Brief background:

Johnny Cage is one of the few surviving characters after the events. After these events, Johnny ended his career as an actor, began working in the Special Forces as a field agent, married Sonya Blade and they had a daughter, Cassie. The God of Thunder and protector of the Earth, Raiden is one of the main characters in the Mortal Kombat series. It was at his request that the Elder Gods ordered the Mortal Kombat tournaments to be held.

However, when the exiled god Shinnok and the necromancer Quan Chi teamed up to take over the Earth, and the Elder Gods refused to help, Raiden again abandoned his status, and, enlisting the support of his old enemy Shang Tsung, went to Outworld to fight the forces evil. And finally, in a fight with Emperor Onaga, Raiden sacrificed himself, putting all his divine power into a crushing blow. Liu Kang is one of the central characters of the Mortal Kombat series, a Shaolin monk and champion of the Earth, who more than once saves it from death. Lin Kuei

Cassandra or Cassie Cage

New Mortal Kombat X characters

Eight of the above characters are new to the Mortal Kombat series. Below you can find a description of each of them:

Cassie Cage(Cassie Cage) is the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. She, like her mother, became a member of the special forces. Due to the fact that Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade were the only survivors of the last Mortal Kombat game, Cassie Cage will undoubtedly play one of the most important roles in Mortal Kombat X.
