Congratulations on the fuel and lubricants service day. Fuel Service Day of the Russian Armed Forces - history of the holiday

Today, the Fuel Service of the RF Armed Forces, founded on February 17, 1936 as the Red Army Fuel Supply Directorate, celebrates its 80th anniversary. Even then it became clear that the future war would be a war of engines, and gasoline began to be called “the blood of war.” This service has been providing constant “blood flow” for decades.

It is clear that the history of supplying troops with fuel began much earlier - as soon as Russian army cars and ships with engines running on petroleum products appeared. In 1877, the world's first tanker, Zoroaster, began operation in Russia. The steamship with a carrying capacity of 15 thousand poods (242 tons) was used to deliver kerosene in bulk from Baku to Tsaritsyn (now Volgograd) and Astrakhan. In 1900, the Russian fleet had 20 Novik-class destroyers operating on fuel oil, and by the end of 1917 there were already 30 of them.

The first engines of the First World War

In the Russian Imperial Army, already in 1914, the first armored detachment was formed. In total, on the fronts of the First World War, the troops used up to 10,000 cars and trucks, 700 aircraft and about 300 armored cars. On railways The Zaamurets motorized armored car was operating. Monthly fuel consumption was more than two thousand tons of automobile gasoline and up to 450 tons of aviation gasoline. For the supply of fuel and ammunition, the division of anti-aircraft armored cars "Russo-Balt" type "T" even had special armored vehicles. In total, 1.2 million tons of fuel were supplied to the troops during the war years.

In the mid-30s, a special armored fuel transporter was developed based on light tank T-26. It was intended to supply tank units on the front line, but never went into production.

Khasan and Khalkhin Gol

The service received its baptism of fire in 1938, during the conflict with Japanese troops on Lake Khasan. Then 8.5 thousand tons of fuel were consumed, and at Khalkhin Gol - ten times more: 86.7 thousand tons were supplied for tanks, armored vehicles, trucks and tractors. Despite the multi-hundred-kilometer “shoulder of supply,” the mechanized units of the Red Army were provided with a sufficient amount of gasoline and diesel fuel.

Great Patriotic War. The fight for oil

But the most difficult task arose before the fuel service during the Great Patriotic War. In 1941, significant fuel reserves were lost, oil refineries were evacuated from Odessa, Kherson, and Berdyansk. Active drilling work has begun in Grozny and Baku to increase production volumes. It was not for nothing that in 1942 Hitler directed his main attack on Stalingrad. After all, having captured it, he opened the way not only to the main oil fields of the USSR in the south, but also cut the most important river highway through which oil and petroleum products were delivered to the center of the country. But even when the enemy approached the Volga, barges - under fire - continued to transport much-needed fuel. In total, the army and navy spent more than 16.4 million tons of fuel during the war years.

"Second Baku"

During the war years, to increase oil production, active geological exploration began in the Volga and Urals region, called the “Second Baku.” This is how oil and gas fields appeared in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Ukhta and Naryan-Mar.

Gasoline for besieged Leningrad

Leningrad, besieged by Nazi troops, needed literally everything. Along the bottom Lake Ladoga a 27-kilometer-long pipeline was laid through which fuel was supplied to the city. From June 1942 to March 1943, more than 47 thousand tons of fuel of all types were pumped through it.

“Road of Life” through Salang

To ensure grouping Soviet troops In Afghanistan, main field pipelines with a length of 1200 kilometers were built, through which 5.4 million tons of petroleum products were delivered to the 40th Army. They tried to damage the pipes in every possible way, and civilians tried to get some of the contents to heat their homes. The fuel service constantly eliminated the consequences of accidents and sabotage.

Fuel along with other cargo went through the Salang tunnel. Militants constantly ambushed Soviet convoys, and the profession of a fuel tanker driver was deadly.

Fire, water and not copper pipes

Mobile pipeline construction professionals have repeatedly participated in rescue operations during emergency situations. The fuel service's pipeline divisions supplied water, not gasoline, to put out the fires. Including the hot summer of 2010. Two pipeline battalions pumped more than one million tons of water to extinguish and irrigate burning peatlands. On August 15, 2010, the commander of the pipeline platoon, Lieutenant Nikolai Kuzmin, fell into a fire trap along with his unit, but, showing courage and professionalism, led the soldiers through the fire, for which he was awarded the Order of Courage.

Soldiers of the service also took part in eliminating the consequences of the accident at Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Drinking water went through “military” pipes to the cities of Armenia destroyed by the earthquake in 1989. And in 2014, pipes laid by the military began to fill the North Crimean Canal to provide the cities of Crimea with water, which Ukraine tried to deprive the residents of the rebellious peninsula.

Fuel for the modern army

Every year the Russian Armed Forces consume about two million tons various types fuels and oils. To ensure timely supply, more than 900 tank trucks will be purchased in the coming years. It is also planned to introduce new lightweight fiberglass composite pipes, develop an Arctic tanker, a universal laboratory, containers for transporting liquid rocket fuel components and a tanker for the Airborne Forces.

The Fuel Service of the Russian Armed Forces is one of the young organizations in this arena of the rear of the Russian Armed Forces. The history dates back to the middle of the 20th century, when, according to the rules of the traditionally People's Secretary of the Defense Union, the Fuel Supply Administration was founded. The first serious test of the readiness of this service was the provision of fuel military equipment carrying out training maneuvers. The precise, well-coordinated work of the personnel made it possible to conduct planned attacks and test the strength of weapons. IN peacetime supplying the army with flammable materials is one of the components that makes it possible to protect the peace of the country's population. Congratulations on the Russian Army Fuel Service Day - February 17th.

Without you, planes wouldn't fly,
And the tanks would have stood motionless.
Both the navy and the ground forces
Everyone knows that without your troops there is sadness.
Let me congratulate you on this day.
May the service make you happy every hour.
There will be no rush jobs or delays.
Let there be peace and order.

The day of fuel service has now arrived
I want to congratulate all the personnel.
I would like to wish you a promotion,
Among senior officials find understanding.
More salaries and more bonuses.
Health, good luck and personal happiness.
Let service is underway without worries and troubles
And let every day bring only joy.

There is service in the Armed Forces,
Which controls fuel.
She had the responsibility and honor
She runs all the equipment.
And on this frosty February day
On your holiday, we sincerely congratulate you.
Let the days of service rush into the distance not in vain.
We wish you success and honor.

Today is yours holiday - Day fuel services
I would like to congratulate you on this occasion.
I wish to find a promotion at work.
May your dreams come true.
Calm, peace and days without rush jobs.
So that the sun shines carelessly above you.
Reliable friends and work colleagues.
And don’t get caught up in endless time pressure.

Combat readiness of the armed forces
This is your task.
The path of everyday life will not be stressful,
And let good luck follow everywhere.
Let there be plenty of fuel,
So that the service never bothers you.
And personally everything will be fine too.
Fate protects you from troubles.

You are celebrating Fuel Service Day.
I wish you that your dreams come true.
So that the service only brings pleasant days.
Fate saved me from adversity and misfortune.
A decent salary, honor from the team,
And the prospect would be bright.
On your holiday, please accept my wishes.
I want them to come true without fail.

Your fuel service is so young,
But she managed to develop dynamically.
After all, without fuel, equipment is, in general, in trouble.
Without it, it won't start.
We want to congratulate you on your holiday.
We wish you success and excellent service.
There will be no reason for the blues and sadness.
May your salary always be very decent.

Home front services are undeservedly forgotten. You won’t hear about them in the advertising speeches of military commissars and recruiters. They don’t give grandiose concerts in their honor. But this in no way diminishes the importance of their activities. Not a single branch of the military is capable of conducting active fighting without delivery of ammunition, food, fuel, or repair of equipment.

Military personnel of the Fuel Service (SF) perform support tasks both in peacetime and in conditions of military operations.

The meaning of the Service in terms of conduct modern wars difficult to overestimate. Soldiers and officers celebrate their holiday on February 17.

Historically, the service is still young. On the eve of the coming war, the country's leadership is creating a fuel supply department. Development tank troops and aviation did not go unnoticed. Timely provision of fuel and lubricants becomes a more important task. Five years before the Great Patriotic War, K. Voroshilov signed an order to create the SG VS.

The service was headed during the difficult period of its formation by the Russian military leader Nikolai Nikolaevich Movchin. He led the development of the service structure until official order. The mobilization strategy he created in subsequent decades formed the basis of the country’s mobilization activities. Unfortunately, Colonel Movchin was arrested in the “Tukhachevsky case” and executed in 1938. good name Movchina was restored in the fall of 1956.

The military personnel underwent a serious test literally in the first years of the formation of their service. At Lake Khasan, troops consumed 8,000 tons of fuel in two weeks. During the summer of 1939, the service supplied 87,000 tons of fuel and lubricants to the troops at Khalkhin Gol. The winter conditions of the war with Finland required the supply of 217,000 tons.

A huge contribution has been made to the development of SG in Soviet era General Nikitin. The permanent head of the service for three decades was able to reform its work, bringing the functionality to automation. Units and divisions have become a complex segment of the support structure. By acquiring additional structures, the service quickly met the growing needs of the armed forces.

During the Great Patriotic War, Nikitin headed one of the departments of the Service. It ensured continuous supplies of fuel and lubricants to armies and divisions. The war period showed that GS military personnel are the same Soviet fighters capable of self-sacrifice for the sake of their homeland. Soldiers and officers performed heroic deeds every day, transporting hot items to the front line under enemy fire. Their contribution to the cause of Victory is no less important than the feat of paratroopers, tank crews, and pilots. Hot food delivered on time sometimes decided the outcome of battles, influencing general position front affairs.

Under General Nikitin, the service began scientific work to improve fuel performance. This mainly concerned reactive species fuel. The general was one of the developers of the pipeline transport system. Through his efforts, such a system was applied in Afghanistan. The joint efforts of the SG and the pipeline troops made it possible to create a transport network with a length of 1200 kilometers.

Today, the service is in charge of operational issues of storage and transportation of fuels and lubricants to anywhere in the country or the world. Delivery is carried out by sea, air and land. Military specialists carry out refueling, service warehouses, gas stations and bases for various purposes.

The growth in fuel turnover in the army and navy indicates the constant improvement of our defense potential and the readiness of the armed forces to repel any attack by a potential enemy.

With a feeling of great respect, we congratulate the veterans, soldiers, and officers of the Fuel Service on professional holiday!

There are professions that are little noticeable to a superficial glance, but a lot depends on the proper work of their representatives. Of course, such specialties include the activities of numerous employees of the Fuel Service of the RF Armed Forces. The importance of the combat readiness of the army for our country has always been great, and without the well-organized work of the Fuel Service it is simply impossible to maintain this readiness. It’s even strange that at the official level this structure has not yet established its own professional holiday.

Story

In 1936, it was on February 17, according to order No. 24 signed by the People's Commissar of Defense Soviet Union an order was issued to create new structure– “Fuel Supply Directorate”, later – “Fuel Service of the Armed Forces of the Soviet Union”. Its first head was engineer-colonel Nikolai Movchin. Subsequently, the new department honorably fulfilled the duties assigned to it and ensured the victories of our army in all the numerous armed conflicts in which it has had to participate since then until the present day.

Naturally, with the collapse of the USSR, the name of the structure changed somewhat, but the essence of its activities and the responsible, competent approach to its work remained the same. Until now, unfortunately, the professional holiday of military personnel and department employees is celebrated semi-officially, on a voluntary basis, and precisely on the anniversary of the founding of the Service - that is, February 17. The majority of the military believes that this situation should be corrected.

Traditions

Since the date February 17 does not have official status, its celebration is carried out within the department. Although it reaches a huge number of people. After all, the Fuel Service consists of and constantly works:

  • special centers for providing troops with fuel and technical means;
  • numerous units of pipeline troops;
  • bases and warehouses;
  • repair companies and services;
  • specialized laboratories and transport units, many auxiliary organizations;

It even has its own research institute.

In all these structures, ceremonial meetings are held on February 17, awards, prizes and gifts are presented to the most distinguished specialists. Well, a festive feast awaits you at home, since military personnel are not allowed to drink while serving.

Agree, unpleasant odors in the toilet are not good, it does not make you happy. All sorts of air fresheners help, but not enough.

WITH unpleasant odors we can fight, they can and must be eliminated! By making, for example, such “bombs” for the toilet

To do this you will REQUIRE:

Baking soda - glass

Citric acid - a quarter cup

Vinegar - half a teaspoon

Hydrogen peroxide - tablespoon

Essential oils - 20 drops

Teaspoon

Sheet of parchment

IN Armed Forces ah, there are many services in the Russian Federation called rear services, but only one of them can rightfully be called a service combat support and this service is the Fuel Service.

February 17, 1936, when, by Order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 024, the Fuel Supply Directorate was created - the Fuel Service of the USSR Armed Forces.

The first serious test of the Fuel Service's readiness was the provision of fuel for combat operations at Lake Khasan - in two weeks the troops consumed more than 8 thousand tons of fuel. From May to August 1939, fuel consumption on the Khalkhin Gol River amounted to almost 87 thousand tons. And in the winter war with Finland in 1939-1940, the Red Army troops needed 215 thousand tons of fuel.

During the harsh years of the Great Patriotic War, the personnel of the Fuel Service showed massive heroism and courage.

A separate line in the history of the heroic defense of Leningrad included the construction of a main pipeline along the bottom of Lake Ladoga. From June 1942 to March 1943 alone, over 47 thousand tons of various types of fuel were supplied to the northern capital, which ultimately made it possible to meet the needs of not only the defending troops, but also the city. Thanks to the clear and professional work of the Fuel Service, the “fuel blockade” of Leningrad was broken.

For the exemplary supply of fuel to combat operations and the courage shown, 2,637 officers were awarded orders and medals in the years 1943-1945 alone.

In the post-war years, the years of turbulence economic development, new tasks were assigned to the Fuel Service. With the advent nuclear weapons Fundamentally new means of its delivery—missiles—began to be used. With the army equipped with rocket technology, the Fuel Service was entrusted with the task of providing troops and naval forces with liquid fuel. rocket fuel. Solving this problem required the development of new technologies and deep scientific research.

Military operations in Afghanistan also required considerable ingenuity and heroism from the personnel of the Fuel Service. It was there, on the largest scale, and for a long time, that field main pipelines were used to provide fuel to OKSVA connections and parts. In total, 5.4 million tons of petroleum products were supplied to the troops of the 40th Army through field trunk pipelines with a length of 1,200 km.

Fuel was pumped through the pipeline around the clock. Securing the pipeline was no easy task. Sabotage and accidents happened very often, day and night. The pipeline was undermined by mines, shot through, pierced with picks and hoes, and sawed through pipes with hacksaws. Such sabotage was carried out not only by Mujahideen militants, but also by civilians. In Afghanistan, the population had practically no firewood; this circumstance prompted civilians to break through the field pipeline. This way they could get fuel for heating and cooking. The personnel of the Fuel Service constantly had to eliminate the consequences of accidents and sabotage.

The Fuel Service also had difficult times. The pages of our history remember 1991, when a new period began in the history of the country and all Armed Forces. The fuel service is certainly not left out here. In the new economic conditions, the task of providing troops with the entire range of fuels and lubricants, rocket fuel and technical equipment has become sharply more complicated. Chronic underfunding and the introduction of limits have significantly complicated the provision of combat training and daily activities of the Armed Forces Russian Federation. Solving these problems required increasing the level of economic and legal training of the personnel of the Fuel Service.

We can also recall the hot summer of 2010, when units and personnel of the Fuel Service were involved in extinguishing mass fires. forest fires. Then two pipeline battalions supplied more than 1 million tons of water to extinguish them and water the previously drained peat bogs. On August 15, 2010, the commander of the pipeline platoon, Lieutenant Nikolai Kuzmin, accomplished a real feat. Having fallen into a fiery trap, he showed courage and bravery, with his competent actions he saved his subordinates and expensive equipment, for which he was awarded a high award - the Order of Courage.

Graduates of educational and scientific institutions of the Fuel Service have proven themselves to be good specialists who master complex design and resource-saving technologies. They serve not only in the Armed Forces, but also work as specialists in government and commercial organizations Rosneft, LUKOIL, TNK-BP, GAZPROM, etc., and the geography of employment is very wide: from Kaliningrad to Nakhodka and from Yamal to Novorossiysk!

On February 17, together with officers of the Russian Ministry of Defense, our colleagues in other law enforcement agencies celebrate Fuel Service Day.

On behalf of the Interregional Public Organization for Promoting the Preservation of Domestic Traditions and cultural heritage"VECHE", we congratulate all the personnel of the Fuel Service of the RF Armed Forces on their professional holiday, we wish everyone further career and service growth, high professionalism, success in serving the Motherland, prosperity, health and personal happiness!

Every year on August 1, the Day of Logistics of the Russian Armed Forces is celebrated. This holiday was approved by Order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation No. 225 of May 7, 1998.

The year 1700 is taken as the starting point for the history of the rear of the armed forces. Then, on February 18, Peter I signed the Decree “On the management of all grain reserves of military men to Okolnichy Yazykov, with the name for this part of General Provisions.”

The first independent supply body was established - the Provision Order, which was in charge of the supply of bread, cereals and grain fodder for the army. He carried out centralized food supply, which, as is known, is today one of the types of material support for troops.

On August 1, 1941, the actual self-determination of the rear of the armed forces took place - the rear was defined as an independent branch or branch of the armed forces.

On this day, Supreme Commander-in-Chief J.V. Stalin signed the order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 0257 “On the organization of the Main Logistics Directorate of the Red Army...”, which united the headquarters of the Chief of Logistics, the VOSO department, the highway department and the inspection of the Chief of Logistics of the Red Army. . The position of Chief of Logistics of the Red Army was introduced, to whom, in addition to the Main Logistics Directorate of the Red Army, “in all respects” the Main Quartermaster Directorate, Fuel Supply Directorate, Sanitary and Veterinary Directorates were also subordinated.

The position of chief of logistics was also introduced in fronts and armies. Deputy People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR, Lieutenant General of the Quartermaster Service A.V. Khrulev, was appointed head of the rear of the Red Army, and Major General of the Quartermaster Service P.V. Utkin was appointed chief of his staff. Bringing together the entire set of supply, medical and transport structures under one heading made it possible to establish a complex process of logistics support active army.

Today, the rear of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, being an integral part of the state’s defense potential and the link between the country’s economy and the troops directly consuming the products, is a well-coordinated and efficiently operating mechanism. It consists of the rear headquarters, 9 main and central departments, 3 services, as well as governing bodies, troops and organizations of central subordination, rear structures of branches and branches of troops of the Armed Forces, military districts and fleets, associations, formations and military units.

The high responsibility and professionalism of military personnel and civilian rear personnel, their loyalty to official and military duty were convincingly demonstrated during the organization of logistical support for combat operations in Afghanistan, the liquidation of the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, during the counter-terrorism operation in the North Caucasus, and the implementation of peacekeeping missions by Russian military personnel.

On behalf of the interregional public organization promoting the preservation of domestic traditions and cultural heritage "VECHE" congratulates all military personnel and civilian personnel of the rear of the RF Armed Forces on their professional holiday.
