Course Features:

1. Mountaineering techniques are quite complex, require regular practice, and without practice they are quickly forgotten. That is why all of our participants receive a reminder (printed or electronic) that sets out in detail all the material we have covered.

2. This course will be interesting to take part in not only for beginners, but also for “continuing” ones. While beginners will learn how to juggle and rappel, more experienced participants will be introduced to topics such as rope building, assisted ascent, tandem-counterweight abseiling, and loaded rope approach. ”, “descent of the victim with an escort”, “transition from ascent to descent”, “passing a knot”, and also ask the instructor all your questions.

3. There are quite a lot of interpretations of the above techniques. Some people rappel the old fashioned way on a figure eight without a gripping knot or tie it above the descender, some use a “daisy chain” as a self-belay and use uncertified equipment, some cannot imagine many techniques without a huge amount of auxiliary equipment (ropes , rollers, pedals, etc.) But we found a “common denominator” and provide material in accordance with the standard of the UIAA commission (International Union of Mountaineering Associations) - the generally accepted standard for teaching mountaineering now in Russia.

We have already become real friends with the club. Phil and Sasha will always advise and help.
Our gang of “die-hard tourists” has already gathered around the club and I’m glad that City are the guys who are the point of communication and mentors.
This is your third time on the course and you will be happy to meet those who were with you before.
With each course you go through new exercises that at first make your head explode, and only then do you find the logic of action.
Special thanks to the guys for the delicious diet and especially the mulled wine)))).
And Kostya for the anthem of the courses “Do you know” :))
City Escape, we have become true friends and I am glad that every day this is only confirmed))).
See you in the mountains, forests and swamps.

P.s.: forever your Frenchman of Icelandic origin, Monsieur Poozik 😝😀😀😀

I’m going to Belukha, but I couldn’t come to the courses in winter. Salute to Zeus for deflating my flare-ups and delaying the onset of spring. Upon arrival at the place, erected tents, hanging ropes, boiling water, cookies and sandwiches were waiting for us. The mentors divided us into groups. And I went to Konstantin to repeat the topic of ropes, crampons (climbing) and ice axes. Then he waved the students to Alexandra and I went to repeat the theme of ascent and descent along moderately steep terrain using a rope, metal devices and a uaa knot. And then, under the guidance of Konstantin, I felt what it was like to climb a vertical dirty wall on one jumar. In the evening, chefs Leonid and Sergey prepared a meaty dinner. There was also mulled wine, so much so that you could set it on fire (tested and filmed). Along with mulled wine, mentor Konstantin and new participant Dima staged a concert of songs, but there was no movie on this topic, since the camera and the people did not have the same lighting requirements. The morning of the next day was devoted to eating breakfast and the topics of transporting those who had stumbled under the leadership of Constantine and the rope crossing under the leadership of Philip. Konstantin demonstrated well and gave various techniques to practice on how to make a stretcher. It is not easy to remember this by heart (especially so as to remember it on difficult terrain and bad weather conditions). And it seemed to me that I understood how important it is not to stumble, but more on that later, my dear reader. Afterwards, everyone went through the canopy crossing. Since this was my second experience, I undertook to complete it with limited equipment (without a wheel rolling along a rope). I passed, but it was difficult. Then he chewed on his own. And then it smelled like lunch. For lunch, the chefs prepared a rich chicken soup. Put it on a plate. There's just a chicken leg floating there. There were two ways to my seat - through the puddle and on the ice. I chose the second one. And he screwed up brutally. I almost found myself in the role of someone who stumbled and spilled the soup.
But will he forget in his heart? The one who wants the best for us, The one who always feeds us, Our dear cooks - I received the supplement ash with two legs.
The course is being improved over and over again. Current topics also need repetition. You can also find new topics. But what needs to be done for sure is a hot banquet upon arrival. Otherwise, oh, how spoiled I was in Kenozerye.

01/27-28/2018 I’ve been with the City Escape club for a while now. But this is my second ropes course. And here, as they say, you need to get a taste, taste it. Understand, feel all the moments. The first time it was an acquaintance. Now it's a sequel and I liked it even more. The atmosphere on the hike is calm, relaxed, and at the same time you feel at ease. Undoubtedly, the main component of this is the work of the club, the organizers of this event. It should be noted that the club provides all the necessary equipment. The course material is accessible and clear, all theory is put into practice. If something is not clear, you can always ask and repeat. No participant will be left unattended. And of course delicious dinner by the fire in a circle of participants, a cheerful crazy company (guys, hello everyone!))) and hot, aromatic mulled wine. Thanks to the organizers, instructors and all participants! It was fun and interesting, I plan to attend the ropes course again)

    Good day everyone.
On January 27-28, 2018, my friends and I attended a ropes course organized by professionals. Competent instructors and simply good people from City Escape gave us the opportunity to spend this weekend with an unforgettable experience. This is the second time they have visited with friends. I tried it once and couldn’t help but go again. We had a very wonderful and interesting time together good people and, as mentioned above, professionals in their field. It is also important that the food was very tasty.
I highly recommend it to anyone who is tired of office work. A wonderful way to unwind and get a lot of positive emotions.
I have already signed up for the next course, which I advise you to do))

The mountains never let you go, but in the Moscow region there are excellent places for training and just relaxing time. Last weekend we had a great time climbing in the quarries in Polushkino.
Great company, fire, guitar and a lot of interesting things. We remembered knots, organized a rope crossing, assembled stations, rescued comrades on the wall and saved ourselves on a snowy slope, climbed the rock with ice tools. It’s very cool, both as a workout and as active entertainment for those who haven’t fallen in love with the mountains yet.. It’s always great with you!

Many thanks to the organizers, everything is simple top level! And, of course, special thanks to the instructors for their clear explanations, patience and answers to all questions. I will definitely take part in other club events and trips in the future. And I recommend it to you ;)

    Hi all!
I would like to express my deep gratitude to the organizers and instructors! everything was super! after you realize at home that it happened, you begin to look forward to the next time!
A huge THANK YOU to all the participants for a wonderful weekend!
    Hope to see you soon!!!

Just great! I tried mountaineering for the first time. I realized for myself that I want to go to such courses at least several times a year. Because this is just a great tourist club with an excellent organization, experienced instructors, great company, good physical activity, and a very, very interesting pastime. I never thought about mountaineering before, but now I want to move a little further, practice what I’ve learned)

I have never been to the mountains and have no mountaineering skills. The January and March courses systematically taught the mind and hands the ability to tie basic and necessary knots, to belay a partner, to descend independently with a self-belay, to climb a rope on a jumar, to bypass knots on a rope without changing the direction of movement)).
Either Philip, Sasha and Denis are excellent instructors, or I am diligent, but I have acquired invaluable knowledge and skills.
And breakdowns are a dangerous thing! I felt the bones cracking as they were instinctively hacked to death with crampons and not with an ice pick.

Amazing weekend! Incredibly positive and interesting company, which made you forget about wet feet, nasty rain, mud squelching in your boots... It was not only fun, but also useful, for which special thanks to the instructors. Sasha, Philip, Denis - organization at the highest level, both in everyday life and in training. They will show you everything, tell you everything, repeat it five, and if necessary, twenty times. Very clear and professional. Learning was easy and fun. I will definitely come to confirm and further development skills. Thank you!

I just don’t have words for how cool everything was, fun, productive, warm, cozy, dirty, educational, funny, delicious, chilly, technical, in short, just like home))) low bow to the instructors!!! ???For your patience, perseverance, cold-bloodedness and kindness...(Denis’s words: “and now the khan” will be forever imprinted in my memory???) and these gatherings around the fire... It’s better to see once than to hear 100 times. Concentration of smart, funny and interesting people on such a small piece of land. And I am very glad that I was lucky enough to be among them. cosmic gratitude to all of you!!!?

Hello and prosperity to everyone who has visited the Club website and is interested in acquiring or developing mountaineering skills. Three days ago I was an absolute noob. Today, as I understand it, I have ideas and the minimum necessary skills. I came to the Club school for two reasons. Firstly, I decided to climb Elbrus in 2017. Secondly, I was looking for someone to climb with, under whose guidance. The Internet is rich in offers. But he immediately dismissed the “broker brokers.” I analyzed “team companies” that go to the mountains themselves and carry the suffering with them. I liked the Cityescape website: a very rich line of offers, designed for different ages, hobbies, temporary opportunities of people; detailed reports, wonderfully illustrated and, what seemed important, detailed, knowledgeably described programs of the proposed trips. Based on the style of the reviews, it was felt that they were not custom-made. In general, the site attracted me and convinced me. I then took the opportunity to ask a question and get advice. I received a response promptly, to the point, and detailed. I took a risk and signed up for a mountaineering school, which took place on March 4-5. Wonderful and useful two days. Expectations were confirmed. Instructors: Philip, Alexandra, Denis. Already from the first educational activities it was obvious that safety and the desire to teach were the basis of learning for them. Open, friendly, extremely attentive, meticulous. Simple, clear explanation; where necessary - personal demonstration, as they say, on yourself. Their professionalism and teaching qualities captivate. People are not random in their business. You can trust.

    Thanks for the ropes course!
In addition to the useful and easily digestible information received, I was able to remember how to knit knots, self-belay devices, and the sequence of fastening iron into a rope according to the circumstances.
I am proud of the results achieved in my acquaintance with mountaineering;)
I'm joining the advanced group in March!

Thank you guys! We had a great time and had a great time, got a lot useful information, which I tried in practice. Great venue. ?

I tried it for the first time - previously I knew about mountaineering only from films and videos on the Internet. I thought it wouldn’t hook me, but no, it did! Over the course of two days, there is a lot of useful information, communication with nice people and positivity. The work of instructors Philip, Alexandra and Konstantin is top notch. There was always an answer to any question, if something didn’t work out they always helped and corrected it. And sitting around the fire with a guitar is absolutely great! I would like to wish the guys further success in their difficult task, and also thank all the participants in this campaign! Good luck to everyone and see you on new routes!!

I visited the “Mountaineering School” for the first time in August, without any mountaineering experience, it was very interesting! The second time in October, positive impressions and emotions are again overwhelming, but I would especially like to note the well-constructed structure of the course, in which both beginners and those who already have some experience will definitely find something new and useful. To develop mountaineering skills you need a lot of practice and this is a great opportunity to get it on natural terrain. Thanks to instructors Philip, Alexandra and Konstantin for new knowledge and excellent organization of classes, I don’t know how you did it (after all, there were a lot of us!), but you were ALWAYS there, ready to help with action and advice! The level of safety is very high, during the first lesson I had some uncertainty about working at heights (due to the lack of such experience), but it quickly passed and was replaced by confidence in the instructors, the guys and myself. Thanks to the “School” for the new friends whom I was lucky enough to meet there; with you, any rock can be climbed!))))

    Complete delight!
From the organization of the event, from the instructor leaders, from the whole team, picturesque quarries and beautiful weather!
Two days is like a vacation!
    Amazingly warm atmosphere.
Not a shadow of doubt about the reliability of the insurance.
A lot of new things on the topic of rock climbing!
    Evening, fire, guitar...
    It's just a holiday!
    Unforgettable!
Philip, Alexandra, Konstantin THANK YOU SO MUCH for these magnificent two days!
And of course a BIG THANK YOU to ALL the participants of this wonderful holiday!???????????

Sometimes it’s worth getting out of the city for at least a couple of days to engage in outdoor activities. A ropes course and rock climbing are an ideal idea for such a holiday. It was an interesting sunny weekend in a great location and with good company. I learned a lot of new things, realized the accumulated energy, and was charged with positivity.
Regarding the work of the instructors, I had no doubt about the professionalism and reliability of the City Escape team after climbing Elbrus with them (by the way, successful for the whole group), so on this trip I did not worry about the reliability of the equipment and the attentiveness of the instructors during the classes.
