word in the plural and in genitive case plural. How to write: no eggplant or eggplant, no macaroni or pasta, no shoes or shoes?

It’s fun to organize such quizzes for family members or guests. 🙂

Useful book I. B. Golub “Stylistics of the Russian language” and truly priceless editor's bible “Handbook of Publisher and Author” by A. E. Milchin.

When working with text, don’t be lazy to look at reference books and authoritative encyclopedias to check how proper names are written: names of rivers, cities, countries, surnames...

Rely on Word, but don’t make a mistake yourself

Word is cunning and not always right. Relying on it is dangerous. He emphasizes the correct spelling of words with the prefix “pol-” (half-Azerbaijan, half-Crimea), and skips erroneous variants with the particle “would” (as if, to). “Word” does not distinguish between homonyms (developing - fluttering; boil - open), the imperative form of the verb and the form of the verb in 2 liters. pl. h. (write - write), paronymic words (put on - put on, addressee - addressee), is not friendly with vocabulary and style.

He's not that smart

However, before you start proofreading, run the text through the Word Spelling service to eliminate gross errors. Automatic assistants are good at catching insidious typos and grammatical nonsense. But they will never replace a living editor and proofreader, because only a person feels the word. All errors and inaccuracies can only be corrected “manually”, first turning to reference books and dictionaries.

Why our course is guaranteed to teach you how to write correctly in Russian

  • When compiling the course program, the main spelling and punctuation errors that adults make were identified. The research was conducted on middle managers of a large enterprise. We provide the opportunity to go through all the basic rules of the Russian language (somewhat broader than the school curriculum), but the emphasis is on the words and rules identified as a result of the research.
  • The rules are told popularly, without unnecessary theory, but in an adult way. Many words and expressions are given that are not offered in Russian school textbooks.
  • Theoretical material and word cards can be printed. You will receive files ready to print.
  • When compiling exercises and dictations (even based on children’s rules), adult vocabulary is used (socio-political, scientific, medical, etc.)
  • The speed of reading dictations corresponds average speed dialing an adult, so you don't have to be distracted to pause the recording.
  • To ensure that unnecessary noise does not interfere with perception, exercises and dictations are voiced by professional announcers in the studio.
  • The course combines logical and sensory-motor teaching methods. In other words, you will understand the logic of the rule and, in addition, you will remember the words for this rule visually, motorically, auditorily, and associatively.
A small selection of randomly selected webinars will give you an idea of how practical classes are conducted. You can also try to complete the suggested tasks.

Literacy when writing any texts or business papers is an indicator of a person’s education, inspiring goodwill towards him. IN modern world, where people have to type more than write, literacy is not often thought about. It is enough to use one of the spelling programs, and the computer will underline the incorrectly typed word and all that remains is to correct the error.

This is where an unpleasant surprise awaits many. When applying for a job and filling out long forms by hand, which employers now often resort to, a person unexpectedly realizes that he is not sure of the correct spelling of a particular word. And if the employer may consider one mistake an annoying typo, then the presence of 2-5 grammatical errors and “lame” style can become the decisive reason for your application to be placed in the folder of unhired applicants.
And not only for getting a responsible job, the level of literacy is important. A note with gross errors left to a competent colleague or neighbor will offend him. Knowing you well, he will not say anything, but he will draw conclusions for himself about your lack of education. And this is especially annoying if you have a college degree (or two).

This is only in the saying “you meet someone by their clothes.” In modern business life, much more is often expected from a person, including impeccable literacy.

Let's learn to write correctly.
If you notice that your literacy is not at the proper level, you should not brush off the problem, especially since it is solvable.

To learn to write without errors, you need to outline a sequence of actions. And you need to start with the simplest thing - with spelling. The easiest way to improve literacy is reading. You just need to approach it responsibly. First of all, you only need to read good literature. One that will help you “kill two birds with one stone” - see how words are spelled correctly and feel the beauty and variety of metaphors that abound in good literature. Therefore, works of classics are best suited. You can limit yourself to those whose works in prose or poetry are easy to read and understand. For example, Prishvin, Kuprin, Tyutchev, Pushkin.

Remember that reading on the road - on the subway, train, in a car - especially if you prefer tabloids or pulp fiction, will not bring you any benefit. This “literature” quite often suffers from grammatical and stylistic errors and only in exceptional cases can be an example of competent and beautiful speech.

Read the right literature for at least 30-40 minutes a day, and preferably 1-2 hours daily. But this is not enough. What your memory received during the reading process must be consolidated. And for this you need to write as much as possible. Therefore, train constantly. Leave notes and letters to friends and family more often. Share your problem with them and ask them to carefully read your messages and point out any mistakes made.

If you take the matter seriously, literacy increases within 2-3 months of regular reading and writing exercises. But this is a skill that needs to be constantly reinforced until it becomes automatic. To make the process easier and faster, always keep a spelling dictionary at hand.

But this is not the only way to master competent writing. The second way is to study the rules of spelling and punctuation. If you decide to go this route, it is better to enlist the help of a teacher or someone who is fluent in this knowledge. Even an excellent high school student can help you.

How to teach a child to write without mistakes.
Practice shows that those adults who read, wrote a lot in childhood and took subjects such as Russian language and literature seriously at school do not have problems with grammar and style. Therefore, it is easiest to instill competent writing skills from school age.

Unfortunately, modern children do not always succeed in literacy. This suggests that the most favorable moment for learning has been missed and now things need to be corrected.

You will have to start with the same thing as adults - read and write more. Before you buy a book for your child, review it for errors. Buy only quality books from beautiful pictures, which can interest the child and encourage him to start reading the book.

Train your child in spelling more often. Let him rewrite the texts, gradually making the tasks more difficult. Have dictations. Often include words that your child has difficulty spelling. Invite your child to write the most “problematic” words several times in a row on a separate piece of paper. Periodically arrange dictations only from individual words, where for every two or three familiar words there will be one word that causes serious spelling difficulties.

Find literacy tests on the Internet, where the child can not only find out his level, but gradually improve it, increasing his rating each time.

Tell your child more often that a person who can speak beautifully and write correctly has a much greater chance of getting a prestigious education and Good work than his illiterate peer.

Every person needs to master the skills of competent oral and written speech. It is important to be able to express yourself clearly in both a foreign and native language.

If you notice that you often make mistakes when spelling, don't worry. There are ways in which you can forever forget about awkward writing mistakes and master the skills of flawless spelling in the shortest possible time.

  1. Read. By reading fiction, you enrich your vocabulary and, without noticing it, remember the rules of spelling and punctuation. Moreover, you train yourself to express your thoughts competently and coherently. It is very important to read good literature, for example, classical works written in accordance with all the norms of the Russian language. Contemporary, critically acclaimed novels are also suitable. When reading works written in past centuries, remember that some phrases and words have fallen out of use and sound appropriate only on the pages of books.
  2. Write. Practice is even more important than theory. Write dictations by hand, practice on the keyboard, be sure to check every word and every punctuation mark. You can ask other people to evaluate your work.
  3. Develop your auditory memory. Read excerpts from works aloud. Pay attention to all letters and punctuation marks, if necessary, read syllable by syllable. Stop at commas and periods, change intonation at exclamations and question marks. Have someone read aloud to you or listen to audiobooks.
  4. Rewrite. Knowing the rules of spelling is important, but applying them is even more important. Make it a rule to rewrite 4 sheets of paper a day. Gradually increase the volume. Get a dictionary or book with spelling and punctuation rules. Rosenthal's reference book is perfect. Every time you have a problem with a particular word, turn to the educational literature.
  5. Structure what you write. Don’t write scatteredly, accustom yourself to order. Follow the stages of text development: start with the introduction, then move on to the main part, do not forget about the conclusion. In the introduction, briefly explain what will be discussed in the main part, and in the conclusion, summarize all of the above. Feel free to add your own conclusions.
  6. Write simply and gracefully. Avoid jargon and colloquial expressions, but do not try to express yourself too pompously. Loaded with punctuation marks and overly complex speech patterns interfere with the perception of the text.
  7. Evaluate your work. You can keep a diary in which you will grade each of your classes. In it you will write down words with which you have problems and introduce particularly complex rules.
