Who is ranked after the general? What are the ranks of generals in the Russian army?

In the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, two types of ranks have been established for persons undergoing military service - military and naval. IN ancient Rus' The presence of insignia and certain military units formed on a permanent basis was completely excluded. The division of the then pitiful semblance of a standing army into separate formations took place in accordance with the number of soldiers who were in one or another formation. The principle was as follows: ten warriors - a unit called the “ten”, led by the “ten”. Then everything is in the same spirit.

The history of the emergence of military ranks in Russia

Under Ivan the Terrible, and later under Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich, this system underwent some changes: Streltsy hundreds appeared, and military ranks appeared in them. At that time, the hierarchy of ranks was the following list:

  • Sagittarius
  • foreman
  • Pentecostal
  • centurion
  • head

Of course, between all the above ranks and the ranks that currently exist, the following analogy can be drawn: a foreman is a warrior, in our time performing the duties of a sergeant, or a foreman, a pentecostal is a lieutenant, and a centurion, respectively, is a captain.

After some time, already during the reign of Peter the Great, the hierarchical system of ranks was again transformed to the following:

  • soldier
  • corporal
  • ensign
  • lieutenant, called lieutenant
  • captain (captain)
  • quartermaster
  • major
  • lieutenant colonel
  • Colonel

The year 1654 became outstanding in the history of the formation of military ranks in Russia. It was then that for the first time in the history of Russia the rank of general was awarded. Its first owner was Alexander Ulyanovich Leslie, the leader of the operation to capture and liberate Smolensk.

Categories of military ranks in the Russian Army

One of the largest political events of the 20th century that occurred in Russia, namely October Revolution 1917 was the last stage towards the formation of an established system of military ranks, which has not undergone any changes for a whole century.

Military ranks

  1. Private. One of the first, considered the lowest military rank of the Russian Armed Forces.
  2. Corporal. A rank that is awarded to military personnel who are part of the armed forces of the Russian Federation for any military distinction.
  1. Major.
  2. Lieutenant colonel.
  3. Colonel.

Ship ranks

Ship ranks can simply be listed in order of seniority (from lowest to highest) due to their full correspondence with the land equivalent:

  1. Sailor, senior sailor.
  2. Foreman of the 2nd (second) article, foreman of the 1st (first) article, chief foreman, chief foreman - representatives of a group of military personnel classified as sergeants and foremen.

  3. Midshipman, senior midshipman - military personnel of the group of warrant officers and midshipmen.
  4. Junior lieutenant, lieutenant, senior lieutenant, captain-lieutenant - a group of military personnel representing junior officers.

  5. Captain 3 (third) rank, captain 2 (second) rank, captain 1 (first) rank - representatives of senior officers.

  6. Rear admiral, vice admiral, admiral, and fleet admiral are representatives of senior officers, respectively.

As with military ranks, the highest military rank for the navy is Marshal of the Russian Federation.

What is very noteworthy is that naval and military military ranks are also assigned to the following formations: the security forces of the Russian Federation - the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, etc., as well as water border formations that ensure security near coastal borders.

Colors and types of shoulder straps

Now let's turn to the shoulder straps. With them, unlike ranks, things are somewhat more complicated.

Shoulder straps are usually distinguished according to the following series of criteria:

  • the color of the shoulder strap itself (different depending on the military structure);
  • the order of arrangement of distinctive signs on shoulder straps (also depending on a particular military structure);
  • the color of the decals themselves on the shoulder straps (similar to the points above).

There is another important criterion - the form of clothing. Accordingly, the army does not have the widest selection of clothing, which is allowed according to the regulations. More precisely, there are only three of them: everyday uniform, field uniform and dress uniform.

Shoulder straps of non-officers

Let's start with a description of the everyday uniform and the shoulder straps that come with it:

The everyday uniform of non-officers includes shoulder straps with two narrow stripes along the edges of the longitudinal part. Such shoulder straps can be seen on the shoulders of privates, non-commissioned officers, and warrant officers. All these images are presented above in the sections of military and naval ranks.

Officer's shoulder straps

Shoulder straps for the everyday uniform of officers are divided into three more subtypes:

  • Shoulder straps for the everyday uniform of junior officers: have only one stripe running down the center along the shoulder strap itself.
  • Shoulder straps for the everyday uniform of senior officers: they have two longitudinal stripes, also located in the center.
  • Shoulder straps for the everyday uniform of senior officers: they differ sharply from each of the previous types in that they have a special fabric relief over the entire area of the shoulder strap. The edges are framed by one narrow strip. A distinctive sign is also the stars that follow strictly in one row.
  • It is impossible not to include in a separate group the Marshal of the Russian Federation and the type of shoulder straps corresponding to his everyday uniform: they also have a special fabric relief, which was mentioned in the paragraph above, but are fundamentally different in color. If the shoulder straps in each of the previous paragraphs were a rectangle dark green, then these same ones are distinguished by their immediately striking golden color, which is quite consistent with the high-profile title of their bearer.

An interesting fact is that on February 22, 2013, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree that on the shoulder straps of army generals and admirals of the Russian Navy there will be one star with a diameter of 40 mm instead of 4 stars in one line as before. The corresponding image is presented above.

  • Non-officer field uniform: shoulder straps are a regular rectangle, camouflaged as a summer taiga with a transverse (or longitudinal) stripe.
  • Field uniform for junior officers: stars of relatively small size serve as a distinctive sign.
  • Field uniform of senior officers: major, lieutenant colonel have one and two large stars on their shoulder straps, respectively, colonel - three.
  • Field uniform of senior officers: all persons holding ranks in accordance with the previously announced composition have absolutely the same structure (dark green stars, strictly in a row), but shoulder straps different in the number of distinctive insignia. Just like in everyday uniforms, the General of the Army and the Marshal of the Russian Federation are distinguished by large stars

These features can be seen in more detail in the picture:

It was not long before military clothing became comfortable and practical. Initially, her beauty was valued more than the qualities mentioned a little earlier. Fortunately, when Alexandra III(third) came the understanding that rich uniforms are too expensive. It was then that practicality and convenience began to be considered the primary value.

In certain periods of time, the soldier's uniform resembled ordinary peasant attire. Even in the conditions of the already existing Red Army, little attention was paid to the fact that there was no uniform military uniform. The only distinctive sign of all soldiers was a red bandage on their sleeves and hats.

Even shoulder straps managed to be replaced for some time with ordinary triangles and squares, and only in 1943 were they returned as distinctive signs.

By the way, to this day, military personnel of the Russian Federation wear a uniform that was designed by the well-known fashion designer V. Yudashkin in 2010.

Senior sergeant (rank) is assigned to the deputy platoon commander. You can call the position the most responsible among soldiers. There will be as many such officers in companies as there are platoons.

All senior sergeants are assistants to warrant officers and other officers. It is desirable that they are personally acquainted with each of their subordinates, know their strengths and weaknesses, and know how to manage and punish if necessary.

The senior sergeant has a wide area in pursuit.

General information

A senior sergeant represents (also found in other units). In accordance with rank, he is located below the sergeant major, but above the sergeant. Although all these ranks only superficially relate to the officer corps.

Sometimes senior sergeant is pronounced in conjunction with other words. It all depends on where he serves:

  1. Senior sergeant of the guard, if the officer is present in the corresponding military unit, or serves on a guard ship.
  2. Senior medical/justice sergeant, if the officer is in the reserves but has skills in medicine or law.
  3. Reserve/retired senior sergeant, if the officer does not continue to serve in the unit.

There are other categories within the Russian IMF. Here the senior sergeant receives the rank of chief petty officer. But the position on staff remains the same. The employee serves as a deputy platoon commander.

Length of service of junior management personnel

All titles are assigned to employees of the relevant bodies depending on several parameters: position held, education, qualifications and some other factors that are noted in these Regulations. Those that are aimed at junior command staff are assigned by managers who are higher in the ranks.

This Regulation establishes the following periods of length of service:

  • private - one year;
  • junior sergeant - one year;
  • sergeant - two years;
  • senior sergeant - three years;
  • ensign - five years;

The sergeant major (the rank after senior sergeant) does not have a specific length of service. He is awarded subsequent ranks depending on his personal attitude to the service, qualifications, and various career achievements. The situation is the same with the senior warrant officer.

Early assignment of title

When talking about how long it is from sergeant to senior sergeant, one cannot fail to take into account the early assignment of rank. The standard version will have to last two years. But the title can be assigned before the expiration of the term. There are several rules:

  1. Anyone who is assigned a new rank ahead of schedule must stand out during the service, earn high results, cope with responsibilities perfectly, and also show exemplary behavior.
  2. The one who is assigned the title must do something that is not part of his duties, quickly navigate his own actions.

Early ranks are assigned by senior management in strict accordance with the implementation of all clauses of these Regulations. Also, it cannot be prescribed to a person “over the head.” That is, only a sergeant can become a senior sergeant. If he is a private, then he will not be able to receive such an early promotion.

In some cases, early rank cannot be awarded. For example, if a person needs to undergo training or gain specific skills (senior sergeant of justice and the like).

Delay or deprivation of rank

Senior sergeant may not be awarded after length of service. This happens for several reasons:

  • Availability of written disciplinary statements.
  • There is a violation of the law, which is why a criminal case is initiated.
  • An audit is being conducted to identify official violations.

In such cases, a new rank is not assigned until the end of the proceedings, or the officer is completely deprived of it. It depends on the category of violation.

Demotion in rank is a measure when there is a disciplinary statement. Sometimes such a decision is made by immediate superiors if they find someone better at full-time position, in case of failure to fulfill official obligations, negligent attitude towards service. And there is an opportunity to be restored to rank no earlier than in a year, if the direct superiors make such a decision. They may also be completely deprived of their rank for crimes against the army and Russia as a whole.

Assignment of title

The rank of senior sergeant is received before the sergeant major. In order to achieve this level, you will need to take special courses in the training program for the relevant full-time employees of the service unit. This differs significantly from, for example, a private or a corporal. Accordingly, this title is not awarded as an incentive, regardless of the rank of senior management.

But senior ranks can send a soldier to sergeant training courses. He has no right to do this on his own. Otherwise, all privates or corporals would have long ago become sergeants.

The minimum journey from junior sergeant to senior sergeant is six months. During this period, the officer can stand out and earn a reputation before senior management.

Conclusion

Thus, senior sergeant is the penultimate rank (the last is foreman) that an ordinary soldier can receive without graduating from college. It is enough to take several courses, some of them are conducted directly in the unit. To receive subsequent promotions, if an officer decides to remain in the military, he will be required to complete training.

In many ways, they have preserved the system inherited from the armed forces of the USSR. But the modern system of military ranks has acquired its own unique features.

Structure of ranks of the armed forces and rank and file

Ranks in the troops of our country can be divided into several categories:

  • Rank and file.
  • Junior officers.
  • Senior officers.
  • Senior officers.

The lowest rank in the modern troops of our country is private. This title is worn by people serving in the military. They began to call ordinary military personnel of the USSR army after the war; before, the terms “Red Army soldier” and “fighter” were in use.

Private reserves can be called those citizens of the country who have a military specialty: a doctor or a lawyer. They are called “ordinary medical service” or, in turn, “ordinary justice”.

Also called enlisted are cadets who undergo training to achieve officer's shoulder straps. During their studies, they can receive ranks related to the rank and file, and, upon completion of training, receive their first officer rank.

The best and most experienced of the rank and file receive the rank of corporal. This military rank has the right to replace the junior officer commanding the department. A private receives the rank of corporal for the impeccable performance of his duties and adherence to ideal discipline.

Following the corporal comes the rank of junior sergeant. The holder of this rank can command a squad or combat vehicle. In special cases, a private or corporal may, before leaving military service, be awarded the appointment of a junior sergeant in the reserve.

A sergeant who is higher in the service hierarchy than a junior sergeant also has the right to command a squad or combat vehicle. The rank was introduced into the Soviet armed forces before the war, in 1940. Its holders underwent special training in their units or were promoted from the most distinguished junior sergeants. Next in the structure of our armed forces is the staff sergeant.

This is followed by the positions of foremen, which were introduced in the Soviet army somewhat earlier than sergeants - in 1935. In today's Russian army, the best senior sergeants who served in the previous rank for at least six months and received a promotion to a position with the rank of foreman become sergeants.

Within his company, the sergeant major serves as the superior officer for the personnel, consisting of sergeants and privates. The sergeant major is subordinate to the officer commanding the company and can act as company commander when he is absent.

Since 1972, the Soviet troops have been replenished with the rank of warrant officer, and since 1981 - senior warrant officer. Its holders, as a rule, graduate from military educational institutions corresponding to their profile, which do not have higher status. Warrant officers are assistants to junior officers.

The lowest officer rank in the troops of our country is junior lieutenant. Today, it is often possessed by cadets completing their studies in military educational institutions, as well as graduates of lieutenant schools at military units. Sometimes the rank of junior lieutenant can be received by graduates of civilian specialties, as well as warrant officers who have shown zeal and ability to serve.

Typically, graduates of military universities become lieutenants. After an appropriate period of service and passing certification with a positive result, junior lieutenants move to the next level - lieutenant. The next level among the ranks of junior officers is the rank of senior lieutenant and captain. The rank of an engineering officer at this stage is “engineer captain,” and that of an artillery officer is battalion commander (battery commander). In infantry units, a military man with the rank of captain commands a company.

Senior officer ranks include major, lieutenant colonel and colonel. The major has the right to command a training company or be an assistant battalion commander. The lieutenant colonel commands a battalion or serves as an assistant regiment commander.

The colonel has the right to command a regiment, brigade and be deputy division commander. This officer rank was introduced into the armed forces of our country along with a number of others in 1935. In the Navy, the three senior officer ranks of the ground forces correspond to their own ranks of captains of the third, second and first ranks.

The first highest officer rank of the Russian troops is major general. The holder of this rank can command a division (a unit of up to 15 thousand personnel), and also be a deputy corps commander.

Next comes the rank of lieutenant general. Historically, it arose from the position of a senior officer who was the second-in-command of a general. The word "lieutenant" is translated as "deputy". Such a high-ranking officer may command a corps or be deputy commander of an army. Lieutenant generals also serve in military headquarters.

A colonel general may be deputy commander of a military district or command an army. Holders of this military rank hold positions in the General Staff or the Ministry of Defense. Finally, above is the highest military rank of our country's troops - army general. Today, senior officers of individual branches of the military - artillery, communications, etc. can become army generals.

In the naval forces of our country, the highest officer positions correspond to rear admiral, vice admiral, admiral and fleet admiral.

When we think about the military leaders of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War, the holders of the rank of “marshal” traditionally come to mind - G.K. Zhukov, I.S. Konev, K.K. Rokossovsky. However, in the post-Soviet period, this rank practically disappeared, and the functions of marshals were transferred to army generals.

In 1935, marshal was introduced as the highest personal military rank. Soviet Union. It was awarded to the most worthy representatives of the highest military leadership and could serve as a badge of honor. In 1935, a number of senior military figures in the Soviet country became marshals, holding senior positions in the army.

Three of the first five marshals of the USSR came under the blow of repression in the years following their appointment. Therefore, before the start of the war, Semyon Timoshenko, Grigory Kulik and Boris Shaposhnikov, who replaced them in responsible positions, became the new marshals of the Soviet Union.

During the war, the highest rank of marshal was awarded to the most distinguished commanders. The first of the “wartime” marshals was Georgy Zhukov. Almost all the senior military men who led the fronts became marshals. Joseph Stalin received the rank of marshal in 1943. The basis was the “positions he held” of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and People's Commissar of Defense.

In the post-war period, Secretary General L.I. received a rare military rank for the country. Brezhnev. Marshals were persons who held the post of Minister of Defense - Nikolai Bulgarin, Dmitry Ustinov and Sergei Sokolov. In 1987, Dmitry Yazov became Minister of Defense, and three years later he received a personal senior officer rank. Today he is the only surviving retired marshal.

In 1943, while the war was going on, the USSR began to use the rank of marshal of the military branch. A little later, the ranks of marshals of special forces were added to them. In the same year, a number of the country's highest military councils became such marshals. In particular, the famous military leader Pavel Rotmistrov became a marshal tank troops. In 1943, the rank of chief marshal of the military branch was also introduced.

Most of the ranks of chief marshals were abolished in 1984 - retained exclusively for aviation and artillery. But after 1984, none of the representatives of the country’s top military leadership received them either. The ranks of marshals and chief marshals of military branches were finally abolished in 1993. In 1991, Evgeniy Shaposhnikov became the last air marshal in the modern history of the country.

In the modern army of our country there is a title - “Marshal of the Russian Federation”. As in the pre-war period, this is the highest personal military rank. The reason for receiving the rank of marshal may be the officer’s special services to the country, recognized by the President.

In 1997, the title was awarded to Igor Sergeev. The awarding of this rank followed the appointment of Igor Dmitrievich as Minister of Defense of our country. In 2001, the military man retired from active service and until the end of his life he held the rank of retired marshal.

Modern ranks in the Russian army are inherited from Soviet period. The Russian Army has partially retained its previous structure and military units. Therefore, the system of military ranks and positions has not undergone major changes.

Senior officers our country is represented by generals who also have their own internal military gradation:

Military ranks and shoulder straps in the Russian naval forces

The obligations and status in the naval forces are similar to those used in the land forces, but the designations for sailors are different.

Junior ranks:

The gradation of ranks in the naval forces is as follows (starting with junior officer ranks):

Average officer naval ranks are divided as follows:

The composition of the highest category is characterized by the following titles:

In any case, a soldier must pass the test of time before he can perform the duties of the highest ranks.

Then 13 options were considered, many of them were worked on by the best

In Russian legislation, a number of documents establish the need to provide military personnel. In general, this concept is quite flexible, since it is necessary to take into account all the rights of a citizen serving in military service in order to list all the components of allowance. Therefore, provision is divided into several categories: monetary allowance, clothing provision, medical care, food housing provision. For each category

Each element of a military uniform has a specific purpose and does not appear on it by chance, but under the influence of certain conditions, including historical ones. We can say that each element of the form carries both a historical load and a utilitarian purpose. There is a widespread misconception that shoulder straps as an element of a military uniform come from knightly armor, or rather metal shoulder plates that protected a warrior’s shoulders from saber strikes. This is a misconception from year to year,

The time of multimillion-strong mass armies is coming to an end. Nowadays, the outcome of the battle is decided by relatively few professionals, and the level of training of the fighter and his equipment comes first. Despite wide application electronics on the battlefield, its outcome, as before, is decided by people. The time when a fighter had an AK-47 at his disposal and was protected only by body armor of not the best quality and is not always gradually becoming history. Almost all advanced armies

The unloading vest, of course, is far from the only type of combat equipment, but today the situation has developed that a fighter, when purchasing equipment, chooses either a combat breastplate or a unloading vest. Apart from Russia, where the RZh unloading vest is part of the standard equipment of an infantryman, vests are used in many armies around the world. Turkish mountain riflemen, gendarmerie and rangers are working against the Kurds to unload the load. Having large selection various

Increasingly, in news reports from hot spots, you can hear the word special forces, which means special forces units as part of certain security or law enforcement agencies. This indicates the increased role of special operations forces of the FSB and GRU units in resolving power conflicts. To effectively achieve your goals, you need an appropriate form of clothing, which, in addition to convenience, should protect the fighter from

Almost all modern armies are supplied with uniforms intended for use directly on the battlefield, field uniforms. Most armies in the world have this uniform in camouflage coloring. This material provides an overview of the main camouflage colors currently used in various armies of the world. It should also be noted that this material does not cover the topics of uniform cut, quality characteristics of fabric, and the like.

There can be no regimes in matters of state security. Sovereignty and integrity must remain top level every minute all year round. To ensure reliable protection, the state is obliged to maintain a powerful army, ready at any moment to repel an attack from an external enemy. Military activity is a complex process that does not stop day or night. Even when the personnel seem to be resting, there are duty officers, guards, patrol officers,

Relationships in the army must be strictly regulated. This requirement arises from at least two considerations. The first is that the personnel is a quasi-group organized according to some common characteristics. Psychologists say that if such a group is left to its own devices, conflicts in relationships will soon arise. The second statement is more significant. The army must not only be numerous, but also functional and controllable.

As long as the soldier has not retired to the reserve and remains on the list of unit personnel, he is guided by the general military regulations. Certain standards have also been developed for a serviceman in the event of his temporary stay outside the unit. But, as we know, the lack of control necessarily leads to violation of all rules, and the volume of these violations grows like an avalanche. Therefore, in any garrison, as a mandatory event, the organization of patrols is provided, which is carried out in places

They do not emit a warlike roar, they do not sparkle with a polished surface, they are not decorated with embossed coats of arms and plumes, and quite often they are generally hidden under jackets. However, today, without this armor, unsightly in appearance, it is simply unthinkable to send soldiers into battle or ensure the safety of VIPs. Body armor is clothing that prevents bullets from penetrating the body and, therefore, protects a person from shots. It is made from materials that dissipate

As you know, every element of the uniform of the military and security forces either has a practical purpose or exists as a kind of symbol, and shoulder straps are no exception. Shoulder straps, like all other elements of a military uniform, contain a rich history. However, there is a very popular misconception that shoulder straps as an element of a military uniform are descendants of knightly armor, namely special shoulder plates made of metal that protect the shoulders

Shoulder straps are insignia of one or another professional and similar corporation on uniform corporate clothing to designate a wide variety of corporate characteristics and differences in ranks of personal military ranks and special class ranks, positions of belonging to a specific ministry, department, organization or service, including clan troops, branches of the armed forces, special forces, and the like.

We will have to start the story about the introduction of insignia in the Soviet army with some general issues. In addition, a short excursion into the history of the Russian state will be useful so as not to formulate empty references to the past. The shoulder straps themselves represent a kind of product that is worn on the shoulders to indicate a position or rank, as well as the type of military service and service affiliation. This is done in several ways: attaching strips, sprockets, making gaps, chevrons.

Shoulder straps tsarist army The year 1914 is rarely mentioned in feature films and history books. Meanwhile this interesting object studied in the imperial age, during the reign of Tsar Nicholas II, uniforms were an object of art. Before the outbreak of World War I, the distinctive insignia of the Russian Army was significantly different from those used now. They were brighter and contained more information, but at the same time did not have functionality and were easily noticeable in the field

Shoulder straps are part of a serviceman's clothing, and the arrangement of stars on the shoulder straps is considered to be a sign of rank distinction between colleagues. However, it is very important to know at what distance the stars should be on this part of the uniform, since punctuality, discipline and strict adherence to instructions play a huge role in the army. A soldier's appearance must always be impeccable. The placement of stars on shoulder straps according to certain regulations also contributes to

Russia has completed the development of the new Ratnik combat equipment, which is a complex of weapons, personal protective equipment, reconnaissance and communications. The first serial sets of equipment have already been delivered to the troops. Several units of the Russian Ground Forces marched in them across Red Square on May 9, 2015. On June 1, 1998, by order of the Commander of the Railway Troops of the Russian Federation 171, the Veteran of the Railway Troops badge was established. This sign became the first official symbol that marked the beginning of the development of a strict departmental heraldic system in the Federal Service of the Railway Troops of the Russian Federation. A year earlier, in preparation for the 150th anniversary of military railway workers coming in 2001, the FSGV command decided to begin a comprehensive

Military clothing is the key to the high combat effectiveness of military forces. In Russia, the military uniform suits everyone necessary requirements it is convenient, reliable and performs its basic functions. A new military uniform in our country was released in 2015. Now every soldier of the military forces is equipped with it. Along with the new clothes, new rules for wearing them were issued, which must be followed by a soldier of any rank. Military uniforms are divided into three main types. Dress uniforms are used.

The modern Russian army has a complex hierarchical structure based on the subordination of lower levels to higher ones. Unconditional submission within the limits of the military regulations is defined by law, and violation of the order is punishable by a military court. In order to effectively carry out management activities, the hierarchical system is implemented by assigning each military personnel a certain military rank. Already at the very beginning of his conscription service, the young man receives the rank of private. Highest rank other than Supreme

Many articles, even from legally savvy specialists, are devoted to various ways to avoid military service. It is gratifying that the proportion of conscripts who are ready to cross the line of the law is quite small. Most guys not only realize the need to fulfill their civic duty, but also consider it their duty to spend a year in the army as a real soldier, who would be an excellent student in combat training, selflessly serve the Motherland, be in good standing with the officers and become the pride of his

Many people ignorant of military affairs may wonder what kind of troops the Russian army has. The answer here is very simple: Russian units include elite troops, ground units, navy, and aviation. Each part performs its own function. For large units, navy, air force, ground forces, there are support departments such as air defense, artillery. Many parts are intertwined. The regiments began to develop into their modern form after the collapse of the Russian Empire.

The army, to one degree or another, affects every citizen, so, willy-nilly, people are aware of it. But the army is too general and abstract a concept, including tanks and foot wraps, nuclear weapons and stars on shoulder straps, and much more. In order to organize troops by type, establish a certain hierarchy and divide the territory of the state into controlled areas, there is a special term - the organizational structure of the armed forces of the Russian Federation. With his help we are today

For any state, the armed forces are the guarantor of its security and inviolability of territorial borders. In Russia, the army organizes its activities on the basis of certain regulatory documents, these are Federal laws, Government Decrees, Presidential Decrees, as well as local resolutions of executive authorities in the regions. Thanks to a unified legal system, it is possible to effectively manage a contingent of thousands, distributing common tasks and quickly resolving security issues.

The army is perhaps the largest institution that is considered to be regularly functioning. If we add to the contingent currently in service all those liable for military service, including those in the reserves, then more than half of all Russian citizens will be covered. Naturally, the armed forces will reach such a size only as a last resort, when military aggression from another state is inevitable, but even with the existing military personnel, of whom there are hundreds of thousands, it is necessary to centrally

False shoulder straps, a derivative of false shoulder straps, are analogous to the shoulder straps on which stars are sewn. They differ from standard ones in that they are used in the field, since during military exercises or in a real combat situation it is necessary to act quickly and swiftly, and during such actions the stars may simply fall off the shoulder straps. Despite the fact that every military man has spare stars, no one needs extra losses. Besides

Since the founding of this type of troops, the uniform of the Airborne Forces has been no different from the clothing of the Red Army Air Force or special purpose air battalions. The set of clothing of a USSR intelligence soldier included a leather or blue-gray canvas helmet. Moleskin overalls could be either leather or blue-gray canvas. The collar of the overalls was equipped with blue buttonholes, where insignia were sewn. Already in the forties, military uniforms

The uniform of the Russian Navy has a rather long history. Over the decades, it has undergone and is undergoing many changes and the emergence of new and different versions of it. In the article we will look at a brief history of the form, its various variations and principles of wearing. History of naval dress The history of the Navy uniform dates back to the time of Peter the Great. By order of the powerful manager-emperor in 1696, the Boyar Duma adopted

In 2015, the Russian army will change its clothes. Some military personnel already have a new military uniform. According to the plan of the Russian Ministry of Defense, by the end of 2014, new uniforms were required to be provided to all military personnel. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Dmitry Bulgakov. The need to redress the ranks of the Russian army has existed for a long time. Along with the new set of clothes, new rules for wearing military uniforms will be introduced. In 2014, new clothing was received

New clothing for the Russian army was supposed to be developed back in 2009 under the leadership of the country's chief couturier Valenitin Yudashkin. However, the disagreement of the officers pushed back the deadline for its production. The new model military uniform was presented only in 2012, by the BTK Group company from St. Petersburg. The new military clothing is made of 8 layers. When performing various combat missions, a fighter can use the layer necessary for him, depending on

The Electrically Heated Ratnik-Arctic uniform, commissioned by the FSB Border Research Center, has been adopted by the FSB Border Service, which guards borders in the Arctic. The development of the form was carried out by NPC Voenform-design LLC. The technical conditions for the production of the uniform were prepared by June 2013, and in 2015, the Warrior-Arctic was first received by military personnel of the northernmost Russian border post Nagurskoye, located on Earth

Military uniform field, everyday and ceremonial uniforms are always regulated by the relevant decrees of the Ministry of Defense. However, there are special forces formations in the law enforcement agencies of ministries and departments not related to the Russian Armed Forces, which perform specific tasks, for which they use a very wide range of military and universal uniforms. Special forces uniforms Classification of special forces units Existing units

Traditional disclaimer. This article in no way claims to be complete or the ultimate truth. The topic of Russian equipment in the nineties is huge and complex, and my modest work is just a superficial educational program, an introduction to the topic. The USSR approached its collapse with very primitive equipment, which looked poor even against the backdrop of the then simple equipment of the NATO armies. However, in the nineties, despite the severe economic crisis and lack of money, progress in the field of military equipment,

Each branch and type of troops has its own attributes. In addition to the battle flag and chevrons, the concept of distinctive signs includes shoulder straps. It is by this accessory that one can determine not only the rank of a serviceman, but also his affiliation with one or another army. However, it is very difficult for an unprepared person to do this. Today we will try to understand the colors and letter designations on the shoulder straps of military personnel and cadets of the Russian army, as well as law enforcement agencies. Shoulder straps

Today I will tell you how to get a military rank in the army.

Initially, you will be a private, then comes a corporal, and after the corporal comes a junior sergeant, a sergeant and a senior sergeant. You may not hope for more, but this is not certain, since it is already very difficult to get a sergeant and senior sergeant in the army. Let's take it in order and start, of course, with the military rank of private.

  • ! Our DMB counter
  • Service life in 2019 (applies to everyone)
  • How to correctly (whoever is in the subject will understand what we are talking about)

What military ranks can a conscript soldier achieve?

I would also like to remind you that in addition to the army, we also have Navy, where military ranks differ from land ones, namely:

Assignment of the military rank of private

The initial military rank in the army is private. A private is an ordinary soldier who serves in the army and does not stand out in any way. This rank is stamped on your military ID at the assembly point from where you are from, and the date of assignment to the rank of private is the date of your discharge from military service. Ordinary soldiers have clean shoulder straps, and, as they say, “clean shoulder straps are clear conscience" There is nothing more to say about the military rank of private.

Assignment of the military rank of corporal

Let's talk about the next military rank - corporal, the so-called most trained soldier. As they say, “it is better to have the daughter of a prostitute than the son of a corporal,” I don’t know why this title is so disliked, but according to one of the many versions, this is connected with Tsarist Russia, where corporals at the front were placed in the first rank, and, accordingly, they died first.

How to get the rank of corporal? There is a so-called ShDS (staff list) - “shtatka”. This is in every company. In order to receive this rank, you need to hold the appropriate military position. That is, your position in this “staff” must correspond to your rank.

A corporal can be assigned to any soldier, for example, by title you will be , and the senior driver should have the rank of corporal.

Assignment of the military rank junior sergeant, sergeant

Military ranks of sergeants and senior officers

Next comes the rank of junior sergeant. Let's think about it, do you need it? A junior sergeant is usually a soldier who knows the regulations, who is able and willing to lead personnel, who is respected in the military team, not only by the soldiers, but also by the command. He may already be a squad leader. The squad commander is the soldier who will have him under his command. The squad leader must know everything about each soldier from his squad. And also skillfully manage them.

The direct superior of the squad commander will be the deputy platoon commander (zamkomplatoon) - this is the same junior sergeant or sergeant who will lead the entire platoon.

That is, there is a chain of military personnel, namely: private, corporal, junior sergeant and sergeant. Usually the platoon commander is a junior sergeant or sergeant, the squad commander is a corporal, and ordinary soldiers are simply in different platoons.

There is another method for obtaining a military rank. Let's say you approach your company commander and say that after the army you want to serve in the police or another law enforcement agency and the rank of junior sergeant will be useful to you to make it easier for you to move forward. Perhaps this will be enough to award you the military rank of junior sergeant (provided that you are really worthy of it).

The third option for assigning a military rank

Let's say - February 23 or May 9, usually regular and extraordinary military ranks are awarded on these holidays, and accordingly you can fall under this topic.

How else can you get a rank in the army?

This is when the old conscription retired and vacancies became available for military positions, for which the state provides for the military ranks of corporal or junior sergeant. And, since there will be no platoon commanders and squad commanders, any worthy soldier can be appointed to this position with the assignment of the next military rank.

Also, the rank of junior sergeant can be given for some merit, but this is very rare. So let's look at it: a private is a soldier who simply serves in the army. A corporal is the same soldier, but no longer a soldier and not yet a junior sergeant. Next comes the junior sergeant, who leads the squad, and the sergeant, who can already lead an entire platoon. But not all soldiers are given a sergeant. There will be only two or three of them in the company.

Conclusion: if you want to run around at night on platoon or squad business, fill out various documentation, monitor the whole platoon, get paid for them, etc., then you can become a junior sergeant. And if you just want to quietly serve in the army, then be a private.

As they say, everything is in your hands and in fact, make it so that you awarded military rank not that hard
