Instructions for using the Ariston water heater. General information on Ariston water heaters

The comfort of a modern apartment is impossible without warm water. But utility services are in no hurry to make our lives easier and more enjoyable. Therefore, you need to take care of the comfort in your home yourself. Equipment stores offer us a huge selection of water heaters. Which one should I stop at?

If your home is not suitable for installation geysers, then opt for Ariston 80 liter boilers. This is a famous Italian trademark, which has become a leader in the development and manufacture of household appliances. To dispel your doubts, accessible language Let's explain the boring instructions.

Features of the water heater

A characteristic feature of water heaters is presence of a built-in tank. Water accumulates in it, maintaining the temperature set by the program. This model will be relevant for those who from time to time have problems with hot and cold water supply. The eighty-liter tank of the model, as the instructions indicate, is ideal for a family of three. Wash the dishes, take a shower, bathe the child.

The structure of the boiler resembles a thermos: in it the liquid not only heats up, but also retains heat. Thermal insulation material occupies the empty space between the water heater body and the tank. Schematic illustration The instructions clearly show us this. Thanks to it, you save energy: you don’t have to constantly maintain the temperature.

The internal tank of the Ariston water heater 80 liters is made of high-quality steel, which has increased resistance to corrosion processes. The fact is that under the influence of aggressive environments (constant high temperatures, humidity, changes in water level), it is primarily the metal components that suffer. Therefore, the Ariston engineering bureau developed a special alloy, which received maximum resistance to corrosion by rust.

The heating element of the water heater (TEN) has reliable insulation. A special feature of the model is heating element material – alloy, which may contain:

  • copper;
  • stainless steel.

Thermal output is increased by a brass flange.

One of the main parts of the Ariston 80 liter boiler is the magnesium anode. It is made of a special alloy and is mounted next to the heating element. Its function is to protect the walls of the water heater tank from rust and reduce the amount of scale. If you do not start fighting corrosion in time, then over time it will begin to corrode the metal walls of the container and, as a result, will begin to leak water. Layers of scale on the heating element will increase the heating time, which will lead to wasteful consumption of electricity, and even breakdown of the element. By entering into a chemical reaction with an aggressive environment, the anode protects internal parts from negative influence. Of course, you won’t read this in the instructions for the device, but to get general information healthy.

Intelligent control system, which even a schoolchild can understand. The ergonomic design allows you to place 80 liter Ariston water heater models in a horizontal position. In addition, the equipment is reliably protected from overheating and high pressure.

Water heater installation

So you bought a boiler and carefully study the instructions. Remember, in order for the water heater to work reliably, all installation operations should be entrusted to the service center employees. In case of an error during self-installation, the warranty does not apply to the equipment.

Water heater: control system

Before turning on the water heater, you must make sure that there is water in the tank.

When the boiler is connected to the network, temperature readings will be displayed on the water heater control panel screen within one to two seconds. The instructions indicate that if the numbers flash, this means only one thing - the device is still turned off. Click on the “On/Off” button (in the upper left corner) for the equipment to start working.

There is a power control button on the remote control. It can be used to adjust the strength voltage from 2500 W to 1500. This function allows you to increase or decrease the water heating time.

The temperature setting is activated by holding the button (plus or minus) for a few seconds. The range ranges from 30C to 75C. After installation, the water heater remembers the program, operating in the specified mode. The instructions say: if the device is turned off, all settings are reset.

If you have not read the instructions to the end, then you do not know about a very convenient function of the water heater - protection against bacteria. Hot water is an ideal environment for the proliferation of all kinds of microorganisms. And high temperatures kill them. By turning on this option, you force the equipment to increase the temperature above 65, that is, to a level where microbes cannot exist or multiply. Once a month is enough for your water heater tank to be free of all evil spirits.

Possible breakdowns

Water heaters "Ariston" 80 liters belong to technology With increased degree reliability. However, sad to say, damage does happen.

According to the repair service employees, the most “popular” breakdown is the failure of the electronic display. There is no need to panic, nervously leafing through the instructions; this does not affect the overall operation of the water heater. Experts also recommend using not the maximum temperature, but within 60C.

Heating elements for Ariston 80 liter boilers need to be changed from time to time. No matter how powerful the anti-scale protection is, the quality of our water still does not improve. Therefore, after two to three years, your heating element will turn into a small pebble. If you do not open the water heater, you can determine the presence of this unpleasant feature by increasing the heating time.

The water heater instructions indicate the marking frequently reported errors:

  • E2 – attempt to turn on the boiler with an empty tank;
  • E3 – the temperature sensor has become depressurized and a short circuit has occurred;
  • E4 – in case of heating water to 90C.

If you see any of the above on the control panel of your water heater, you need to contact service center.

So, we looked at the main characteristics of one of the popular models represented by Ariston 80 liter water heaters. When used correctly and in compliance with all instructions, this reliable device will serve you for many years . And a wide network of official service centers will reduce discomfort to zero in the event of a breakdown.

Convenient connection of water heating equipment from the Ariston company involves the use of a special autoclave flange mechanism from manufacturers. The basic principle of operation of such a mechanism is based on pressing the gasket under the influence of water pressure. As a result, it is possible to completely eliminate not only the seepage of liquid, but also the formation of watery smudges. To avoid unnecessary heat losses, electric water heater models from Ariston are secured in close proximity to the outlet point.

Water supply

Next comes the connection to the water supply. A diagram is thought out, first drawn on a sheet of paper, and then transferred to the walls with real dimensions. Holes are drilled along the lines where the pipes will pass and clips are installed.

We close the valve at the water inlet and install a tee on the branch closest to the boiler. A pipe runs from it to the water heater. A valve is installed on it to make it convenient to repair the device, a strainer and a check valve.

We lead a flexible hose to the boiler and connect it to the pipe. Typically the input is indicated in blue. We draw a branch to the watershed point in the same way. It is not recommended to connect without flexible hoses. On the one hand, it looks better and more reliable, but if there are sudden changes in pressure, the tank takes the brunt.

The inlet to the boiler is marked in blue

After connecting all components, the valves are opened and all connections are checked for leaks. If they are detected, reconnections are made or additional more tow on the threads.

Description of anode rods

The magnesium rod eliminates corrosion from the internal walls of the tank, and also softens the scale that forms on the heating element during operation of the water heater. It is a rod made of magnesium alloy on a metal stud with a thread and is screwed to the flange of the heating element, together with which it is inserted inside the water heater tank. The hole thread diameter ranges from M4 to M8 depending on the size and weight of the magnesium alloy on the stud. The larger the size and weight, the thicker the magnesium anode pin. The diameter of the magnesium anode varies from 14 to 25 mm. The length of the magnesium part without the pin varies from 140 to 660 mm.

Operating principle

The water entering the water heater contains soluble calcium and magnesium bicarbonates, which are present in it in the form of Mg2+, Ca2+, HCO3- ions. Magnesium is the first to react with water, since it is more active than iron and binds free oxygen formed during heating due to a multiple increase in the number of Mg2+ cations. When an anode is installed in the tank, it is not hard scale (CaCO3) that is formed, but soft scale (MgCO3 or Mg(OH)3), which is easier to remove when cleaning the water heater, or which itself falls to the bottom of the tank during operation of the water heater due to thermal expansion or contraction of the heating metal element. Over time, the anode will dissolve, so it is advisable to check or replace the magnesium anode once a year or follow the water heater manufacturer's instructions.

Is it necessary to install a magnesium anode in a water heater?

Modern boilers have tanks made of stainless steel, with titanium, porcelain glass, and enamel coating. In this case, the tank undergoes corrosion in the welds and begins to leak over time, so it is necessary to regularly replace the magnesium anode. If it was not present in the water heater initially, then it must be installed in the event that scale forms on the heater. In this case, the manufacturer most likely performed welding using a special technology or even made the tank solid, without welds. Without an anode, hard scale forms, which has lower thermal conductivity. At the same time, the heating time and the amount of energy consumed increase, the efficiency decreases, and the metal of the heating element constantly overheats. Ultimately this leads to its rupture and failure. Therefore, timely and regular replacement of the anode will allow your water heater to operate for many years.

What to look for when choosing a magnesium anode?

The main selection criterion is the diameter of the thread on the stud so that the anode can be mounted on the flange of the heating element or nearby, if such fastening is provided. The second criterion is the length, since meter ones, for example, simply may not fit. The next criterion is thickness. Anodes with a large diameter may interfere with the heater tubes, although in this case the plate with the mounting hole can be bent. The next criterion is the length of the hairpin. This choice is rare, as certain electric heaters require a long pin to avoid hitting the heating tubes.

  • diameter of the thread on the stud;
  • length;
  • thickness or diameter;
  • threaded stud length.

Repair

If we divide the actions for repairing units into several stages, they will be as follows:

  • It is necessary to diagnose the type of failure.
  • Determine the fault
  • Replace the failed unit or part.

Features of Ariston water heaters

We are considering repairing an Ariston electric boiler. Models from 50 to 100 liters. One of the advantages of the models from this company is the use of a classic autoclave flange. This solution does not allow water to leak through the gasket. The gasket is pressed by the water pressure in the water heater. The larger it is, the greater the tightness of the fit. But Chinese manufacturers have learned to counterfeit this gasket, so when purchasing a replacement, you need to look for a “original” one, avoiding counterfeits.

Boiler "Ariston"

The next feature is that the heating element is equipped with an elongated blade contact, therefore heating elements from other manufacturers are not suitable.

The water heater is equipped with a magnesium anode.

Examination

Before you start repairing Ariston water heaters, you need to check whether there is electricity in the house and whether the water has been turned off. This factor often misleads inexperienced users.

The next step is to check the correct connection to the power supply and cold water. If these positions are maintained correctly, then problems should be looked for in the following:

  • The circuit breaker is turned off.
  • The automatic safety device has tripped.
  • The heating element has burnt out.
  • The electronics are broken.

Replacing the heating element

If you find out that the heating element has burned out, then it requires replacement. Try to repair the Ariston water heater yourself.

DIY repair

To do this you need:

  • Disconnect the boiler from the power supply and water supply.
  • Unscrew the two screws and remove the protective box.
  • Turn off the power that is directly connected to the heater.
  • After unscrewing two more screws, remove the water heater cover.
  • Remove the temperature sensor and thermostat.
  • Remove from the water supply pipe check valve and drain the water from the boiler.
  • Unscrew the fastening nut with an adjustable wrench and remove the fastening on the strip to which the flange is attached.
  • Push the heating element inward, unfold and pull out. Do this carefully so as not to damage the flange. Do not forget to place a container under the flange, as water will still flow.
  • Replace the heating element or clean the flange and tank from dirt. It is not recommended to remove scale from the walls, as this is an additional protection of the tank from corrosion. Remove only the scale that has fallen inside or can be easily cleaned with a cloth.
  • Replace or clean the magnesium anode. It screws in next to the ten.
  • Reinstall all parts in reverse order.

Upon completion of assembly, check the tank for leaks. If it leaks, replace the gasket.

When replacing a flange, it is important to install the same design as it was. Otherwise, the gasket may break and the boiler will begin to leak.

Heating element

If you do not regularly clean water heating devices, the anode and heating element will be destroyed, despite the good adaptation of Ariston products to our water. Therefore, it is so important to regularly inspect and repair the Ariston boiler, you can do it yourself.

Counterfeiting of parts

Connecting the Ariston boiler

It is better if this work is carried out by specialists. The rules to follow when installing the device are given below:

  1. It is necessary to inspect the safety valve, which should not have visible flaws. If they are present, then the damaged part should be replaced.
  2. Plastic dowels are used to screw in screws.
  3. Be sure to check all grounding elements.
  4. An electric heater requires a separate power line to operate. The use of extension cords is strictly prohibited. The socket is placed in a damp place.
  5. In operation, you must use the plug that came with the kit.

The Ariston 80 water heater performs the following functions :

  • Turn on/off . After switching on, the entire system starts up, which is due to the indicators lighting up, and the temperature of the water in the boiler will be displayed. If the indicators are not displayed or flashing, this indicates that the system is disabled.
  • Ariston abs vls 80 water heater has power level adjustment function , which makes it possible to set the necessary indicators.
  • Ariston abs vls pw 80 water heater allows you to use antibacterial function , which can be activated or disabled by holding down the “power” button for 5 seconds.
  • Possibility of temperature adjustment using the “+” or “-” buttons in the range from 30° to 75°; The displayed indicators are not recorded. After restarting, you need to set the values again. Standard temperature values are 75°, power – 1500 W.

Water heating

Depending on the volume of the tank, the first heating time will differ. To heat 30 liters of water to 65 degrees, it will take about an hour, 50 liters two hours, and 80 liters three hours. Also, the time depends on the heat of the incoming water and the power of the device. In winter, the water comes in cold and it will take longer to warm up.

Boilers with more powerful heating elements spend less time and more electricity on primary heating. For example, Ariston Platinum SI 80 H with a volume of 80 liters and a 1.5 kW heating element heats water from 20 to 65 degrees in 3 hours and 6 minutes.

A volume of 30 liters is enough for two people, fifty liters is enough for a family of 3 people. An eighty-liter model should be enough for 4-5 people living in the room where the water heater is installed. Also, consumption largely depends on the habits and purposes of using hot water.

The system for using the heater is very simple and straightforward.

Only experienced specialists should install the device. Before installing the tank, it is necessary to check the serviceability of the electrical wiring. Specialists must make sure that the voltage in the network corresponds to the permissible voltage for the tank specified in the instructions for use of the device. The use of adapters or extension cords is prohibited. Connecting additional electrical appliances to the same electrical line is not allowed. The outlet must be dry and away from sources of water. If the power cord becomes damaged over time, it can only be replaced by a specialist.

So, the tank is already connected, how now to turn on the Ariston water heater? The instructions for use will help you connect the heater.

First you need to turn off the supply hot water in the apartment. Otherwise, the contents of the boiler will flow into the riser. Despite the presence of a check valve, turn off the water.

Open the tap and wait until the water has completely drained. When the liquid stops flowing, close the tap.

Read also: How exactly does an instantaneous water heater work?

Cold and heated water enter the boiler and back through two pipes. On the tank they are indicated by blue and red marks, respectively. These mixers on both pipes need to be opened. First turn on cold water, then hot. If you forget to open the tap hot water, then it will flow down the riser into the whole house.

When the air has left the device and the liquid flows in an even stream, the boiler can be connected to the power supply and the desired program can be selected. Pipe with cold water do not block, the supply to the boiler is regulated automatically.

After five minutes, check the water in the tap; its temperature should increase. If so, then you did everything right.

There are also compact water heaters. Installing such devices will not be difficult. They are installed in place of the old tap. After installation, the tank must be connected to a pipe through which cold water flows. Then turn off the hot water tap and connect the device to the outlet. Turn on the water and you're done. To install such heaters, it is still better to contact specialists.

Any heating tank must be connected to a separate outlet, which is located away from sources of moisture.

When you are finished using the boiler, it must be turned off. How to do this? Unplug the tank cord from the outlet. Wait until the water in the tank cools down. Turn off both taps, one of which supplies water to the tank, and the other releases hot water. After this, open the hot water riser.

If the boiler is used from time to time, then there is no need to drain the water from it. Water helps ensure that parts in the device are less susceptible to corrosion. Drain the water immediately before using it again. When you do this, rinse and take a clean one.

If a situation arises when the boiler needs to be emptied of liquid, this can be done using a check valve installed on the device.

Be careful! When the tank is empty, turning it on is strictly prohibited!

In order for the Ariston water heater to serve you for a long time, it needs care. It should be cleaned every six months to protect the heating element from damage. Any malfunction should be repaired by specialists

To notice this, pay attention to the following:

  • the water takes much longer to heat up;
  • a hissing sound is heard while the device is operating;
  • The heater started turning on and off more often.

With proper operation and timely care, the unit will last a long time, since Ariston uses only original spare parts for its devices. The heating elements are made of high-quality copper; a special system protects the device from overheating and freezing. The models are distinguished by their flat shape and easy installation. Tanks are produced in volumes of 30, 50, 80 and 100 liters. The devices have a water purification system to remove bacteria. The displays are functional and easy to use.

Do-it-yourself Ariston boiler repair

Repair work related to eliminating breakdowns in gas appliances requires the involvement of qualified specialists, but repairs of an electric boiler can be done independently.

Major mechanical failures are most often manifested by leaking tanks, from which water begins to ooze or drip during operation. The cause of this problem may be corrosion in the weld areas or a malfunction of the reverse safety valve system, which is triggered and performs an emergency release. In this case, it is necessary to eliminate the excess water and air pressure using a reducer. Any depressurization of the storage tank will require the purchase of a new tank. If such a defect is minor, then it is enough to replace the sealing gasket.

A fairly inexpensive undertaking is to independently replace some electrical parts, including heating elements, bimetallic thermostats, sensors or switches. In case of prolonged heating, noise or hissing, as well as in the event of the shutdown protection of the ABS system, it is necessary to replace the heating element, the average service life of which does not exceed five years. Replacement is carried out after de-energizing the device, draining the water and removing the flange.

It is very important to systematically check the magnesium anode, which is a consumable material and is designed to effectively protect the inner surface of the tank and heating element from corrosive changes. When the anode thins by ½ of its original volume, a mandatory replacement is carried out

The heating element can last much longer if the so-called “dry” heating element is installed in the design.

Installation

Do-it-yourself Ariston is not a difficult task if you carefully read the instructions and follow its instructions. Of course, you can invite specialists who will do everything quickly and efficiently. The only “but” is the price of this service. For example, in Moscow it ranges from $100. Meanwhile, having minimal skills in working with plumbing, you can cope with this task in just 2-3 hours. Considering that you will spend some money on supplies, the net savings will be approximately $60.

Water heater connection diagram.

When assessing the pros and cons, consider the risk of flooding your neighbors below; if something goes wrong, balance your strengths. The advantages of solving this problem yourself include:

  • saving time and money;
  • acquiring the skills that you will need during the operation of the water heater.

Access to the storage water heater (boiler) must be absolutely free, and the wall for mounting must be strong, capable of supporting double weight (for a unit capacity of 50 liters, calculate the load of 100 kg). Determine the condition of your electrical wiring: is it capable of handling the significant additional load? For example, for a 2000 W water heater the copper wire cross-section should be 2.5 mm². Keep in mind that if there are old water pipes in the apartment, sometimes you have to first replace them and only then connect the boiler. Find out what amperage your electric meter is designed for. If it is less than 40 A, you will have to replace it too.

Enabling

If you turn on the boiler for the first time, you should do the following:

  • We inspect the inlet pipes to the water heater and find a check valve. In case of exceeding normal pressure, water will pour out of it. Therefore, you should either place a small container under it, or connect and drain the tube into the sewer.
  • We fill the tank. Open the valves at the water inlet and outlet of the device. To do this, turn the tap handle 90 degrees counterclockwise. Open the hot water tap. We wait until the container is filled. If water starts flowing, this means that the Ariston boiler is full.

It is advisable to visually inspect the pipes for leaks. If water is dripping somewhere, you need to turn off the water and call specialists to fix the problem.

  • We turn on the device to the network. To do this, we either insert the plug into the socket, or turn on the machine to which the electrical cable is connected. The machine may be located near the installation site or in the distribution panel.
  • Set the desired water temperature. It is recommended to set the level to 60-65 degrees. At higher temperature Scale actively accumulates, and at low levels, harmful bacteria can begin to multiply.

The temperature can be set with a mechanical knob, as in the Ariston SG 30 OR model, or by buttons on the control panel, as in the Ariston VELIS EVO PW model.

After this, all you have to do is wait until the liquid warms up and start using hot water. For convenience, you can mix cold water from the tap with warm water from the boiler to achieve the desired temperature.

Installation

Installation of the Ariston Can water heater can be done with your own hands.

The installation of the Ariston water heater must be carried out in strict accordance with the instructions.

Installation instructions for the Ariston water heater, of course, are included when purchasing the unit.

It is necessary to check the outlet and test the voltage in electrical network. The outlet must be grounded and have an independent wire from the panel.

Fastening

Since the weight of the device will be quite heavy, due to the large amount of water, the wall on which it will be installed must be strong. The bolts with which this structure will be secured must also be strong. It is better to use metal fasteners: hooks, bolts, screws with a diameter of 10 mm. The Ariston water heater connection should be close to the hot water supply point to avoid unnecessary heat loss. It is necessary to clearly mark the mounting location of the water heater using a level and tape measure. Make sure that the load is evenly distributed and there are no distortions. Using a drill, holes are drilled in the wall, to which brackets and holder strips are attached, on which the boiler is hung.

Some models are installed on the floor. In this case, the symmetrical installation is adjusted by the legs of the device.

Connection to the water supply system

The hoses and other connecting elements used for connection must withstand the design pressure and temperature of about 80 degrees. When connecting to a water supply system, it is best not to connect two different metals to each other, such as copper and steel (in pipes). To do this, you need to use a dielectric adapter.

Using a valve included in the device, a cold water pipe is connected. The hot water pipe is connected using a pipe. Your task is not to confuse these two inputs when connecting the Ariston boiler.

Start installation with the cold water pipe, it is marked in blue. Sealing tape or tow is wound around the pipe. If you take tow, then you need to lubricate it with a special paste. Then the tee is screwed on. There will be a relief valve at the bottom of the tee. It is installed in the upward arrow direction. This valve will control pressure and superheat. We install a tap on the side of the tee for emergency drainage. You will use it if you need to completely drain the water from the boiler.

The shut-off valve is placed at the bottom and the boiler is connected to the water supply through an adapter.

Connection to hot water is also made through a shut-off valve and adapter.

The correct diagram for connecting the Ariston water heater to the water supply is shown in the video:

Electrical connection

Only after the connection to the water has been made, we connect it to the electrical wiring. Since this unit consumes a lot of electricity, the wires must meet the requirements.

Connecting the Ariston water heater to the electrical network is as follows:

  • Disconnect the water heater from the electrical network.
  • The power supply wires are connected to the screw terminals of the thermostat.
  • Be sure to observe the phases when connecting: - L, A or P1 - phase wire; N, B or P2 - neutral wire.
  • Connect the grounding wire to the clamp on the boiler body.
  • Connect the control lamp terminals to the contacts.
  • Press the thermostat button.
  • Close the lid
  • Before turning on the power supply, you must check that the boiler is filled with water.
  • Turn on the power.

Connection diagram of the Ariston boiler to electricity via a double circuit breaker:

Boiler connection

The electrical wire for the boiler must run through the wall or be hidden in a corrugated material made of non-flammable material. The connection cable must be three-core, preferably copper. Installation of the Ariston water heater must provide for grounding. Grounding is not done on metal objects and pipes, such as sewerage, water supply, and so on.

Getting started

Before starting work, you should once again make sure that the flange is strictly in the center. If it is slightly off to the side, install it correctly (loosen or tighten). After filling the tank with cold water, open the hot water outlet valve on the boiler to allow excess air to escape, then close it.

When the heating pressure is turned on, the light on the body of the water heater should light up. Sometimes the cold water hose heats up during operation. In some Ariston models, the temperature can be adjusted with a special knob connected to the thermostat using a screw. Economy mode is indicated on the unit with the letter “E”.

In the event of an unexpected breakdown or malfunction of the new water heater, you can contact a warranty repair workshop in your city. The usual warranty period for an Ariston boiler is 1-2 years, depending on the model (the same as for a Termex, Bosch or Nova Tech water heater). If before the expiration of this time you tried to open and repair the unit yourself, then, most likely, in a free warranty service you will be refused. Keep the warranty card issued by the store until the end of the warranty period.

The storage water heater from the Ariston company is a unit that is quite easy to operate and reliable. If you strictly follow the instructions during installation and during further use, it will serve you faithfully for many years.

Boiler installation

Storage water heaters heat water for a certain time in special tanks from 10 to 150 liters or more. In small city apartments, boilers of 50 or 80 liters are most often installed. Fastening to a weak wall (for example, plasterboard) is excluded. There is no fundamental difference in installing a small or large tank, except that the larger the unit, the more powerful the fastening elements should be.

Scheme of a storage water heater.

Break the work into several stages. The main and most important stage- fastening the boiler to the wall. If the container is horizontal, it is advisable to attach it higher, under the ceiling, if vertical - at the level of the person’s head or chest. The floors under the boiler must be waterproofed in case of leakage.

You need to work carefully, avoiding scratches and damage to the outer surface of the unit from tools. It should also be borne in mind that the electronic control unit of the boiler does not have autonomous source power supply, in the event of any power failure, the settings will be lost and a restart will be required.

Use bolts, hooks, and screws with a diameter of at least 10 mm. Using a tape measure and level, mark the fastening locations. Make sure that all points on back side the units intended for installation have been used, do not allow distortions. Drill holes with a drill, then attach brackets and holders to them on which the boiler is hung.

Let's look at the basic rules of how to use an Ariston water heater. Each device comes with a user manual, but often everything is written in incomprehensible technical terms.

Enabling

If you turn on the boiler for the first time, you should do the following:

After this, all you have to do is wait until the liquid warms up and start using hot water. For convenience, you can mix cold water from the tap with warm water from the boiler to achieve the desired temperature.

Use of shower and bath

If you plan to take a bath, you should take a larger tank. For these purposes, Ariston TI TRONIC INDUSTRIAL with a capacity of 300 liters is well suited. To make sure there is enough water, set the thermostat to more high temperature. This will allow the hot water to be more diluted and due to this, one tank can be enough for several people.

When using a shower, you initially spend money less water. At the same time, you can save additional money by turning off the tap from time to time, using water only to rinse off the soap.

Check the correct grounding in accordance with current standards and regulations. The power outlet for your water heater must have a grounding pin and be properly grounded. The grounding and neutral wires must be different and easily identified. Attention: if the water heater is not grounded, then in the event of a short circuit the RCD (residual current device) supplied may not work. It's dangerous!

Don't use any

The electric water heater must be powered from a separate electrical line from the electrical distribution board. Connecting additional electrical devices to this line is not allowed.

The heater power outlet should be located in a dry place, away from sources of splashing water.

An electric water heater uses a special power cord. If damaged, it should be replaced with a special power cord by a qualified technician.

To disconnect the heater from the network, use a two-pole switch with a gap between open contacts of at least 3 mm.

4. Installation instructions

4.1 Installing the water heater on the wall

4.1.1 Installation position and wall requirements

The wall must support twice the weight of the heater filled with water. To reduce heat loss, the water heater should be installed as close as possible to the point of water use. It is recommended to leave a free space of at least 50 cm around the water heater for maintenance.

Attention! The water heater is designed for indoor installation. If in winter time If you are not planning to use it, drain it of water as it may freeze and damage it.

4.1.2 Installation of horizontal water heaters

Choose the optimal position on the wall to mount the water heater. Refer to the distance between brackets C indicated in the attached table.

Drill 4 holes for strikers that are attached to the wall. Hole diameter ∅16 mm, depth 80 mm.
Striker

Insert plastic dowels into the holes. Next, use the screws inserted into the dowels to secure the strikers to the wall. Attention! When the screw head holds the hook panel firmly against the wall, stop driving the screws to avoid damaging the planks. Slowly continue lowering the water heater until it remains hanging on the wall; check that it is securely mounted on the wall. At the same time, keep in mind specified distance between the installation points of the strips.

4.1.2 Installation of horizontal water heaters
Choose the optimal position on the wall to mount the water heater. Refer to the distance between brackets C indicated in the attached table. Drill 2 holes for strikers that are attached to the wall. Hole diameter Ш16 mm, depth 80mm. For 80 and 100 liter water heaters, 2 additional holes must be drilled.
In this case, keep in mind the specified distance between the installation points of the slats.

4.2 Connection to water supply

Screw the safety valve (A) that came with the water heater into the water heater inlet, marked in blue (see Figure 7).
Connect the cold water line (B) to the lower connection of the safety valve.
Connect the drain pipe (C) to the relief valve drain pipe. The free end of the drain pipe must be exposed to the atmosphere. The drain pipe must be sloping downwards and must not be directed towards the user.
Connect the hot water line (D) to the water heater outlet marked in red.
The inlet and outlet pipes must be designed for a water pressure of about 0.6 MPa and a temperature of 95 °C.
To avoid damaging the safety valve, do not screw it into the water heater too tightly.

If the pressure in the water supply network is close to the response pressure of the safety valve, install a pressure reduction reducer on the water supply line at a distance from the water heater.
If a tap is installed in the cold water supply line, it must be constantly open.
During normal operation of the water heater, water may drip from the safety valve drain pipe during heating, which means that pressure is being released from the device.

5. Actions after installing the water heater

Open the tap in the cold water supply line, then open the hot water tap on the mixer and wait until the discharge water flow rate is equal to the supply water flow rate. This means that the water heater is filled with water. Close the mixer tap and leave the tap in the supply line open.
Attention! Before turning on the water heater, make sure that the tank is full of water and there are no leaks in the system.
After filling the water heater tank with water and checking the system for leaks, plug the water heater's waterproof electrical plug into an outlet.

6. Operation of an electric water heater

7. Points that require attention

1. When starting the water heater for the first time, as well as at each start after shutdown, make sure that the water heater is filled with water and only then plug it into the network.
2. If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced with a special cord. This cord can be purchased from an authorized service center.
3. In winter and cold areas, when the heater is not used for a long time, drain the water from the heater. To do this: close the cold water supply valve, open the drain tap (if you have a mixer, turn its regulator to position maximum temperature), close the sediment removal drain (be careful not to get scalded), then drain the water.
4. Sockets must have reliable grounding.
5. During operation, periodically clean the heater. Sequence of actions: disconnect the water heater from the network, turn off the water tap, open the drain valve by turning the handle, open the drain hole (be careful not to get scalded) and drain the dirt. It is advisable that this work be done by a qualified specialist.
6. If there is severe scale formation in the heating elements or large quantity sediment, remove the heating elements and clean them. When reinstalling them, observe the following steps: the bolts must be tightened evenly, without significant force, and the fixing support must not be tilted. The power supply can only be connected after the water heater has been filled with water.
7. If the heater is not used for a long time, turn off the cold water supply tap and disconnect the water heater from the power supply.
8. When the water pressure exceeds 6 bar, water droplets or leakage may occur at the safety valve drain hole.
Rare appearance drops of water on the safety valve drain hole indicate normal operation of the heater.
Frequent drops of water on the drain hole of the safety valve indicate that the water pressure is higher than normal. In this case, it is necessary to install a pressure reducer on the cold water supply pipe, which should be located at the maximum distance from the heater.
To drain the resulting drops of water, a drain tube can be used, the end of which should be directed downwards and not be closed.
9. Before contacting the service center, make sure that the malfunction of the device is not associated with a shutdown of the cold water supply, power supply, etc. If the water heater is not supplied with power, the water overheating safety thermostat may have tripped. In this case, contact an Authorized Service Center. Prepare a warranty card. The service technician will need it during Ariston repairs.
