First you need to prepare the apples.

Take a teaspoon and cut out the top of the apple.

The first recipe. Apples baked with cottage cheese, sour cream and raisins filling

Let's prepare the filling. Mix cottage cheese and sour cream. The mixture should be airy. If the cottage cheese is a bit dry, don’t skimp on the sour cream, otherwise the filling will be dry after baking. Add sugar and raisins to taste.

You need to bake the apples until the pulp is ready. Readiness can be determined visually by the “wrinkling” of the peel or using a wooden toothpick (a baked apple can be easily pierced).

The second recipe. Apples baked with sour cream filling

Mix sour cream and sugar to taste. If available, add fruit. Small pieces of banana, raisins, cranberries, etc. will do.

Despite the apparent simplicity of this filling, it is one of our family’s favorites. No wonder they say: “everything ingenious is simple.”

Recipe three. Apples with cottage cheese and honey

Mix cottage cheese and honey, cinnamon.

By the way, you can add cinnamon not only inside the filling, but also sprinkle it on already baked apples.

Bake until done.

Recipe four. Apples with honey and lemon

Mix honey and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a one to one ratio. It should taste sweet and sour. Fill half the hole in the apple with the mixture.

Bake the apple until done.

Many of our readers are familiar with the recipe for baking apples with honey. This is a well-known and respected method, but I would like to add one clarification. During cooking in the oven, honey begins to foam and extends beyond the recess in the apple. So add honey exactly half of the well.

You can show a little imagination and come up with your own unique filling for baking apples.

Even very delicious apples, just picked from the tree, can get boring. Then baked apples in the oven come to the rescue - everyday dietary dish or an elegant holiday treat, depending on what ingredients you included in the recipe and how you presented it. Magic Food has put together a collection of recipes: from a simply cooked apple to a complex pie, but I’ll start with general principles cooking.

Theory of the issue

Whole or pieces?

Traditionally, apples stuffed with filling are baked whole. To do this, the top of the fruit is cut off, the core is removed with a special knife, and the filling is placed in a hole approximately 3 cm wide. However, this method is not the only one. Apples are wrapped in dough (apples in dough), cut into pieces or slices and baked, sprinkled with sugar and spices, included in the composition apple pie- whole, without cutting into slices or otherwise.

About fillings and sauces

Recipes for baked apples include a variety of dessert and snack fillings. The most popular are sugar, nuts, especially walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon. Minced meat for baked apples can include almost all dried fruits, berries, ginger, vanilla, nutmeg, star anise, and cloves. Fruits of paradise are stuffed with cottage cheese and rice, oatmeal, pumpkin and citrus pieces. Before putting it in the oven, place a couple of peas of butter on the minced meat. Drizzle with liquid honey, maple syrup, lemon juice, toppings, sauces. Served with scoops of ice cream, cream, and jam.

Sometimes recipes call for cooking apples with water, which prevents them from burning. You get baked apples in your own sauce: water mixed with juice and melted butter. When serving, pour the sauce from the baking sheet over the finished apples.

Which apples are good for cooking in the oven?

You can bake any fruit, but it’s better autumn varieties(they have a hard skin that won’t fall apart), medium size, since large ones take longer to bake. Equally good are the solid Antonovka and Granny Smith, Simirenko and McIntosh - keyword Here " hard“, they retain their shape when baked. The peel can also be removed before or after cooking.

More tips:

  1. Peeled apples or, as in our case, with the core removed, darken, sprinkle them with lemon juice or cook immediately.
  2. Stuff not very tightly, leave 1 cm empty on top so that the filling does not leak out. The “bottom” of the apple should be approximately the same thickness (1.5 cm).
  3. Ready apples can be easily pierced with a knife. The apples are very hot straight out of the oven, let them cool!
  4. Don't leave uneaten dessert on the table - put it in the refrigerator. It will normally stay there for 2-3 days.

Apple in dough, cooked in the oven

But this is already my favorite option - a soft and juicy apple goes perfectly with a thin and crispy shell of shortcrust pastry. Of course, it turns out a little more satisfying than in classic version However, a couple of extra calories are worth it!

Ingredients

  • about 5-6 apples;
  • 2-3 tbsp. l. thick jam red (cherry, currant, plum);
  • 100 g quality butter;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • 100 g powdered sugar;
  • 200 g flour.

How to bake an apple in dough

  1. Chop the frozen butter with powder, salt and flour - chop quickly and finely. I use a food processor, but two knives also work well for this job.
  2. We collect the dough into a ball, then divide it into 5-6 parts (depending on the number of apples), wrap it in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  3. At this time, wash and peel the apples, remove the core, and do this on the side opposite the cutting (let it remain - it’s more beautiful with it!). We put a little jam inside each apple.
  4. We take out the dough (one ball at a time), roll it into a round shape and wrap it around the apple, starting from the side of the “hole” with jam. Perhaps you will have very large fruits - then you can simply make a “plate” in which to place the apple. I like it this way even more - when I eat three servings at once, I amuse myself with the illusion that there is not enough dough in them, just a little!
  5. Place the apples in the dough in a baking dish and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about half an hour.

Ready! Delicious, incredibly tasty when warm (with a scoop of ice cream - you'll swallow your tongue!), amazing, incredibly crispy and juicy when cold (with whipped cream - you'll sell your homeland!).

Twice baked apple in the oven

A delicious and delicate dessert that is not ashamed to serve festive table– it not only looks amazing, but also tastes magical!

Ingredients

  • 6 apples;
  • half a lemon;
  • 50 ml cream;
  • a handful of nuts;
  • 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 1 yolk;
  • 2 cinnamon sticks.

How to cook apples, twice baked in the oven

  1. Peel 4 apples and cut them in half crosswise. I recommend leaving a “tail” on the top half of the apple - this way the apple will look much more original and fun.
  2. Use a special spoon or a sharp knife to remove the core - make sure that you remove the membranes along with the seed pod (it is very unpleasant when hard membranes appear in the tender pulp of baked apples).
  3. Place the halves together and place the apples in a baking dish. Add a little water (it should not cover the fruit by more than 1 cm) and put the apples in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for half an hour.
  4. Wash the remaining 2 apples, peel them, remove the core and grate them on a medium grater. Mix with sugar, yolk and cream, add the juice and zest of half a lemon. The filling is ready.
  5. We take the apples out of the oven, open them and place the bottom half in portioned serving rings that are suitable for baking in the oven. If you (like me) don’t have such “happiness” yet, you can fold the foil several times and make rings of the desired diameter from it.
  6. Fill the rings with filling up to the top cut, cover with the “lid” from the top of the apple and place in the same baking dish. Place cinnamon sticks nearby and bake for another half hour at 180 degrees. Periodically remove the pan from the oven and pour over the resulting juice.

Delicious both hot and cold. Serve sprinkled with roasted and chopped nuts. Incredibly delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Pie with baked apples and chocolate filling

It looks like baked apples, but in the form of a pie! A magical recipe for fruit and chocolate lovers. Ideal for a large family tea party.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs;
  • 1 glass of sour cream;
  • 2 tbsp. l. butter;
  • 1 glass of sugar;
  • 1 tsp. soda;
  • 1/3 tsp. salt;
  • 1.5 cups flour;
  • 5-7 small apples;
  • 1 chocolate bar;
  • 3 tbsp. l. cream;
  • 100 g shortbread cookies;
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.

Recipe for pie with baked apples in the oven

  1. First of all, wash the fruits and remove the skins. If they do not “stand” very steadily on the table, it is worth cutting off a little of the apple from the bottom. Using a special knife, you need to remove the core, removing all the seeds and films from the apple.
  2. Prepare a baking dish - cover it with paper and, if you don’t trust the quality of the parchment, lightly grease it with any oil.
  3. We lay out, or rather, we put out the apples - evenly distributing them throughout the entire form.
  4. We break the cookies into small pieces, very small ones. Break the chocolate into pieces, add cream, heat in the microwave or in a water bath, pour into cookies, add cinnamon and mix thoroughly.
  5. Stuff the apples with the resulting mixture.
  6. Prepare the dough. Beat sugar and eggs, add melted butter. Separately mix sour cream, salt and soda, add to the egg mixture. Sift the flour and mix until smooth.
  7. Pour the resulting dough over the apples and bake at 180 degrees for at least an hour. We check readiness with a toothpick - make sure that it pierces the dough and not the apples. Due to the moisture of the apples, the pie will take longer to bake than usual, so keep that in mind!

When cutting the pie into portioned pieces, try to move the knife in such a way as to cut the apple in half (the fruit is clearly visible from the tubercles under the dough) - then on the cut you will get extraordinary beauty: yellowish sour cream sponge cake, white apples, dark chocolate.

About the benefits

List vitamins and elements periodic table Mendeleev, which apples are rich in, I won’t talk about - it’s boring and uninteresting, and so everyone knows that the only thing healthier than this fruit is a basket of fruits. They cleanse the body, fill it with nutrients, remove cholesterol, strengthen the immune system - all this and a bunch of other advantages turn the apple into an indispensable component. healthy eating However, in my opinion, this is not the main thing.

It's delicious. Just delicious, and that says it all! It is unlikely that you will endlessly chew, for example, parsley root just because it is healthy. But you can eat apples – and almost endlessly. The ending is determined solely by the moment the house runs out of apples. Red and green, yellow and orange, small and large, tight and soft, sour and sweet, juicy and fleshy - the choice of options that an apple has is so great that you can please everyone.

The calorie content of a baked apple is 47 kcal.

They say that when baked, this fruit is much better absorbed by the body. I fully believe that after baking, the hero of the day acquires the ability to improve metabolic processes, accelerate the removal of all debris from the intestines and have a beneficial effect on the skin.

They also say that with regular consumption of baked apples there is a definite opportunity to lose weight - potassium, which large quantities"lives" in this product, successfully fights sodium, which retains moisture in subcutaneous fat. At the same time, 100 g of baked apple contains only 47 kcal. A nonsense benefit, of course, but still nice! In general, long live the apple!

“How easy it is to prepare baked apples,” I thought, rubbing my hands and looking at the oven in which the fruit was languishing. It was my first time preparing a treat, but I was very inspired by the very appetizing aroma that managed to not only fill the kitchen, but also “crawl” into other rooms. “Why do they publish recipes with photos, because everything is already clear,” I continued to be mentally indignant and was already even imagining how I would serve neat apples. But when I opened the door, my high spirits disappeared somewhere. On the baking sheet, instead of an appetizing delicacy, there were 6 piles of puree burnt on the bottom. Of course, we ate the spoiled dessert. And I realized that in preparing even the most simple dish has its own nuances and secrets. I tried to collect them here.

Required set of products:

How to cook baked apples in the oven (step-by-step recipe with photos):

Choose apples that are large enough, but not huge. So that you don’t have to feast on the shapeless, but delicious puree, choose fruits with firm, dense pulp and pronounced sourness. Almost ripe specimens are perfect. The variety, in principle, does not matter. Wash the apples thoroughly.

Cut off about 1/4-1/5 of the top. Do not throw away the resulting “hats”. Tear off the tails or leave them (optional).

Use a knife or a special tool to remove the core. Cut carefully so as not to cut through the bottom. Then the filling will flow onto the baking sheet and burn.

This cooking method describes the simplest filling for baked apples. But before baking in the oven, you can stuff the fruits with almost anything. I suggest reading other options for minced meat. Place a piece of butter into the hole formed.

Add a spoonful of sugar. I took the regular one, but you can add a pinch of vanilla (or vanillin), if you like, of course.

Cover the tops of the apples. You can set the “hats” a little askew so that the juice does not flow out too intensely.

Place the preparations on a baking sheet. Pour 100 ml of filtered water into the bottom. Place the apples in a preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Cooking time depends on the size of the fruit and its hardness.

Slightly wrinkled, but very tasty apples can be sprinkled with powdered sugar before serving.

More filling options:

  • Cottage cheese. Instead of butter, add a spoonful of fat to the apples curd mass. Mix the cottage cheese with sweetener and sour cream (if the mixture turns out to be dry) and blend with a blender until it becomes creamy. Stuff the fruit and bake in the oven as indicated in the recipe above. To accommodate more filling, when cutting out the core, grab more pulp. This will make the walls of the edible “ware” thinner. The tenderness of the cottage cheese can be emphasized with chopped lemon or orange zest. Raisins or dried apricots will also help diversify the dessert.
  • By the way, about dried fruits. They can be used as an independent apple filling. Take a handful of prunes, dried apricots, raisins and other dried fruits as desired, rinse them thoroughly. Pour boiling water over it. After 15 minutes, drain the water. Cut the steamed dried fruits into small pieces. Mix with sugar and fill with the main ingredient.
  • Well-baked apples also go well with nuts. Any will do - walnuts, cashews, almonds and more budget-friendly peanuts. Toast the nuts in a dry frying pan. Peel (if necessary). Chop with a knife, pass through a meat grinder or grind into a paste using a blender. Mix with a little honey. Vitamin supplement is ready! Use it as intended.
  • Condensed milk. Both boiled and “raw” will do. Just put a tablespoon of the treat into the “gutted” apples and set the future treat to bake. You can add some nuts or dried fruits to the condensed milk.
  • To prepare another healthy delicacy, add berries to the treat. Fresh or frozen - it doesn't matter. Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, currants, etc. Combine the berries with a sweetener... And you already know how to proceed.
  • Use your favorite jam using the same principle.
  • You can also emphasize the taste of baked apples with spices. Cinnamon, vanilla (which I already wrote about), a pinch of cardamom. Well, very tasty!
