The 13th international spiritual and educational exhibition “Pokrovsky Kirmash” will be held from October 14 to 20 at the national exhibition center on the street. Ya. Kupala, 27, 2nd floor. Insert-fair dedicated to the holiday of the Intercession Holy Mother of God. The exhibition awaits its visitors from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
The main event of the exhibition will be the bringing image Mother of God"Life-Giving Spring" for prayerful worship. This is the main icon of the temple in Prosha of the Bobruisk diocese, in whose honor it was consecrated. Many people have testified that the Mother of God hears prayers before this image and graciously helps those who ask. There is information that the town of Proshcha has been known for its healing spring since the time of St. Prince Equal to the Apostles Vladimir. For more than 150 years, people have come to Prosha to pray at the temple and at the life-giving spring, being healed of illnesses and strengthening in faith.
The exhibition will bring together about 80 participants from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece (Athos), Palestine (Bethlehem). These are Orthodox monasteries, churches and sisterhoods of the Russian Orthodox Church, Orthodox book publishing houses, folk craftsmen.
Fair visitors will be offered big choice icons and church items for home and church, Belarusian publishing houses will present a wide range of spiritual literature, audio-video products for adults and children. Folk craftsmen will offer souvenirs, ceramics, Gzhel porcelain, Orenburg scarves, shawls and stoles, and much more to please your beloved mothers. Also at the exhibition it will be possible to purchase oils, balms, herbs, sweets and honey and beekeeping products.
Visitors will have a unique opportunity to submit notes about the health and repose of their loved ones to monasteries and churches in different countries.
Traditionally, the exhibition will be accompanied by a spiritual and educational program dedicated to the topic of motherhood.
The main event of the program of events will be the bringing of the image of St. Stylian of Paphlagon, one of the favorite Greek saints of the 5th century. In Greece, the saint is revered in the same way as within the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
Saint Stylian of Paphlagon is depicted on icons with a baby in his arms, since he is the patron saint of children; people turn to him about their birth and health. Through the prayers of the saint, barren women became mothers of many children. The image was painted at the request of believers in Belarus specifically for the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Vsetsaritsa” and delivered from Fr. Corfu (Greece).

Many Minsk residents associated the Feast of the Intercession of the Mother of God with the “Pokrovsky Kirmash”, which was held in our city on the eve of an important event for believers. The Joy Festival is that tradition! The format of the event itself has changed, the main emphasis in which is on the educational program.
Guests of the festival will be treated to a large-scale program for children, a creative space for master classes and an exhibition-fair of products from monasteries and churches from Belarus, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine.
Numerous activities and events of the festival are aimed at showing Minsk residents what joy communication, prayer, and joint creativity can bring to our souls. Concerts, film screenings, meetings with priests will make each of the festival days special.
The citywide creative event “Gift to the City” is designed to unite residents and guests of the capital. Everyone will be able to take part in the creation of a mosaic panel depicting the coat of arms of Minsk - the icon of the Mother of God “Minsk”.
By the way, Belarus is the only country where the celebration of Mother’s Day is timed to coincide with the bright holiday of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On this day, October 14, every mother who visited the “Joy” exhibition will receive a surprise. Another wonderful reason to see each other and share the joy of the holiday!
The venue for the “Joy” festival will be the Palace of Railway Workers (Minsk, Chkalova St., 7). The festival will be open to guests from 11:00 to 20:00.

From October 19 to 24, the Expoforum Exhibition Enterprise, with the support of the Belarusian Exarchate, is holding the exhibition-fair “Pokrovsky Kirmash”, dedicated to the holiday Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For the first time, within the framework of the Orthodox exhibition, a trade fair-competition “Meal” will be held, where competitions-tasting dishes of Lenten and holiday cuisine will be held with the presentation of diplomas. Exhibitions and fairs will be held in the exhibition pavilion on the street. Ya. Kupala, 27 on the 2nd floor.
The exhibition “Pokrovsky Kirmash” continues the tradition of holding Orthodox exhibitions and fairs and is already the third exhibition project of this kind. The purpose of the exhibition is to promote the revival of the traditions of the Orthodox Church, spiritual education and education, restoration of churches, development of church crafts, and also to introduce best samples church utensils and literature. Exhibition participants have the opportunity to find new business partners and sell their products.
Since the first exhibition-fair “ An Orthodox xmas» they are attended by: Orthodox monasteries and parishes; religious educational institutions; publishing houses; icon painting and jewelry workshops; tailoring studios; enterprises producing artistic castings, church utensils and candles; folk craftsmen and artists from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
Visitors are invited to take part in a variety of events: lectures and talks at Orthodox themes, legal consultations, master classes on arts and crafts and bell ringing. The exhibition features video screenings, presentations, round tables, performances by church choirs and bell ringers.
Of particular interest to visitors will be the unique inditya (vestment of the throne), which will be presented at the Pokrovsky Kirmash. This temple shrine is made using the original appliqué technique with the finest tapestry. It will be presented by the author - Master of the Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts in artistic and decorative fabrics Yulia Gridneva. This element of church decoration has already been demonstrated at the first Orthodox exhibition-fair“Orthodox Christmas” attracted a lot of attention from visitors and participants themselves. During this visit, Yu. Gridneva will give a series of lectures dedicated to the features of this technique of church sewing and the possibilities of its application. The author will talk about the purpose and symbolism of church fabrics, the features of iconography in sewing.
A rich selection of Orthodox literature, video and audio products will be presented at the exhibition by the publishing house of the Belarusian Exarchate, the publishing house of the Sretensky Stavropegial monastery from Moscow. Samples of church bells and their sound will be demonstrated by Excellent Casting LLC. Church utensils and products of decorative and applied art will be presented by masters of the Holy Kazan Church from the city of Kalinkovichi. The products of their workshops and the products of their own book publishing house will be presented by the St. Elisabeth Convent. Church utensils and products of the monastery economy will be offered at the fair by the Spaso-Efrosyne Convent. Nuns convent St. Mary Equal to the Apostles Magdalenes known for their strength will be brought from Kuban healing herbs and ointments, monastery teas, as well as monastic publications: the newspapers “Ark” and “Heal by Faith”. The Pokrovsko-Vasilievsky Monastery from Pavlovsky Posad will present its famous scarves consecrated on the relics of St. Basil of Pavlovsky Posad. Church utensils and relics of the monastery will be brought by representatives of the Zhirovichi Holy Dormition Monastery and nuns of the Vvedensky Vladyka Convent (Serpukhov), the place of the appearance of the miraculous icon of the Mother of God “The Inexhaustible Chalice”, which has the grace of healing from the ailments of drunkenness, smoking and drug addiction. At all stands of participating monasteries, visitors will be able to leave notes about their relatives.
For the first time, Vera LLC (Voronezh), a manufacturer of church bells, will take part in the exhibition and will hold a presentation of the company.
