Frogwares studio has been producing games about Sherlock Holmes for fifteen years now. The first projects of game makers were classic point-and-click quests, but over time (and the experience of the developers) they transformed into action-adventure games, where leisurely episodes with investigations alternate with dynamic chases and battles.
All games from the Sherlock Holmes series are worthy of attention, but Crimes and Punishments is especially interesting: here the storyline covers as many as six crimes based on the works of Conan Doyle, and armchair detectives will have to use attentiveness, logical thinking and even deduction.
2. The Wolf Among Us

The game has well-drawn pixel graphics, a gloomy noir atmosphere and an excellent detective story telling about the connections between the church and the mafia. The quest part of the game does not stand out in any way among the representatives of the genre, except that here the player needs to communicate more, listening and looking closely at the characters and what they say. The puzzles here are not too difficult and are surprisingly logical, and the main emphasis is on the plot, dialogue and characters.
