Perhaps you have been preparing something like this for yourself at home for a long time, without even suspecting that you are “indulging” in the favorite drink of the retreat centers... Oh, again a tricky word! Retreat means retreat. The inhabitants of such centers close themselves off from society in a very comfortable home, where they engage in spiritual practices to their hearts’ content, listen to silence or communicate for hours, and, of course, eat extremely healthy.

But it’s one thing when you simply bite a carrot, remembering its vitamin content, and another thing when you have a certain good goal in front of you. Let’s say, detoxification of a body exhausted by smog, smoking neighbors, and “natural” products from the supermarket.   1. Watermelon.

    Cut 400 g of watermelon pulp into cubes, 0.5 lemon into slices, pinch a bunch of mint. Pour all this together into 400 ml cold water, let stand in the cold for about an hour.
  2. With apple cider vinegar.

    1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, the same amount of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon pour 400 ml hot water. Infuse, strain. You can add a few thin apple slices and a little honey.
  3. Green smoothie.

    Blend 1 cucumber (cut off the peel), a bunch of parsley, and a teaspoon of ginger in a blender. Add juice from 2 lemon slices. If it turns out too thick, dilute with chilled boiled water.

Recipes for weight loss

It is believed that detox drinks are not suitable for weight loss, because their task is somewhat different. However, if you use them correctly, you will “shed the toxins” and say “come on, goodbye” with the extra kilos.

  1. The first way: replace all meals with detox water. This is a rather tough, albeit effective diet. Minus: it cannot be delayed for more than 2-3 days. Plus: drinks will remove the feeling of hunger, so you won’t have to suffer.
  2. Second way: replace with these light cocktails a couple of meals (say, just an afternoon snack).

NB! And for this method to be guaranteed to work, you need to drink not just any cocktails, but the right ones. I’ll tell you about them below!

Fat burning cocktails (accelerate metabolism, remove toxins)

  1. Tangerine paradise.
    Puree 300 g of tangerine slices in a blender (remove the seeds). Pour boiling water over the crusts for 30 minutes. Mix the infusion with the pureed pulp. Ready!
  2. Grapefruit cocktail.
    Squeeze the juice from 1 fruit. Carefully cut (grate) the zest and pour boiling water over it. When it is infused, strain, mix with juice, a sprig of mint and 0.5 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  3. Citrus tea.
    Green tea (without jasmine and other “improvers”) pour 0.5 liters of boiling water. When it cools down, squeeze in the juice from a whole lemon, orange or any other citrus (but lemon is still better). Grate the zest (the bright part) and add it here too. The final touch is 1 teaspoon of honey.

Cleansing cocktails that also help

  1. Cucumber + lemon.
    Thinly slice the cucumber and place in a jug. Squeeze the juice of a small lemon, grate the zest, and throw in here. Tear a washed bunch of mint here. Add a cinnamon stick. Pour boiled water cooled to 70 degrees (1 liter). Let sit for about 7 minutes.
  2. Ginger + apple.
    Grate 20 g of fresh ginger, add water (70 degrees). Finely chop 1 apple (the one with the red peel is the healthiest) and add it here. Finely grate the lemon zest and squeeze out the juice. Add 1 or 2 cinnamon sticks, a little honey.
  3. Sassi water
    (named after nutritionist Cynthia Sassi). Peeled cucumber, cut whole lemon into rings. Finely grate 1 ginger, finely pinch 1 sprig of mint (10 leaves). Place everything in a jug and add 2 liters of cold water. Let stand for 30-60 minutes.

Drainage weight loss

The purpose of this detox is to remove excess water from our body. It performs especially well when combined with a gym. True, this method is only suitable for people with swelling.

  1. Strawberry "tea"
    Pour 100 grams of boiling water over 2 teaspoons of dried strawberries. Pour the same amount of boiling water over 2 tablespoons of the leaves of this plant. Let it brew, mix, enhance with lemon juice (1 teaspoon).
  2. Currant compote.
    Pour 4 tablespoons of dry currant leaves into a glass of boiling water. When the drink is infused, strain and pour in 100 g of fresh currant juice (or berries pureed in a blender).
  3. Birch drink
    Pour 3 tablespoons of dry birch leaves and a cinnamon stick with a glass of boiling water, leave, strain. Add here a teaspoon of honey (less is possible), 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
