Purpose: The New Year tree is an integral attribute of the New Year and Christmas celebrations.
Goals: Making spruce for the New Year and Christmas from plastic bags.
Tasks:
- teach how to cut bags into a long ribbon and make pom-poms;
- development of creative abilities;
- fostering interest in making crafts with your own hands.

For work we need following materials and tools:

- 3-4 plastic bags of different colors;

5-6 bags of green and one white;
- Sheet of cardboard 30*30;
- Cardboard;
- Threads with a needle;
- Glue moment crystal

Work progress:

In this case, for work, I found green bags that are super durable. They have welded side seams. Previously, I used “T-shirt” type packaging bags for work.
Cut off the handles and bottom of the bag. It turns out to be a pipe.

We fold it almost in half (one fold does not reach the other 15-20 mm), bend it several more times depending on the width of the package.

Cut with fringe, strip width 5 mm

We straighten the twisted strips, but not completely (the long ones get tangled, become electrified and then fall under the blade of the scissors).
Straighten along the fold index finger left hand.

You can use a ruler.

Cut off the first strip under acute angle. Next we cut from undercut to undercut. We do it very carefully; in case of a mistake, it turns out not a ribbon, but rings.

We wind the ribbons onto balls.
We make double blanks from cardboard with a fold of 25 and 20 mm wide

Making green pom-poms: * 10 turns with green ribbon, 3 turns with white ribbon*...130 turns in total.
Using a 4-fold thread, we tightly tie the winding towards the fold of the cardboard.

We insert the blade of the scissors between the layers of cardboard and cut the winding.

Fluff the pompom and even it out a little with scissors.

For spruce 350 mm high, prepare:
on cardboard there are 25-17 green pompoms, 3 colored;
narrow the cardboard by 2-3 mm - 13 green pompoms, 3 colored ones;
on cardboard there are 20-10 green pompoms, 2 colored ones;
narrow the cardboard by 2-3 mm - 9 green pompoms, 1 colored one;
for the top of the head 1 two-color pompom.

Glue 1/4 of a circle with a radius of 300 mm into a cone. For reliability, you can stitch or staple.
We start gluing with large pompoms. The first row of pompoms is 10 green.

Glue the second row - between 7 green ones, 3 colored ones.
The third row of 8 green pompoms is slightly smaller in size.

Fourth row: 5 green, 3 colored.
Fifth row 6 green pompoms from cardboard 20mm wide.

Sixth row: 4 green, 2 colored.
Next, glue small pom-poms to the top of the head.

Glue the top of the head.
The Christmas tree is ready.

Natalya saw a photo of this cute chicken on the Internet and immediately got the idea to create exactly the same one. There were no explanations on how to make chicken, so I had to come up with everything myself. Natalya hopes that her master class will be useful to someone. To make chicken we need:
* Plastic bags.
* Thick wire.
* Thin wire.
* Pen or pencil.
* Sheet A 4 - 2 pcs.
* Thermal gun.

Method for making chicken:
We’ll make a sketch on two sheets of A 4 and then bend the frame from thick wire using it. We make the frame approximately, then when you create volume for it, all the flaws will be covered.

Natalya dreamed of making a chicken from colored bags, but she only came across rustling ones, and they wouldn’t look very good. Therefore, I decided to make soft, dense bags from what I had (the black one is thinner), from which we can make a pestle chicken))).
We cut strips from the bags, 3 cm strips will be needed on the body, and 2 cm on the head. The strips also need to be cut across to make a long ribbon. It didn’t take a lot of bags to make the chicken, 3-4 pieces of each color. It also depends on the tightness of the parts.

Now we take a thin wire and start assembling a ribbon on it, we should get a ruffle like in the photo.

The volume of the chicken is made of bags, we fix it with tape or some kind of synthetic tape. We start adding volume to the chicken from the tail. We put a corner of the bag on the tail and fasten it with tape. We braid five braids from bags, securing the edges with a stapler. Now we glue the little frills to the bag on the tail. glue gun.
The chicken will turn out to be approximately the size of a regular chicken, it all depends on the frame, which one you draw, that’s what you’ll get. You can stuff the chicken with unnecessary rags or paper, but if you are making it for the street, then stuff it with plastic bags, otherwise everything inside will rot. It is best to glue the finished frills with a glue gun.

Gradually we reach the breast.

We shape the breast from bottom to top like a frill.

If we do not change the length of the ribbons, then we will end up with a plump breast.

We take the wire and make paws from it.

We screw it onto the base, but it doesn’t turn out very securely, so we fill it with hot glue.

We trace the head on plastic (you can take a stand for hot food), draw a comb, beak, beard and cut it out with an allowance of 0.5 cm. We fix it with a glue gun (a super thing, after all), it’s better to paint it before fixing it.

We are finishing the final touches - adding ruffles to the head. We will make the eyes from the buttons on the leg, paint them with orange nail polish and draw the eyes with a black permanent marker. We wrap the legs with tape cut from the packaging. The chicken from the plastic bags is ready.

Manufacturing funny toys« rustlers» We have been teaching our students for more than 12 years.

The idea of ​​converting polyethylene packages into fun crafts was the beginning of long-term environmental project: "I can toys trash turn» .

To support our children’s interest in this topic, we have prepared advisory materials for them parents: « Merry« rustling creatures» or what to do with a child on a day off.” Now the mothers and fathers of our next pupils have been full participants in this project for several years.

1. Cut out several pairs of rings of different sizes from cardboard. Place the rings of each pair one on top of the other.

2. Made of polyethylene packages cut out strips of different widths. We will wrap the rings folded in pairs with these strips until the ribbons fill the hole in the ring. Therefore, it is better to cut narrow strips for small rings, and wide ones for large ones.

3. Then we cut the resulting polyethylene winding along the edge of the ring with scissors and pull the product along the formed groove with a strong thread. Let's remove the cardboards. (Pompoms are made from wool threads using exactly the same principle).

4. Before us is a finished pom-pom - « rustle» . It can serve on its own toy, but you don’t have to stop there and give free rein to your imagination

You must have:

1. Multi-colored, bright bags. Preferably 3-5 shades.
2. There are two types of wire: thick and thinner.
3. Sheet of paper – 2 pcs. A pen or pencil to draw a sketch.
4. Thermal gun.

The manufacturing process begins with a drawn frame of the cockerel’s body, along which we will need to bend the body of our figurine using thick wire. Next, you need to cut strips from the bags, preferably 3 cm long for the sheepskin coat and 2 cm long for the head. We take a wire that is thinner and put our blanks on it. Thus, we should have an accordion. We recommend tying the strips tightly, so the finished toy will look more beautiful.

We need to give the rooster volume. For this you can use cotton wool or rags, whatever you like. Having wrapped the fillings and the frame with tape, we proceed to decorating the toy with our colored accordions. It is advisable to attach them using a heat gun. We do everything gradually, there is no need to rush. The comb and mouth can be cut out of plastic or cardboard, at your discretion. When you completely cover the body with accordions, do not forget about the eyes for the animal. These can be simple beads. That's all, the cockerel is ready.

You can make a jump rope for your child from plastic bags with your own hands. You will need to carefully cut thin strips and tie them together. In place of the handles, you can wrap electrical tape or adhesive tape.

There is also a technology for knitting polyethylene, which can be used to make unique handbags or even carpets. It all depends on desire. You can make different pom-poms.
