Passing score for the Unified State Exam in Russian. Federal news

federal Service for supervision in the field of education and science summed up the preliminary results of the 2017 Unified State Exam in social studies, literature and physics.

During the main period, about 318 thousand participants took the Unified State Exam in Social Studies, the Unified State Exam in Physics - more than 155 thousand participants, the Unified State Exam in Literature - more than 41 thousand participants. Average scores in all three subjects in 2017 are comparable to last year.

The number of Unified State Exam participants who failed to overcome the established minimum threshold in subjects has decreased: in social studies to 13.8% from 17.5% last year, in physics - to 3.8% from 6.1%, in literature - to 2 .9% from 4.4% a year earlier.

“The average scores are comparable to last year’s results, this indicates the stability of the exam and the objectivity of the assessment. It is important that the number of those who fail to overcome the minimum thresholds decreases. This happens largely due to competent work with Unified State Exam results, when they are analyzed and used in the work of institutes for advanced training of teachers. In a number of regions, the project “I will pass the Unified State Exam” has produced very serious results,” noted the head of Rosobrnadzor, Sergei Kravtsov.

Thanks to the use of technology for scanning participants’ work at examination points, the results of the Unified State Examination in social studies, literature and physics were processed ahead of schedule established by the schedule for issuing results. Graduates will be able to find out their results a day earlier.

Constantly changing. In 2017, applicants will be faced with several innovations at once. Among them is a special methodology for calculating threshold points for admission. The initiator of the reform was the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation. In the summer of 2016, the department approached the Ministry of Education and Science with a proposal to entrust Rosobrnadzor with the development new scheme calculation of the Unified State Exam threshold score. Today it does not exist as such, and the minimum scores for admission are set based on the results of the previous year’s graduates.

In 2017, they will finally develop a methodology for calculating threshold points

Passing scores for the Unified State Exam 2017 upon admission

If you look at how the numbers have changed over the entire existence of the Unified State Exam, you can come to the conclusion: the requirements for graduates are becoming stricter from year to year. But officials believe that the low scores of eleventh-graders indicate their insufficient level of knowledge. The head of Rosobrnadzor promised to develop new technique assessments by 2017. For now, graduates can only rely on the 2016 standards. To enroll in a bachelor's or specialist's degree, you need to score the following points:

  • Russian language – 36
  • Mathematics – 27
  • Computer Science – 40
  • Biology – 36
  • History – 32
  • Chemistry – 36
  • Foreign languages – 22
  • Physics – 36
  • Social studies – 42
  • Literature – 32
  • Geography – 37

Moreover, each university can set its own threshold scores. The more prestigious the establishment, the higher the requirements. Thus, the average score for admission to a highly competitive university is from 70 points for each subject. If your goal is to obtain a certificate of secondary education, then it is enough to pass the Russian language with 24 points and specialized level mathematics with 27 points. Each student can retake the Unified State Exam twice, even if his result is above the threshold mark.

Unified State Exam - federal system knowledge testing, on the basis of which a decision is made to enroll a graduate in a particular university. What should be the minimum USE 2017 scores in all subjects to guarantee admission to a higher education institution? This will be discussed in our article.

Unified State Exam 2017: changes and innovations

Until 2016, the state exam was taken only in testing format. On the one hand, this created certain difficulties for schoolchildren: creative subjects, such as literature, are very difficult to fit into the framework of dry tests. On the other hand, the testing form itself gives a hint to the attentive student - it is easier to choose the correct solution from several answer options.

These facts significantly influenced the decision of the Ministry of Education to make a number of changes to the Unified State Examination system. Accordingly, the mechanism for awarding Unified State Examination 2017 points will also change.

And, perhaps, the main innovation that awaits schoolchildren in 2017 is oral exam in the Russian language - one of the compulsory subjects of the Unified State Exam.

Another change is the introduction of a third compulsory subject. Let us remind you that today schoolchildren are required to take mathematics and the Russian language; students have the right to choose the remaining subjects independently. History is intended to complement the “main pair,” although today the third compulsory subject has not yet been fully determined. The choice of history is not accidental: as the results of past exams show, the level of knowledge in this discipline among modern schoolchildren is catastrophically low. The innovation, according to officials, should raise interest in the subject and force students to pay maximum attention to it.

At the same time, it is also planned to take history orally - at least partially. The oral form will help create a more complete picture of the student’s level of knowledge and will help to understand how deeply the student understands the subject.

If history is nevertheless included in the list of compulsory subjects, then students will have the following subjects to choose from:

  • Biology
  • Computer science
  • Social science
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Foreign language
  • Geography
  • Literature

Of these subjects, the student will need to choose only one and score at least the threshold value in it.

Minimum Unified State Examination Scores in 2017: score table

There are two options for minimum Unified State Examination 2017 scores: for a certificate and for admission to universities. The first must be overcome in order to obtain a certificate of secondary education, the second serves as a criterion for admission to universities in the country. In some subjects these values coincide, but there are also differences. If the threshold level is not overcome, documents for admission to a university or institute from yesterday’s graduate will simply not be accepted.

Students are given the opportunity to retake the exam twice. Moreover, a chance to correct their grades is given even if the student has overcome the threshold level and simply wants to improve total score. Another plus is that a graduate can use the exam results for three years.

Currently, data on the threshold level is based on summary information for the previous year. Passing scores in all subjects in 2017 are the minimum level of knowledge that a student must demonstrate. Reaching the threshold for the Unified State Exam 2017 means showing a fairly low level of knowledge. General level Teachers at higher educational institutions assess the education of schoolchildren as quite low, complaining about the insufficient aspirations of yesterday’s students to become professionals.

Every graduate understands perfectly well that in order to successfully enter a specialty of interest, it is necessary to thoroughly prepare for the Unified State Exam 2018 and score the maximum possible points. What does it mean to “pass the exam well” and how many points will be enough to compete for a budget place in a particular university? This will be discussed in this article.

We will cover the following important questions:

First of all, it is important to understand that there is:

  • the minimum score giving the right to receive a certificate;
  • the minimum score that allows you to apply to a university;
  • the minimum score sufficient for actual admission to the budget in a specific specialty at a certain university in Russia.

Naturally, these figures differ significantly.

Minimum certification score

Minimum Unified State Examination scores are established for compulsory subjects - Russian language and mathematics basic level and in 2018 are:

Having passed this threshold, but not reaching the minimum test score, the examinee will receive a certificate, but will not be able to submit documents to the university.

Minimum test score

The test minimum is a threshold value that gives the right to enter a university. In other words, persons who have passed the test threshold theoretically have the right to enter the competition for budget places. Although, in practice, it is almost impossible to enter highly ranked universities with minimal indicators.

In 2018, in all subjects except the Russian language and basic mathematics, the minimum Unified State Exam test scores coincide with the certification scores and are:

The principle of calculating the success of passing a single state exam assumes that the subject must demonstrate high, average or enough level knowledge corresponding to grades “5”, “4” and “3” on the school scale.

In case of an unsatisfactory result, as well as when passing with a score that the examinee considers insufficient for himself, graduates are given the right to retake the Unified State Exam.

Minimum score for admission to the budget

Most universities announce the threshold score required for applicants for a budget place. This allows each applicant to realistically assess the prospects for admission and choose universities and specialties taking into account the points scored on the Unified State Exam.

In 2018, we can be guided by the fact that last season the average passing scores for all Unified State Exam subjects among applicants admitted to MGIMO and other highly ranked universities in the capital, fluctuated between the threshold value of 80-90. But, for most regional universities in the Russian Federation, 65-75 points can be considered a competitive result.

Converting the primary score to the resulting score

By completing the tasks proposed in the Unified State Examination ticket, the examinee gains so-called primary points, the maximum value of which varies depending on the subject. When assessing the level of knowledge, such primary scores are converted into final scores, which are entered into the certificate and are the basis for admission.

By using online calculator, you will be able to compare primary and test scores in subjects of interest.

Just like last year, in 2018 the points scored while passing the Unified State Exam influence the certificate score and, although the official table for comparing test scores and traditional assessments has not been adopted, you can roughly compare your scores right now using a universal calculator.

Please note that the average passing scores for different specialties at the same university may differ significantly. This figure reflects the minimum score of applicants admitted to the budget, and tends to change every year. The results of 2017 can only serve as a kind of guideline for applicants in 2018, motivating them to achieve the highest possible results.

The minimum passing score is influenced by many factors, including:

  1. the total number of graduates who applied and the scores shown on their certificates;
  2. the number of applicants who provided original documents;
  3. number of beneficiaries.

So, seeing your name in 20th place in the list of a specialty that provides 40 budget places, you can confidently consider yourself a student. But, even if you find yourself on this list of 45, there is no reason to be upset if among those standing in front of you there are 5-10 people who provided copies of documents, because most likely these people are set on another university and submitted documents for this specialty as a backup option .

Minimum threshold for the Unified State Exam 2017 in all subjects primary score: basic information you need to know before admission.

What is the Unified State Exam, what is the minimum threshold and what are the consequences.

The Unified State Exam is an exam for secondary general education programs, which simultaneously serves as a graduation exam from schools and an entrance exam to universities. Schoolchildren will have to complete the same type of tasks, which are assessed using a single method for assessing the level and quality of knowledge.

Unified State Exam on the territory Russian Federation, as well as outside its borders, is carried out according to a single exam schedule. Those wishing to familiarize themselves with them can find necessary information on the GIA website by logging in through your personal page with the introduction of passport data.

You need to know that students have the right to retake the Unified State Exam if they do not have enough points for the minimum threshold.

The minimum threshold is also called minimum quantity points on the Unified State Exam, i.e. the lower limit of the mark, which is satisfactory when assessing the knowledge necessary to obtain a certificate and enter higher education educational establishments. It is a kind of confirmation of the assimilation of knowledge in the secondary school curriculum.

The minimum threshold in 2017 for various subjects is provided in the table:

When passing the State Examination in the form of the Unified State Exam, a grading system of 100 points is used, with the exception of mathematics. For each Unified State Examination, as we know, a minimum number of required points has been established.

Upon completion of checking the exam results, the chairman of the State Examination Committee, within 1 working day, reviews the results obtained and accepts significantly important decision upon their approval, modification or cancellation.

After approval, also within 1 day, the results are sent to organizations and bodies operating in the field of education. It is necessary to monitor the onset of the official day for announcing the results, because it is from this day that the 2 days that are given for appealing about disagreement with the awarded scores are counted. This document is submitted in writing and must comply with legal requirements.

Results are valid for 4 years.

If a participant in the Unified State Exam receives a result below the minimum limit in one of the compulsory subjects, he has the right to retake it again in additional periods provided by the state in a unified schedule.

Another option is the situation when a Unified State Exam participant does not overcome the minimum threshold in elective subjects. In this case, retake is provided only after a year.
