Audio talker online. Online talker with a male voice in Russian

Hello everyone!

Popular wisdom: "From time immemorial, a book raises a person" ...

No matter what anyone says about the modern digital world, that paper will soon die out, etc. - after all, books, in my opinion, will be useful and relevant for a long time. Vice versa, modern technologies help you quickly and easily find the books and information in them that you need. Now, by the way, you can download an entire library onto one tablet and get acquainted with it anywhere, for example, on the way to work, at home, at school, etc.!

But there is one more advantage that modern software gives us - the ability to listen to books as if they were being read to you by a living person! Modern voice engines allow you to listen to text in male, female, and children's voices. About everything, in more detail below...

Important! In order for the programs presented below to be able to read your book text (magazine, newspaper, etc.), a voice engine is required. Those. you need a reading program + engine to work! By the way, the quality of reading directly depends on the engine (to avoid “ba-me”, you need to choose a good voice engine).About engines in detail in the second part of this article.

Choosing a reading program

(note: for reading text)

Govorilka

A very small program designed for reading texts by voice. The program can read text in different languages, depending on which voice engine you connect. Makes it possible to create MP3 files (for example, create audiobooks, which have become so popular lately).

Main window of the "Govorilka" program

Main features:

  1. reading text from various files: DOS and Windows encoding; readable text can be 2 GB in size; opens Word, Html files;
  2. ability to adjust reading speed, voice pitch, volume, etc.;
  3. the ability to record readable text in MP3 format (by the way, you can record at increased speed);
  4. the program automatically turns over the pages (text) of the book as you read (and shows it to you);
  5. it is possible to correct individual words and phrases, as they should be pronounced correctly;
  6. when closing the program, it automatically remembers the last cursor position;
  7. completely in Russian, works in all modern versions of Windows 7, 8, 10.

Demagog

This program is 2 in 1: it is both a text editor with Unicode support and a speech synthesizer (i.e. software for speaking text) with support for SAPI4 / SAPI5 ( note: about engines, see the second part of the article). The program differs from many of its competitors because... during its development, special dictionary replacement algorithms were used, which affect the correct pronunciation readable text. Demagog also features a dictionary-free spell check.

Demagog - reading example // main window

Main features of the program:

  1. reading texts from various formats: MS Word, E-Book and HTML (support for importing pictures);
  2. the ability to record audio files in the following formats: WAV, MP3, OGG, WMA, MP4;
  3. ability to connect custom audio codecs;
  4. highlighting spelling errors;
  5. support for pronunciation dictionaries (DIC format), the ability to edit them;
  6. Russian language support 100%;
  7. works in OS Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 (32/64 bits).

Balabolka

The main purpose of the "Balabolki" program is to read the texts of books, documents, etc. in a "living human" voice. Any voice engines that are installed on your PC can be used for reading.

Main features:

  1. in addition to “regular” reading (as other utilities can), “Balabolka” can read text from the clipboard, show text from various documents, pronounce text typed on the keyboard;
  2. supports simply huge number file formats: AZW, AZW3, CHM, DjVu, DOC, DOCX, EPUB, FB2, HTML, LIT, MOBI, ODT, PDB, PDF, PRC, RTF, TCR, WPD;
  3. can check spelling, divide large documents into several small ones, look for homographs;
  4. the text can be saved as an audio file in the following formats: WAV, MP3, MP4, OGG and WMA;
  5. can work with packages from the Microsoft Speech API (SAPI);
  6. you can change the speed and timbre of speech;
  7. full support for the Russian language;
  8. OS: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10.

ICE Book Reader

ICE Book Reader is one of the most powerful programs for reading texts (both aloud and simply from the PC screen). One of the main advantages: the program protects your eyesight, allowing you to customize the display of text from a book so that it is most convenient for you (font size, indents, color, etc. - dozens of various parameters).

Example of reading a book

As for reading books out loud for the user, ICE Book Reader, of course, can do this (otherwise I would not have included it in the review). Supports SAPI4 and SAPI5 voice engines.

In addition to reading, it can create MP3/WAV files from a book (which can then be listened to on any MP3 player). When creating MP3 books, by the way, you do not need to store large WAV files - the program converts them to MP3 on the fly. By the way, thanks to the multi-threaded core, the program can very quickly create an audiobook: several speech synthesis modules (SAPI) can simultaneously “speak” an entire book.

And lastly, ICE Book Reader allows you to put things in order on your hard drive with books: a way to manage the information of 250,000 books! The program works in all popular versions of Windows: XP, 7, 8, 10.

Talker

Developer's website: http://govorunplus.narod.ru/

A simple and reliable program built on MS Agent 2.0 technology. For speech synthesis it can use any SAPI engines that are in your system. The design of the program does not shine, but it is executed in a rather original way (screenshot below). And the program is quite multifunctional (so this is the case when it is premature to draw conclusions at first glance!).

Program features:

  1. reads and saves file formats: TXT, RTF (can be prepared in any version of Word);
  2. ability to work with the command line;
  3. the ability to integrate into Explorer to read text by right-clicking on a file (only supported by Win 98/ME, NT, 2000, XP);
  4. there is a built-in media player;
  5. The program contains built-in anecdotes, aphorisms, humor, etc. - you will never get bored;
  6. the reproduced speech can be recorded in a WAV file;
  7. the program can be customized to your liking: color, design, fonts, etc.;
  8. in Russian, works in Windows XP, 7, 8, 10.

RussAcc

A very fast and convenient program for reading texts aloud and creating audio books (there are many formats, especially compared to similar software: wav, mp3, amr, aac). In addition, the program allows you to correctly place emphasis in texts and read books from the PC screen. The program has a built-in editor and any text reproduced by it can be edited.

Main program window // RussAcc

In the program settings, you can set the font size and specify the color with which to highlight the readable part. You can specify and configure MP3 recording parameters: bitrate, number of bits, etc.

RussAcc supports and works with all popular sound engines. In its database, the program for each word has its special forms with accents in different situations(over 3 million forms!).

By the way, RussAcc supports such a popular format e-books, like fb2 (and can also convert it to a regular txt file). Supports Russian language, compatible with new OS Windows 7, 8.1, 10.

Voice engines: male and female

Speech synthesis engines - this is special software, a kind of driver, necessary for the computer to “speak” (i.e., to convert text into speech). There are hundreds of engines on the Internet now: there are both paid and free ones. Best quality readings, of course, show paid engines.

Important Note: The speech synthesis engine does not have any design or interface. After installing it on the system, you will not notice any changes! To work with the engine, you need some kind of program for reading texts: Balabolka, Govorun, Ice Reader, etc., just above I cited those that “I like”).

This is why, by the way, users often criticize this or that program because it cannot read Russian text (or cannot read it at all). They just forget about the need to install a speech engine.

A few words about standards...

Voice engines can be made in different standards (so-called), the most basic three: SAPI 4, SAPI 5 or Microsoft Speech Platform (note: in almost every reader, you can select a speech engine).

SAPI 4

A good standard that was relevant ten years ago. Today it is outdated, and its use on modern computers/laptops is not justified.

SAPI 5

Microsoft Speech Platform

Microsoft Speech Platform is a large set of tools for developers that enable the implementation of text-to-speech capabilities.

This is a set of tools that allow developers of various applications to implement the ability to convert text into voice.

Note! For the speech synthesizer to work, you must:

Microsoft Speech Platform - Runtime – the server part of the platform, which provides an API for programs;
Microsoft Speech Platform - Runtime Languages – languages for running the server side.

Text-to-speech engines Digalo // Nikolay

Website: http://www.digalo.com/index.htm

A very popular Russian voice engine (male voice!). Suitable for most programs that can read text by voice. In my humble opinion, one of the best publicly available speech synthesis engines (in Russian). In addition to Russian, by the way, engines for several other languages are available on the developer’s website. Minus: without registration it only works for two weeks.

Website: http://www.acapela-group.com/

Alyonka is a relatively new Russian female speech engine from Acapela. Operates according to the SAPI-5 standard with a frequency of 22 KHz. Some users believe that “Alena” has a nicer voice than “Nikolai”.

Developer: ScanSoft RealSpeak

Quite a good speech engine with a female voice. After the engine was refined, it became comparable to Nikolai. The phonetic base of the engine has undergone a significant update, the accent placement algorithm has been changed (which has a positive effect on the sound), and the problem with pronunciation speed has been eliminated.

Website: http://tiflo.info/rhvoice/

RHVoice is an open source multilingual speech synthesizer. Can be used on Windows and Linux OS. The synthesizer is compatible with SAPI5. The developer of the synthesizer is Olga Yakovleva.

By the way, the engine is based on a speech database recorded by speakers. Russian voices "Elena" and "Irina" are available for download on the official website.

IVONA Tatyana/Maxim

Website: https://www.ivona.com/us/about-us/voice-portfolio/

Very interesting young voice engines (there are 2 of them: male and female voices). Many consider Tatyana's voice to be one of the best (if not the best!). Using the link above, you can hear how your texts will sound, your portfolio, so to speak (in my opinion, they sound very nice).

Whether the engine will become the most used - I don’t know, time will tell!

By the way, do you think a speech engine will ever be developed that is indistinguishable from a voice? ordinary person? Or maybe it already exists, but I haven’t heard of it... (drop off the name!)

That's all for now, good luck!

Sometimes you need to voice a text that is written on a computer. But how to do this? It is necessary to use special software, which is called a speech synthesizer. With this utility you can turn written text into spoken language. There are a lot of desktop speech synthesizers on the World Wide Web. However, it is better to use online services. After all, in this case you won’t have to download software to your PC, thus clogging up the memory. In this article we will look at the best online talkers.

Speech synthesizers have quite wide range applications. First of all, such programs will be useful to people with disabilities. For example, speech synthesizers were originally intended for people who have vision problems and cannot read text from a monitor.

Talkers can become a good helper in the learning process. For example, they can be used to listen to foreign speech and thus train perception. A speech synthesizer is also used to listen to books while doing household chores.

The best online talkers

Today, web talkers are in no way inferior to desktop programs in terms of playback quality. Internet utilities are capable of reading at different speeds, timbres, etc. Let's consider the most popular text-to-speech converters.

But first, it’s worth noting that most online speech synthesizers limit the possibility of free playback. Web utilities allow you to listen to a couple of hundred characters so that the user can evaluate the quality of the service. For full functionality you will have to pay a certain amount.

Acapela

Acapela is one of the most popular speech synthesizers. The web utility supports more than 30 languages. One of the main advantages of this online resource is the huge number of votes. For the same English, about 20 timbres are available (woman, man, child, teenager, joyful, etc.). Unfortunately, Russian language deprived. Only one female voice is available to reproduce text in Russian.

The web program has a minimum number of settings. Thanks to this, anyone can understand the controls. To reproduce the text you just need to:

  1. Click on the first field. A list will appear in which you need to select a playback language.
  2. Click on the next field. In the list you need to select one of the proposed tones.
  3. In the large field, enter the text that you want to turn into an audio track.
  4. Then you need to agree to the terms of service. To do this, check the box next to the appropriate item. A Listen button will appear, by clicking on which you can listen to the previously entered text.

The sound of the web program is quite decent. The maximum number of characters that can be spoken is 300.

Linguatec

It is also worth paying attention to a service called Linguatec. This is a German Internet resource that is extremely popular outside its homeland. And this is not at all surprising. The web service supports more than 40 languages (of course, Russian is one of them). Interestingly, Linguatec is capable of reproducing different dialects. For example, there are several versions of English: British, American, Australian, Irish, etc. Thanks to this feature, Linguatec is an excellent program for those who want to know the correct pronunciation of a particular word in English. foreign language.

The text can be played in both male and female voices. The free play limit is 250 characters. To get full functionality, you will have to purchase a desktop speech synthesizer. Its cost is 30 euros.

How to use an online speech synthesizer? The following instructions must be followed:

  1. Click on the drop-down list under Voice Reader and select the playback language.
  2. In the drop-down list, which is located a little lower, define the voice. For example, for German language there are only a few pronunciation options: male voices - Yannick and Markus, female voices - Petra and Anna.
  3. Now enter the text you want to play in the appropriate field. Remember that its size should not exceed 250 characters (including spaces).
  4. To convert symbols to audio, you need to click on the arrow button.

Oddcast

Oddcast is a fairly well-known company that creates interactive companions for various brands. The company also has its own speech synthesizer, which can be used to reproduce text. The web utility supports about 30 languages. Most have several variations of female and male voices. The program can reproduce text up to 170 characters.

A distinctive feature of this service is its animated model. She follows the cursor and moves her lips as the text plays. The model does not contain any useful functionality. Its purpose is to demonstrate the capabilities of Oddcast.

Working with Oddcast is very simple. It is necessary to configure the basic characteristics of the web utility. In total, the program provides 5 parameters:

  • Enter Text. Here we write the text that needs to be converted into speech.
  • Language. Here you need to select the language in which the text will be reproduced.
  • Voice. Select a voice for reading (their number depends on the selected language).
  • Effect. Oddcast allows you to add voice effects to spoken text. The choice is quite large. There is a function for acceleration, echo, pitch, etc.
  • Level. Allows you to customize the selected effect. For example, if you use acceleration, then using of this field you can set how fast the text will play.

By changing the characteristics to suit your needs, you can launch the talker. To do this, click on the Say it button.

iSpeech

Another service that is worth paying attention to is iSpeech. The web utility has a good voice engine, which has a positive effect on audio quality. The service supports about 30 languages. The maximum number of characters that can be spoken is 150.

The service interface is designed in a minimalist style. Everything is done very clearly. To select a language, click on the corresponding flag. If you need to determine the timbre, click on the female or male icon. In addition, the program has three playback modes. You can listen to the text at a slow, normal or accelerated pace. Having set the necessary parameters, you need to click on the Play button. The text to speech conversion will begin.

iSpeech is ideal for learning foreign languages. During playback, the utility highlights the words that were spoken out loud. Thanks to this, you can find out the correct sound of a particular word without being distracted from the topic of the text. Another feature of the service is that the voiced fragment can be downloaded to your PC as an audio track. However, this service is only available to owners of paid accounts, the cost of which is quite high. The cheapest subscription costs $500.

Text-To-Speech

Text-To-Speech is a speech synthesizer that boasts a good voice engine. The Internet utility has a very simple, uncomplicated interface. The program supports about 10 of the most popular languages. Of course, this includes Russian. To work with this web resource it is enough:

  1. Select options for reading text. There are only two of them. To select a language, click on the drop-down list next to Language. Nearby you can see the Speed parameter. It is responsible for reading speed and is installed in a similar way.
  2. Now you need to enter the text in the appropriate field. The web utility is capable of processing fragments whose size does not exceed 1000 characters.
  3. Next, you need to click on the Say it button. The program will produce an audio file with your text. You can listen to it directly on the website.

Google Translate

A web service called Google Translate includes a talker. It's very easy to use. You must enter the text in the appropriate field and click on the speaker icon. Voila - the robot read the specified fragment. Google Translate has a limit on the size of the text. You cannot enter more than 5000 characters.

Main advantage Google programs The translator is that it supports a huge number of languages. However, there was a fly in the ointment. Firstly, you cannot change the voice timbre, reading speed and other parameters. Secondly, the quality of playback leaves much to be desired.

From-Text-To-Speech

A large amount of text can be processed by a web service called From-Text-To-Speech. The utility is capable of converting up to 50 thousand characters at a time. This is an order of magnitude higher than that of competitors. The web program supports 10 languages, which are the most popular. These include Russian.

To use the web service, you first need to configure the voiceover settings. Luckily there aren't many of them here. First of all, you need to set the language and determine the voice that will read the text. For Russians, only one timbre is available - female. Then you need to adjust the reading speed. There are four options in total: slow, normal, fast and very fast. Having set the appropriate parameters, you need to click on the Create Audio File button.

The conversion process will begin. As a rule, this takes no more than a minute. Once the conversion is complete, you will be taken to a new page. There will be a hyperlink in the form of Download audio file. You need to right-click on it and select the “Save link as” option from the drop-down list. Choose a location on your PC and download audio. The file is saved in MP3 format.

2 ears

It is impossible not to mention domestic services for converting text into audio. One of the best at this is a website called 2ukha. The main advantage of the service is the ability to work with large volumes of text. If other resources voice small fragments of up to 200-300 characters, then 2ukha is capable of processing 100 KB of text. This is about 100 thousand characters. And, most importantly, everything is completely free.

How to work with the 2ukha website? It's very simple. To convert text into spoken language you just need to:

This service definitely deserves attention. The quality of the voiced text is at a quite decent level. And the ability to process huge files is also good news. However, the 2uk web service also has disadvantages. For example, the quantity available languages. The service only works with Russian.

Voiceover of text using 5 proven services, choose the best one for yourself. We read books, newspapers, posts on social networks, at work, on the road and on vacation. It is impossible to do without reading. There are just moments when it’s not very convenient to read. In addition to the visual display of texts, there may be a need to voice the text. After all, a situation may arise when you need audio text for a video clip or for a website.

Voice over text online or through a program?

This is where online voice engines and computer programs come to our aid. As it turned out, finding voice over text online is quite difficult. Of course, there are enough services, but they are not professional enough. In this article I will tell you what online voiceover is and how to use it.

Voice-over of text online in Russian and more - functionality of services

Voice acting online text Minsk voice is standard on almost all services; you upload your text and receive monotonous audio playback. Unfortunately, no services at all allow you to upload large texts; in most cases there is a limit of 200 - 300 characters. For short video this is just right, for example for the Dudley video.

If you still need professional voiceover of the text, you will have to pay from 300 rubles. In this article we will look at a couple of services that, in my opinion, are more suitable for work.

A template with such sites looks like this; You go to the site, choose desired language, which voice to use - male or female, enter the text in the window and press play. The service reads your text, and you decide whether to work with it further or not.

Online voiceover services

Acapela service

This service is aimed at reproducing text by voice online. This engine has a fairly high-quality sound level and has male and female voices. (Russian is provided only female Alena). The processing volume of free text is 300 characters and you will have to pay extra for more.

In order to use the service, go to it
in the window on the left, switch the language (Select a language) to Russian (Russian), then enter your text “type your text here”, check the box to the left of “I agree with terms and condition”. To start playing, click on the “Listen” button below. Find out how to create a professional hand-drawn video on this site!

Voiceover of English text online

Google Translator service

Voice-over of online text in Russian is also done using translators from the famous search engine Google. Its advantage is that you can enter several hundred characters without restrictions and plus it is free. The downside is that you cannot download the voiced text. And of course, the quality may be inferior to paid resources.

To work with this translator and voice over text online, go to voice over text

Enter your text and then click on the speaker in the lower left corner.

Google Translate is useful in many ways. Here you can transcribe the text to your video if you are a little smarter. You can also press the microphone to write articles by simple dictation and do not need to type. The only thing you need later is text.

Linguatec Service

This is another online talker that differs from its colleagues in that it has input restrictions! Only 250 characters (you'll have to pay extra for more). And the quality is average. Voice text online, to play the text go to the service .

in the language setting, instead of Deutsch, select Russian.

Select a female (Milena) or male (Yuri) voice, then enter your text and press the Play button.

Text-to-Speech service

You can reproduce up to 1000 characters in it, the quality is much higher here compared to Linguatec. To use the service, just go HERE for a pleasant experience. Everything on this service is clear intuitively; when I got to this service, everything was clear as is. In any case, select Russian from the drop-down menu, enter the text and then click on “Say it”

IVONA service

And the last service

which, in my opinion, has the highest quality engine of the above listed ones: IVONA. Again, the disadvantage of this service is that it is paid. The developers have even removed the ability to online play text in voice over a couple of lines, which was only recently available in IVONA.

While browsing through services for online voicing of text in Russian, I came across programs that read text just as well. Of all that I managed to find, in the meantime I searched and downloaded whatever they slipped in instead of programs. Up to the American antivirus. So…

Of all the downloaded products, I would note such products as Govorilka and Sacrament Talker.

Govorilka program

A small program that can read your text and at the same time allows you to download it in two formats: wav and mp3. The size of the read file is limited to 2 gigabytes, there is a voice speed control, there is a volume control, highlighting of the read text and much more useful for reproducing the text online. You can download it directly from the SITE.

Sacrament Talker Program

Voiceover of text is also possible using the Sacrament Talker program. The program has its own Sakrament TTS Engine 3.0 and six (!) built-in Russian voices, works great with large files. But it was difficult to find this program, but I succeeded. For you, I posted it on my Yandex disk. If you don’t know how to create a Yandex disk, I talked about it in this article. It also tells you how to increase space on the cloud..

The specifics of working with the program are similar to the previous analogue. You can download the program from my cloud storage

Balabolka- program

is intended for reading text files out loud. To play a speech synthesizer, any speech synthesizers can be used (for example, balabolka Russian voice). You can control speech playback using standard buttons.

Balabolka can read the contents of the clipboard and can show the text contained in documents. You can also change the colors and font. Manage the reading process from the system tray or using global keyboard shortcuts. Balabolka can also repeat text typed on the keyboard, check your spelling, divide a text file into smaller sizes, and search for homographs.

Balabolka can remove hyphenation marks

at the ends of lines this will avoid hesitation when reading words, supports formats AZW, AZW3, CHM, DjVu, DOC, DOCX, EML, EPUB, FB2, HTML, LIT, MOBI, ODS, ODT, PDB, PDF, PRC, RTF, TCR , WPD, XLS, XLSX.

The text can be saved as an audio file (supports WAV, MP3, MP4, OGG and WMA formats). The program can work with different versions package of speech functions Microsoft Speech API (SAPI). It allows you to change the speed and timbre of speech.

The balabolka program is an indispensable assistant on your computer. You can download balabolka from
–official website–
.

This article will be updated with new programs as they become available. If you know a decent program or service or voice speaking programs, please share them in the comments at the very bottom of this article.

Also, can someone tell me? good service for video transcription? I promise to place all the tools that you recommend in the comments in this article.

Another service that allows you to record your voice online. On this service you can try to voice your text yourself. Perhaps you can do this better than any announcer, which in turn will save your budget.

This service has extensive capabilities. This includes cutting, converting, video recording, Pdf tools, etc. – Audio recording –

Technology is moving forward. A couple of centuries ago, books were a scarce commodity. With the development of printing production, books reached the masses. Psychologists have determined that people perceive the same information differently. And while it’s easy for visual learners to find a printed publication, it’s more difficult for auditory learners. To enable people with an auditory type of perception to absorb information in a form convenient for them, audiobooks were invented. Nowadays, finding audio variations of a popular literary work is not a problem. But what to do when you need to voice a personally recorded text? We should not forget about people with limited abilities (visually disabled). Programs specializing in voice acting have been invented specifically for such purposes. Below we will look at the main types of such programs.

Operating principle

Voice acting programs have similar operating algorithms. The user is required enter document in a special window or select part of the document for reproduction. One utility is not enough. Any program specializing in voice acting uses a voice engine. It functions as a speech synthesizer. There are a huge number of voice engines on the Internet. Some of them are installed on the computer along with operating system.

The software allows you to choose your voice and reading speed, which is a definite advantage for people with a visual type of information perception. Among the shortcomings highlight the imperfections of machine translation: incorrect accents and the unreadability of some words, especially slang ones.

Online voice-over services

Acapela

Acapela is a foreign service that can voice text in 35 languages and dialects. It is noteworthy that the portal voices foreign words with a characteristic accent (for example, Russian words are read by an Englishman). The site contains a demo version of the product with a limited size of up to 300 characters. Another disadvantage is the requirement to agree to the terms of the site every time. For Russian localization, one option for voicing the text is offered - the Alyona voice engine.

Linguatec

The Linguatec service offers a demo version of the product. There are also up to 40 options for voiceover text. Compared to the previous site on Linguatec two voices represented: female “Milena” and male “Yuri”. The character limit in the demo version is 250 characters.

Text-to-Speech

Text-to-Speech is another portal that can read text online. It has more advanced settings: speaker speech speed, font size, machine translation. For people with disabilities On-screen keyboard provided. Unfortunately, for the Russian-speaking user only one female voice.

Google Translator

Google Translator is a proprietary translator from Google Corporation. One of the functions of the service is to voice a translated or original sentence. If you have a microphone, you can type words by voice. If you want to save the translation result and its audio to “favorites,” then log in to Gmail. Google service Translator translates and voices texts within 5000 characters. The only downside is the voice engine, which sounds more like a robot's speech.

IVONA

The IVONA website is a presentation page demonstrating voice engines. This service is a Polish development and offers four voice options. All languages have 2-3 voices. In the Russian segment there are two voice engines “Maxim” and “Tatyana”. Unfortunately, there is no opportunity to try the service for free. The only thing a user can do without purchasing a subscription is to listen to a template greeting from voice engines.

Yandex translator

Yandex translator is a domestic analogue of Google translator. It has similar tools at its disposal: translation, voiceover and voice generator, on-screen keyboard and saving to favorites. The only thing that distinguishes Yandex translator from foreign analoguemaximum quantity characters reaching 10,000 characters.

Oddcast

The Oddcast portal is the most interesting online speech synthesizer for dubbing from an interface point of view. Here, in addition to the dry sound there are animated speakers. In addition, virtual speakers follow the mouse pointer. Additionally, speech effects are regulated on the site. There is an option to partially change the sound. The Russian language in Oddcast is represented by three engines: “Dmitry”, “Milina” and “Olga”. The disadvantages include a limit on the maximum number of characters of 300 characters and not the most convenient interface for input.

ISpeech

The ISpeech website has a minimalist interface that even a novice user can understand. All you need to do is enter a couple of sentences and select a language. Additionally, the speed of reading text by voice and the choice of voice engine are adjusted. If desired, the voiced result can be saved on a PC. The maximum number of characters is 150.

2 ears

2ukha is an interesting domestic site, where, in addition to a narrowly focused forum, there is a section on converting a document into an audio file, which is recorded in mp3 or awb format. In the settings, before processing the request, additional parameters are configured: reading speed, voice pitch, volume, type of voice engine and reading punctuation marks. The conversion result is sent to email in a few minutes. We recommend go through authorization through social media, so as not to have to enter the code before sending the request (check for a robot). The disadvantage of the portal is the inability to instantly read out the text online.

Programs for reproducing text by voice

Talker

Notes.

Govorilka is a trial program.
Its development began in 1999 as the embodiment of ideas for using speech synthesis on a computer. It was intended only for personal home use and programming experiments (it didn’t even come up with a name - that’s how it became “Talker”). When it turned out that in terms of functionality and convenience Govorilka was ahead (at that time) of all existing programs for converting text into speech, a page was made for it on the Internet.
Please take the above into account and be lenient to the program's shortcomings.
