For strong impressions, we recommend going to another Gorny Altai- beyond the Seminsky pass. We traveled there by car.

In winter, ski resorts open in Belokurikha, Biryuzovaya Katun and Manzherok. All resorts have training trails for beginners, good hotels and special areas for recreation with children. The snow stays here longer, and the infrastructure of the resorts is constantly developing.

When to go. Best in summer and early fall. In summer +24...+28°С, a lot of rain. The weather is changeable because the climate is sharply continental. Don't look at the degrees - take warm clothes! In winter, mostly residents of neighboring regions come to ride. The weather in winter is sunny and frosty: during the day –12... –15°С, at night –18°С and below.

How to get there. The most convenient way for residents of Central Siberia is by car or bus. Everyone else must first fly to Gorno-Altaisk, Barnaul or Novosibirsk.


Veliky Ustyug

Where is the best place to relax with children in Russia in winter? During the New Year and Christmas holidays, visit the homeland of Santa Claus - Veliky Ustyug. Theatrical performances, noisy games and sleigh rides are more suitable for children of preschool and primary school age. Teenagers will be more interested in a tour of local museums and temples.

When to go. Of course, in winter. It is frosty, the temperature is about –20°C. There are a lot of tourists, so book hotels in advance.

How to get there. Getting here is not easy. Planes - from Moscow and St. Petersburg with a transfer in Cherepovets. The train is only available during the winter holidays, and even then tickets can only be purchased together with the tour.

Where is the best place to relax with a child in Russia in the spring? When it gets warmer (best in May), it’s ideal to go to St. Petersburg and its suburbs for a few days. Go to museums, see architecture, take a boat ride, just take a walk in the park. The most popular with children are trips to the Kunstkamera, the Hermitage, Summer garden, to the cruiser "Aurora", to the Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaac's Cathedral, and the Puppet Museum. Travel to Peterhof, Pavlovsk, Vyborg and Pushkin.

Residents of the central regions of Russia with older children can safely go to Seliger, the Caucasus and Crimean Mountains, and on a cruise along the Volga. Siberians and residents of the Urals - to Kamchatka, Kamchatka or Primorsky Krai. You can go horseback riding and hiking, rafting down rivers, fishing, climbing mountain peaks, climbing gorges and exploring caves - all this will require considerable physical endurance and dexterity. You can swim in Seliger, Baikal, Primorye and Karelia in mid-July and early August.

Karelia will be interesting for holidays with children of any age. There are 60 thousand lakes for every taste, including clean sandy beaches and a gentle entrance for relaxing holiday, as well as a variety of options for both active and educational travel.
