Bedtime story about Lucas the Reindeer. Read and listen

They looked for the judge all day and only found him in the evening. It was an old bear. He went to the village to get honey from the apiary for his young bear. Grumbling slightly, he nevertheless listened patiently to both the wolf and the deer. And after listening, he put his paw in his mouth and thought. But I couldn’t come up with anything.

It's me, the deer. But I did it by accident,” the deer spoke plaintively. - I was very hot. So I lay down to take a nap under the fig tree. I was just dozing off when suddenly something hit me on the nose. Yes, it hurts so much! I ran away. I didn't notice that pumpkin. My legs are entangled in the stem, I’m trying to pull! That's when the stem broke.

Meanwhile, the badshah had driven a deer and felt very thirsty. He circled the mountains on horseback for a long time - he kept looking for a spring somewhere. Finally I reached the foot of a high rock and saw water dripping from its top. The Badshah took a bowl out of his bag and began to collect water drop by drop. And so the cup was filled, and the badshah had already raised it to his mouth, when suddenly the falcon hit it with its wing - and all the water spilled.

I'm very sorry, but Lan is completely wrong. The horns, which she considers such a glorious weapon, are actually of little use, and they are hard to carry! They are only needed to decorate the head! So it turns out that my head serves as a support for the horns in the same way as the spreading leaves of a palm tree support its trunk. My neck is too short, and there is no strength in it; the enemy will be able to break it with one blow. As soon as I see the Tiger, I am neither alive nor dead. All the fur on me stands on end from fear. And if you pit me against the Tiger, then I will see no mercy. He will easily defeat me and devour me without a trace! The only one who can help you is the Bull.

What are you talking about, Buffalo! The cunning Kanchil is mistaken. I could somehow fight off other animals with my hooves, but I am no longer able to enter into a fight with the Tiger, who has sharp claws and fangs. Can I handle him? Where should I go? As for dexterity, in this you and I are approximately equal. And setting me against the Tiger is like forcing a small child to lay an adult on both shoulder blades. Here's my good advice: ask Deer for help. As I understand it, it is not difficult for him to defeat the Tiger - after all, the Deer has a long neck and branched horns. It will butt once and immediately pierce the Tiger right through! You won't have to butt a second time!

The deer ran, ran, ran - and finally stopped. He was very tired and lay down under a tree in the middle of a field covered with tall grass. Suddenly he saw a leech, which, arching its back, was crawling along a blade of grass. From time to time the leech stopped, raised its head as high as it could and turned it in all directions, as if trying to find a road or a place to move to.

In one distant forest with the magical name Tin-Zin, there lived a little deer with his mother. They lived amicably, but the Little Deer was disobedient and often violated his mother’s prohibitions.

One winter, Fawn and his friends - two little hares - went for a walk to their favorite edge, which was located at the other end of the forest. But on the way the friends had a wide frozen lake, on which they were strictly forbidden to walk. Friends would have to go around this lake, but the bunnies were lazy and did not want to do this. And one little bunny said:

- The ice is strong, we won’t fall through. I'll get to the other side in six leaps!

- And I’m at four! – picked up another bunny.

- Guys, don't! Let's go around this lake, in case the ice can't support us! – Little Deer tried to calm his friends down.

“No, Little Deer,” answered the bunnies, “now we must find out which of us is jumping further!”

And the little hares raced across the ice to the opposite shore. They did exactly five jumps each - and none of them won.

- Hey, Little Deer! - the bunnies shouted from the other side of the lake. -Why are you standing there? Run here, it's not scary at all!

The fawn did not want to seem like a coward to the bunnies and carefully walked across the ice.

- Khrya! – the front hoof fell under the ice, and the Fawn backed away, but it was not to be. - Khrya! - the ice cracked under the hind legs, and now the entire Fawn was floundering in the water. And the water is icy, brrr!

The little bunnies rushed to help the Fawn, but could not get him out. Then one little hare ran for help, and the second one stayed with a friend, so that the Fawn would not be so afraid to flounder in cold water alone.

Soon the king of the magical forest - the wise Elk, the mother of the Fawn and the beaver rescuers - came running to the lake. They pulled the poor thing out of the water and took him to the shore - he was completely frozen and trembling like an aspen leaf. The little bunnies quickly ran home, and the Little Deer and his mother also went home.

In the evening, the wise Elk came to them. The fawn was already completely warm and cheerful, but he was ashamed of his action.

– Aren’t children forbidden to walk on the ice alone? - asked Elk Fawn. “Didn’t you know that it’s dangerous to go out on a frozen lake?” You could have drowned! - he cursed.

- I... I tried to dissuade them! - the Little Deer tried to justify himself. “But I didn’t want them to call me a coward...

- Oh, you! Is it better this way? – Moose shook his head.

“No,” agreed the Little Deer. - Not better at all.

– And your mother was so worried! Aren't you ashamed to worry your mother? – Moose frowned.

“It’s a shame,” sighed the Little Deer. - Mom, I will never again do what I shouldn’t do!

Mom hugged the Little Deer.

- I hope you learned your lesson? – she asked.

- Yes, yes, I got it! It was scary...” assured the Little Deer.

“Okay,” nodded the wise Elk. - Rest, baby. And I still need to talk to your friends. Although they acted outrageously, they behaved bravely and did not abandon their friend in trouble! But they will get it too,” Elk winked at the Fawn and left.

Since then, the Little Deer and the bunnies - and other children, taught by their bitter experience - have never again violated prohibitions, much less walked on thin ice– everyone now knew how this could end.

Lullaby - Fairy tales for children free

Whether it happened or not, there lived a very rich king in one village. One day the king says to his hunters:

Go hunting and kill the first animal you come across.

The hunters went, they walked, they saw a queen deer in the clearing. They just pointed their guns to kill her on the orders of the king, and they looked - and a boy was sucking on her udder. The child saw the gun, threw the udder, grabbed the deer by the neck, hugged it, caressed it. The hunters were surprised.

They took the boy with them, brought him to the king, and told him everything.

And that king had a son, the same age as this boy.

The king baptized them both together, and named the child found in the forest Fawn.

The Fawn grows up with the Tsar's son, they sleep in the same room, and the same nurse feeds them.

Who grows for years, and they for days. They became twelve years old.

The king rejoices that his two sons are growing up.

Once the boys went out into the field with arrows. The king's son shot an arrow, and then an old woman was carrying water in a jug, and that arrow knocked off the handle of the jug.

The old woman turned and said:

I will not curse you - you are the only son, but let love for Elena the Beautiful sink into your heart.

The little deer was surprised:

What is she saying?

And from that day on, the king’s son only thinks about this Elena the Beautiful. Love has sunk into his heart and does not give him peace.

What to do? Three weeks have passed. The young man walks around half-dead, his love for someone he has never seen is killing him.

The Little Deer told him:

Let your brother die if he doesn’t bring you that Elena the Beautiful.

He went to the king and said:

Father, tell the blacksmith to forge me iron calamans and an iron bow and arrows. I need to go in search of Elena the Beautiful.

The father agreed. They forged an iron bow and arrows weighing five pounds, and iron calamans for Olenenk, and he and the king’s son set off on the road.

The Fawn said to his adoptive father goodbye:

Don't be afraid, father. Where the Fawn is, you have nothing to fear. Wait for us for two years. We will return, so with glory, but if not, know that we are no longer alive.

They are coming, they are coming. We entered a dense, impenetrable forest. They see a high rock in the forest, on a rock huge house. There is a wonderful garden in front of the house. And in that house all the five-headed and nine-headed devas live.

The king's son said to Olenenok:

I'm tired, brother, let's rest here a little.

“Okay,” says the Deer. The king's son lay down and dozed off. The Deer said:

You lie down, rest, and I will go to the garden and bring you the best fruits.

They are not like brothers, like father and son, - this is how the Fawn takes care of his friend.

The Little Deer entered the garden, approached the best apple tree, and picked the fruits.

A nine-headed deva suddenly jumped out and shouted:

Who are you, how dare you enter my garden? Here, even a bird doesn’t fly in the sky and an ant doesn’t crawl on the ground, so everyone is afraid of me!

I am the Deer! - the young man shouted. The dev backed away. He only growled out of anger. The devas knew that as soon as the deer’s son was born into the world, that would be the end of them.

The devas got scared, ran away, hid in all directions.

The Fawn killed everyone, only one five-headed deva survived - he hid in the attic.

And the king's son sleeps in the shade.

Fawn cleared the house of devas and went to wake up his brother. And the deva’s house remained to them, and all the deva’s wealth.

The brothers are walking around the garden, having fun.

And the five-headed deva - Babakhanjomi - sits in the attic, trembling.

He finally made up his mind, crawled out of his corner, went downstairs and said to the Fawn:

Don't kill me, I'll be your brother. Let all our wealth be yours. The Fawn smiled. Then this five-headed deva asked:

And what kind of need drives you, that you walk around the world, visiting villages and cities? The Deer replied:

We have one thing to do. If we fail, I will destroy you, just like all these devas! - And he told him: - We are looking for Elena the Beautiful, and you must look for her with us.

Babakhanjomi had a house, he put it on his back and carried it wherever needed. Dev said:

So sit down in this house and let’s go look for Elena the Beautiful, but this is not an easy task. There are too many hunters for her.

We sat down and drove off. We drove like this for three months and reached one river.

“I’m tired,” the king’s son says to Olenenok, “let’s rest.”

And Babakhanjomi is even more tired. The brothers left the house, sat down by the river, and rested.

We wanted to drink, we drank water, but it was salty.

The little deer was surprised:

Why is this water salty?

“And this is not water, but tears,” says Babakhanjomi. “There lives a five-headed deva up here, he also loves Elena the Beautiful, but he can’t get her.” He burns from this love, like on fire. And his tears flow like a river.

The Fawn was surprised and said:

So I wouldn’t be a Fawn if I didn’t get her for my brother and marry them!

They went to that deva, and the Little Deer said:

What, Dev, do you love Elena the Beautiful very much?

The dev is crying, shedding tears. The Fawn promised:

Well, we'll show it to you when we take it home.

Several more months have passed. They are on their way, and all their food is gone. They reached a small forest. Everyone still doesn’t know anything about Elena the Beautiful.

The little deer says:

I’ll go, I can see a village in the distance, I’ll ask around, maybe they know where to look for Elena the Beautiful.

Babakhanjomi and his brother stayed in the house. The fawn went.

He sees an old woman in the shack and asks:

Mother, for the love of all mothers, tell me, do you know where to look for Helen the Beautiful and in which castle she lives?

The old lady was surprised. She knows how difficult it is to get to Elena the Beautiful, she is amazed at how simply the young man talks about it.

This is a very difficult matter, son,” said the old woman, “you don’t know, apparently.” King Wind loves her, tracks her down, wants to kidnap her. So they keep this beauty behind nine locks, and she does not see the ray of the sun, they are so afraid that they will kidnap her.

She still told where the castle of Helen the Beautiful was located. There is a large garden there and a high fence around it, and in the very depths of the garden there is a castle, where Elena the Beautiful and her relatives live.

How to get there? - asks the Deer. -My brother wants to take her as his wife.

“Oh, this is a difficult matter,” says the old woman. “She has many suitors; they won’t give her up for your brother.” She sets three tasks for the grooms; if they complete them, they will get married, but if they don’t, they will crush the young man into dust.

The Fawn smiled. What will she have in mind that we can’t do? And he went to where he left his brother and Babakhanjomi.

The dev took his house with the Fawn and the king's son on his back and went.

So we got to the castle.

The Fawn went forward.

And the mother of Elena the Beautiful is a sorceress, and she can both kill and revive a person.

She saw the Fawn, and he was such a fine fellow and so handsome, you could look at him.

Who are you, what kind of person? And what brought you here?

The Deer said:

I came as a friend, not an enemy.

What do you want?

I want to take your Elena the Beautiful as my daughter-in-law.

And Elena has three brothers. All three were hunting in the forest at that time.

“Stay here,” says Elena the Beautiful’s mother. -Wait for the brothers, come to an agreement, everything will work out.

The Fawn is sitting in the garden, waiting for his brothers.

And the king’s son and Babakhanjomi are waiting for him, afraid that King Wind will grapple with the Fawn and destroy him. They decided to go explore.

As it got dark, the brothers of Helen the Beautiful appeared. One carries a whole deer, another a roe deer, the third a whole tree trunk for kindling.

They smelled something alien. Ask the mother:

Who is it here?

He came with good things, children, don’t touch him,” says the mother.

Meanwhile, Babakhanjomi brought the king's son. The king's son is standing, waiting for what will happen.

The brothers sat down to skin a deer. The Fawn came up. While they were skinning one leg, the Fawn skinned the whole deer once and again. The brothers of Helen the Beautiful were surprised.

We sat down to dinner. The Fawn grabs huge pieces of meat. The brothers marvel.

We had dinner and went to bed.

Morning has come, and Elena the Beautiful says:

He will complete three tasks - I will become his wife, but if not, it will not happen.

They took the king's son to the beauty. She speaks to him, but he stands silent and makes no sound. And it was the mother of Elena the Beautiful who spoke to him, stupefied him, the unfortunate man does not understand anything, he stands like a stone.

“Go away,” the beauty chased away the king’s son.

He came out as if drunk. The Fawn ran up and asked:

Well, what was she talking about?

I don’t know, brother, I didn’t understand anything.

The Little Deer got angry. I went again to ask the beauty to receive the groom for the second time.

She agreed, but the groom remained silent the second time, and left her as if in a dream.

The Fawn told Babakhanjomi about everything. They came to an agreement, begged the beauty to call the groom a third time, and again he stood there, petrified, and the old woman spoke to him again. Babakhanjomi came up, took out the necessary letters that would save them from a conspiracy, and threw them into the room where Elena the Beautiful was talking to her groom.

The walls cracked, the king's son woke up. When he sobered up, he saw Elena the Beautiful, ran up, grabbed her hand and shouted:

You are mine, mine!

The Fawn rejoiced, and Elena the Beautiful rejoiced. She knew that her mother was persuading the suitors not to give her away in marriage.

The bride and groom come out and are having fun.

The next morning, the bride and groom are walking in the garden, and the Little Deer is nearby, looking at them, not being overjoyed.

King Wind saw the beauty, rushed like a whirlwind, flew at the groom, spun him around, spun him around and threw him to the ground. Then he grabbed the beauty and took her into the sky.

The Fawn saw his brother lifeless, almost died of grief, and forgot about Elena the Beautiful. Then I just remembered what that kind old woman told him about King Wind, but it was too late.

The Fawn sits and mourns his brother. "

The mother of Elena the Beautiful came up and said:

Don’t cry, I’ll revive him, but Elena was kidnapped, and I don’t know how to help him.

She brought out a handkerchief, passed it over the young man’s face, he came to life and stood up. He rubs his eyes and says:

How long have I been sleeping?

He looked around - there was no Elena the Beautiful, he began to be killed, to cry: what to do now, what to do? The Fawn went to Babakhanjomi:

King Wind stole our bride, we must recapture her at all costs.

Die Babakhanjomi if he doesn’t help you, says the deva. - Look in my right ear, you will find a saddle there, take it out, and in the left - a bridle and a whip, bridle me, and we will go.

The Fawn left the king's son in the house of Helen the Beautiful, bridled Babakhanjomi, tightened nine girths, and put nine bits in his mouth.

Sit down now, says Babakhanjomi. - Hit me with the whip three times, so as to rip off nine strips of skin, I will fly, just be careful not to be a coward!

The Little Deer said goodbye to the king’s son:

Sit and wait, while we go in search of Elena the Beautiful.

He jumped on the deva and pulled him out with a whip three times, so much so that he actually tore off nine strips of skin. The deva groaned, whistled, hit the ground, rushed up, broke through the clouds and flew. They flew across the sky and flew to one field.

There is an old woman in the field. Little Deer asks her:

Where does King Wind live here? The old woman wailed:

Oh son, what brings you here? If he feels the human spirit, he will destroy us all! How long ago did you dare to appear here? He recently brought a girl, a beauty unseen under the sun, such a whirlwind, such a groan and a whistle - everything was falling apart.

It’s this beauty that I came for,” says the Fawn, “take me to him.”

“Okay,” said the old woman. She herself is trembling, barely breathing from fear.

The Fawn got down from the deva, hid a saddle, a bridle and a whip in his ears, and went with the old woman.

The dev remained, walking around, looking around, taking charge, and he took all the chickens from King Wind.

The old woman brought the Little Deer to the castle of the Wind King and left.

The king went hunting that morning, and Helen the Beautiful was sitting alone in the castle. He sits crying.

The Little Deer came up, kicked the door, knocked it down, and entered.

How did you get here? - says the beauty. - And what about that unfortunate man? - asks about

The brother-in-law and daughter-in-law hugged and kissed. The Fawn told everything and said:

So I came to take you away.

Oh, you can't take me away! Both will be destroyed by the cursed King Wind.

The Fawn went to the old woman and said:

Teach me how to take the beauty away from here, how to destroy the King of the Wind. The old woman said:

Go and tell the beauty: when he leaves, let her decorate one corner of the house with flowers and greet him sadly, as if she misses him.

And so they did. When King Wind went hunting, Elena the Beautiful got up, picked flowers, fussed with them like a child, tidied up and decorated one corner of the house. The king returned in the evening, was surprised and asked:

Why are you fiddling with flowers like a child?

What should I do? - she says. - You're not at home, and I'm having fun. If only you would tell me where your soul is, things wouldn’t be so boring.

Why do you need my soul, beauty?

How why? I’ll know if I can even caress her while I’m waiting for you. Tell me, because I am your wife. King Wind said:

Okay, I'll say it if so. He took her to the roof and said:

Over there in the clearing, do you see a deer? Three people mow his grass, but he alone eats all the grass, and the mowers cannot keep up with him. There are three boxes in the head of this deer, and in these boxes is my soul.

And no one will kill that deer? - asks the beauty.

But there is no way to kill him if you don’t take my bow and arrows. Each of those three boxes contains a bird. If I kill one bird I will be petrified up to my knees, another I will be petrified up to my waist, and the third I will die. Do you understand now where my soul is?

It's morning. King Wind left on his business, and the beauty took his bow and arrows and gave them to the Little Deer, telling him how to kill the king.

The Little Deer was delighted, took a bow and arrows, went, shot an arrow, killed a deer, ran, cut off its head, and took out the boxes.

As soon as the deer fell, the Wind sensed something unkind. He hurried home.

The Deer tore off the head of the first bird - the King of the Wind lost his legs.

He also tore off the head of the second bird - King Wind grew heavy and barely made it to the threshold. He reaches out and shouts to Elena the Beautiful:

Betrayed me?!

He wants to climb the stairs, but the Fawn has already grabbed the third bird.

Here's to you for your villainy! - he shouted to King Wind and tore off the head of the third bird.

King Wind fell down dead, and the Fawn approached Helen the Beautiful:

Well, let's go.

Go, says Elena the Beautiful, go through nine rooms, in the tenth the horse of the King of the Wind is tied up. This is such a horse, not a horse - a storm, let's sit on it and fly.

The Fawn took that horse and called Babakhanjomi. He took out all the equipment from his ears, sat on the deva himself, and sat Elena the Beautiful on that storm horse. They flew off.

They brought Elena the Beautiful to the groom. We celebrated the wedding.

Everyone thanks Olenenok.

And the Tsar Father cried his eyes out and dressed his entire kingdom in black. He grieves and cries over the death of the fellows. I really don’t expect to see them alive.

The fellows in the bride's family had a feast, Babakhanjomi put his house on his back, and off we went.

They drive past that deva who cried a whole river of tears for Helen the Beautiful.

The little deer says:

What, Dev, do you want to look at Elena the Beautiful?

Eh, my lord Fawn, who will let me look at her?

Look, says the Little Deer. As the deva looked at the beauty, he became blind from her beauty, instantly melted away and gave up his spirit. Let's move on. Spent the night in the palace of those nine-headed

When the Tsar finds out that his son is bringing Elena the Beautiful, he will send him a gun as a gift. The gun will fire and kill him. And whoever overhears us and tells us about it will turn to stone and die.

So be it,” confirmed the other two pigeons.

And the second dove says:

When the king-father finds out that his son is riding, he will go out and bring him a horse, and the son will sit on the horse, fall and die.

So be it,” the pigeons confirmed again and added: “And whoever overhears us and says, will turn to stone and die.”

And the third says:

And also: when they arrive, the gveleshapi will come at night and strangle both - the king’s son and Helen the Beautiful, and whoever overhears us and tells us will turn to stone and die.

They said and flew away.

Little Deer hears all this. Silent.

It's morning. Everyone entered the deva's house and drove off.

The king found out that his son was traveling safe and sound and carrying Elena the Beautiful. He sent him a gun, and the Fawn rushed forward, grabbed the gun and threw it far away, not giving it to the groom.

The king’s son was upset: “My father sent me a gun and showed me honor, but the Fawn threw it far away.”

The father sent his horse to his son. He returned the Fawn and the horse.

The king's son was upset, but what should he do?

They arrived, their father met them and greeted them.

We celebrated the wedding.

The Fawn came out and released Babakhanjomi.

Thanks for your service. Go now and live in freedom.

The dev left. And the Little Deer made his way into the young couple’s bedchamber, stood outside the door, and waited. They fell asleep, but the Fawn does not sleep. And how can he sleep? He stands on guard, holds his sword at the ready, because he knows what awaits his friend.

At midnight Gveleshapi appeared. It’s sneaking around, its mouth is already open, it’s about to rush at the young people and strangle them. The Deer swung his sword and killed the gveleshapi. He chopped it into pieces and threw it under the bed.

It's morning.

The young people got up and don’t know what happened at night.

They came to clean the bedchamber and saw pieces of carrion lying under the bed of the young people. The king became furious: who is laughing at us?

They began to judge and punish. They put all the blame on Olenenok. Even on the way, he showed disrespect to the king’s son: he didn’t give him a gun and sent away his horse. He probably laughed at him even now.

Deer says:

I wished only the best for you. Don’t do it so that you can live and be happy, but I die.

No, they are angry with him, demanding to know what it is and where it comes from!

Well,” says the Fawn, “I’ll tell you, but don’t let it be a burden to you that I worked so hard for your happiness, but you are ruining me.” That night, as we were resting in the field,” the Fawn began, “three doves flew in, sat on a branch and began to talk. One said: when they arrive, the Tsar-Father will send a gun to his son, shoot the gun and kill him. Whoever betrays us will be petrified.

The Little Deer said this and turned to stone up to his knees.

Everyone understood and asked him:

Don't say any more, don't! “No,” said the Deer, “say it until the end.” And the second dove said: the king-father will send a horse, the son will fall from the horse and be killed... He said and turned to stone from the waist down. “Don’t talk,” everyone asks, “don’t!” “No,” says the Fawn, “you should have believed me, but now it’s too late.” And the third dove said: at night, when the young people enter the bedchamber, gveleshapi will come and eat them...

The Little Deer said this and became completely petrified. Father and son are crying, killing themselves, and what

am I burning to help?

And Elena the Beautiful walks too heavy. But it just doesn’t make the king’s son happy. “No,” he thinks, “I must return life true friend, no matter what it costs me."

He got up, put on his iron calamans, took an iron staff in his hands and went.

He walks around and asks everyone:

How to revive my petrified friend? He got tired and sat down near a forest to rest for a while. Suddenly an old man comes out of the thicket. His son also asked the king how to save his friend. The old man said:

Where are you going? His salvation is at your home. The king's son does not understand what salvation is. And the old man says:

You don’t know that you have a son, a golden-haired boy. This is the salvation of your friend. Kill him in the cradle, boil him, pour that water on his petrified friend - he will come to life.

The king's son returns.

“Well,” he thinks, “there will still be children, but I won’t find a friend or brother.”

He came and saw his son lying in the cradle, like a moon shining. The boy’s golden curls shine just like that.

Told his wife:

Elena the Beautiful, they taught me this way. She also agreed:

Just to revive our Fawn.

They did everything as the old man ordered.

The Fawn moved, opened his eyes, and came to life.

The next morning, Elena the Beautiful approached his cradle - she is a mother, after all, her heart aches for her son, even though she sacrificed him - she sees something moving in the cradle. I opened the curtain, and there was a living child.

Everyone was happy.

They slaughtered a cow and fifteen rams whole on spits and roasted them. They feasted for fourteen days without clearing the table.

Once upon a time, far away in the Far North, there lived Winter. Winter lived in the palace. The palace was not made of stone, but of ice. The entire ice sparkled like multi-colored stones. The light was extraordinary, magical. It sparkled both day and night, shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow, and this radiance could be seen far, far away. People called it the Northern Lights.
At that time on the shore of the great Arctic Ocean Once upon a time there lived a family. This family had three children: two boys and a girl. The girl's name was Elika. She grew up obedient and kind child. And then one day, when the older brothers and their father went hunting, and Elika stayed at home with her mother, someone knocked on the window. Elika opened the door. A fawn stood on the threshold of the house. He had sad eyes and was shaking all over from the cold. The girl let him into the house. When the fawn warmed up a little, he suddenly spoke human voice. The fawn asked for help. He fell behind his mother deer. The girl asked him how this could happen. The kid told her that it happened during a strong snowstorm. A snow sleigh with Winter appeared. Winter forcefully dragged the fawn into them, and they rushed off in an unknown direction. Only thanks to the tall spruce tree that grew near Elika’s house, the sleigh caught on its top, and the fawn fell out. Winter did not notice this and rushed off into the distance. Elika decided to help the fawn. She quickly got dressed and went outside. They ran through deep snowdrifts towards the forest. Frightened hares ran out to meet them. Interrupting each other, they said that they were playing in a clearing when a white snow sleigh drove up to them. The beautiful Winter came out of the sleigh in a white snow coat, and there was a breath of cold from her. Winter asked the hares what they were doing in her domain. The hares were shaking so much from the cold that they could not answer. Winter invited them to warm up and ride on her sleigh. But the hares rushed away from the fierce Winter. Elika asked the rabbits if they had seen a deer in the forest. They answered: "No." The girl said goodbye to the bunnies, and she and the fawn ran on.
It was already dark when a light appeared in the distance. They came closer and saw a small gnome. He held a flashlight in his hands and was not afraid at all. The dwarf said hello and asked who they were and what they were doing in such a wilderness. Elika and the little deer told him about the mother deer. The gnome sheltered them in his house, gave them drink delicious tea With wild berries and put him to bed. And in the morning they all went together to look for the mother deer.
When they left the house, thick sticky snow began to fall, and Winter tried to stop them. But the friends were not afraid and kept walking and moving forward. Halfway along the way they met a wolf. He noticed a fawn and wanted to grab it, but Elika stood up for the baby and told the wolf why they had come to such a distance. The wolf turned out to be very kind and decided to help them. He sniffed the fawn and followed the trail. They walked until sunset and reached the edge of the forest. A small herd of deer was grazing at the edge of the forest, among them was a mother deer. She saw her son and ran to meet him. The fawn also saw its mother and was very happy. Then the doe thanked her friends for their help.
The day was coming to an end, and Elika had to go back home. Her relatives were waiting for her at home and were very worried. It was a long way to the house, and the wolf offered Elika and the dwarf a ride. Elika thanked the wolf, and they went to the gnome's house. There they warmed up and refreshed themselves, then moved on to Elika’s house. A bright light shone in the sky and showed them the way home.
Thus ended the winter adventure of the brave girl and the little deer.

Once upon a time there lived a poor forester. His wife died, leaving two children, Evichka and Janik. The forester married for the second time. Oh, what the poor children have suffered from their hated stepmother! They didn’t hear a kind word, didn’t see a kind look, every single day she scolded and punished them.

In those days, people lived poorly, and even the foresters had a hard time.

Sometimes there was not a piece of bread in the house for three days.

One morning the forester asks:

- Wife! What are we going to feed the children today?

- How should I know? - she answers. – Go into the forest, maybe you’ll bring something. The forester went into the forest. It was already getting dark, but he only caught one bird.

“Get the bird,” he says to his wife, “and cook it for dinner.”

She cooked the bird, everyone got a piece, they licked their lips, but did not eat their fill. The next day the forester asks again:

- What are we going to eat? And the wife snapped:

- Why do you keep whining and moaning? Better go hunting in the forest! The forester went hunting. This time he was lucky enough to catch a hare. He was delighted, brought the loot to his wife, ordered it to be fried for dinner, and then returned to the forest, maybe he would be lucky again.

The stepmother skinned the hare, was about to put it on a baking sheet, and decided to run off into the water. While I was walking, a cat came out of nowhere! She grabbed the hare and was gone. The stepmother returned, saw what had happened, and almost dropped dead.

I started thinking about what to feed my husband? And even his disgusting children? I’ll kill them and tell my husband that they ran into the forest and never returned.

She went out into the yard and shouted:

“Children, gather some firewood and we’ll fry the meat!” The children collect brushwood, the sister says to the brother:

– Who knows why the stepmother needed brushwood!

“Fry the meat,” the brother answers.

“No, I heard her muttering: “Today it’s the boy’s turn!” Apparently she’s up to something evil!”

- Oh, sister, I'm afraid!

- Don't be afraid, brother! When we get home, I will ask my stepmother to comb my hair. And you grab my ribbon and quickly run out of the house with it! I’m behind you, so we’ll run away.

The children brought brushwood, their stepmother praised them: well done, they say, they did it quickly. Evichka asks her to braid her hair, and she replies:

- First, put water in a large cauldron!

Evichka applied water and ran to the attic, where she had two wild apples hidden. She took the apples and returned to her stepmother.

The stepmother unbraided Evichka's braid, put the ribbon aside, and began combing her hair. Then Yannick jumped into the room, grabbed the ribbon and rushed out of the house! Evichka runs after him and shouts: “Give me back my ribbon! Give me back my ribbon!

The stepmother waited a little and ran out into the yard after them, looked, and they had already run far away. She realized that the children had deceived her, she became furious, screaming at the top of her lungs:

- May you turn into the beast from whose footprints you drink water!

Brother and sister are running through the mountains, through the valleys, wherever their eyes look. The sun is high and hot. Yannick began to be tormented by thirst. He sees a bear's track, rain water has settled in it.

- Evichka-sister, I’m thirsty!

- Oh, don’t drink, brother, don’t drink! After all, this is a bear trail. If you get drunk, you'll turn into a bear cub! Better eat a wild apple and quench your thirst.

Yannick ate an apple and quenched his thirst.

They walked and walked and looked - wolf tracks. Yannick is even more thirsty.

- Evichka-sister, I’m thirsty. Let me drink from the puddle!

- Oh, don't drink, brother, don't drink! If you drink from the wolf's trail, you will become a wolf cub! Better eat an apple! - asks the sister.

Yannick ate an apple and quenched his thirst.

- Evichka-sister, give me another apple?

- Oh, brother, my brother, I don’t have an apple anymore, be patient a little, there’s a well nearby!

They see a deer hoof, and there is water in it.

- Evichka-sister, I can’t stand it anymore, I’ll drink from a deer’s hoof!

- Oh, brother, don’t drink, you’ll become a deer!

Before she had time to look back, Janik had already clung to the hoof, drank, and immediately turned into a fawn.

Evichka saw it, broke her white hands, and burst into bitter tears: “Oh, my unfortunate brother, what should I do with you?” The dogs will attack and tear you to pieces! The hunters will come and kill you!

Evichka sheds tears, and the fawn wanders sadly nearby. They haven’t walked even a dozen steps, they see a spring, clear as glass. The girl drank some spring water, and immediately a golden star shone on her forehead and her hair turned golden. They walk further, in front of them is a clearing, in the clearing there is a haystack.

“Here we, brother deer, will stay to live,” says the sister, “here the stepmother will not find us!”

They huddled in the hay from the rain and wind and whiled away the night. And when the sun rose, Evichka sat down on the hay, combing her golden hair, and she burst into tears and said:

If my dear mother knew that I was sitting in the hay, scratching my golden hair, she would feel sorry for me!

They began to live in the forest, the fawn was nibbling the grass. Evichka collects berries and roots. Much time has passed since then.

A young king went to this forest to hunt.

One day Evichka is sitting in the hay, combing her golden hair, when suddenly a fawn runs as fast as she can, followed by a dog. The fawn huddled in the hay, and the dog saw Evichka, wagged its tail and rushed back to its owner.

The king threw a piece of meat to the dog, the dog grabbed the meat, took it to the girl and returned to its owner! He gives her meat again, the dog again drags the meat somewhere. For the third time, the king throws meat to the dog, and he himself goes after it. He sees a girl sitting on the hay.

-What are you doing here? – the king was surprised.

Evichka told him everything, the king listened and asked:

-Will you come with me?

- No, I can’t, because you’re ordering to kill a deer! - Evichka answers.

“Don’t be afraid,” the king reassures her. - No one will touch your fawn. It will be good for both of you!

Evichka liked it kind words young king, she did not resist, got into the carriage with her little deer brother and went to the palace.

In the palace they treated Evichka kindly and did not spare anything for her. And the brother deer was not offended.

Every day Evichka has new outfits, one richer than the other, teachers come to her, teach her royal sciences.

Evichka blossomed like a poppy, and as she began to age, the king took her as his wife. Before the wedding, he swore to his young wife that he would never harm the fawn.

Whether things will be good or bad - who knows!

There lived an old hag in that castle; she harbored a fierce grudge against the king because he married Evichka, and not her daughter.

The king was getting ready to go to war. He ordered the old woman to serve the queen faithfully; she was expecting a child soon.

Was born handsome boy with a gold star in his forehead. The queen fell ill, lay in bed asking for a drink, and the old woman said to her:

- There is a river flowing under the window, bend down and drink!

- How can I bend over, because I have no strength!

“What do I care,” the old woman hisses, “if you don’t want it, don’t, I’m not your servant!”

The queen was completely tormented by thirst, she grabbed the window sill, bent over, the old woman jumped up and pushed her into the water, and put her daughter in bed. But she didn’t touch the little boy with the golden star on his forehead.

The queen did not drown, but turned into a golden duck and began to swim along the river with other ducks.

A boy without a mother is screaming and struggling, and there is no way for the old woman to rock him to sleep or calm him down. Suddenly a fawn runs into the chambers, puts up its horns, “put it down, child,” he shows, “I’ll rock it to sleep.”

The old woman put the baby deer on the horns and shouted:

- Get out of here! May you both break your neck!

A fawn wanders along the shore and sees ducks swimming along the river. He stopped and asked:

- Gray ducks! Where is my son's mother? Where is the orphan's birthplace? And the ducks answer:

– Don’t go far, look on the river!

And then a golden duck flies up to the shore, shakes its wings, turns into a queen, takes its child in its arms and says:

- My son, dear, dear son, I will feed you and bathe you. She fed, bathed, swaddled, and put the fawn back on her horns. And then she turned into a golden duck and flew away to the river.

This went on for a long time: every day the fawn carried her son to his mother, he grew by leaps and bounds and became more and more beautiful.

And soon the king sent a message from the war to expect him to come home. The old woman tells her daughter to lie down in bed and pretend to be sick. And when the king returns from the war, he orders him to ask for reindeer meat for dinner.

The king arrived from the war, saw his son and was delighted. And when I looked at the one lying in bed, I was stunned! Where did her beauty go, where is her golden hair and the star in her forehead? But the old woman persuades the king: illness, they say, does not make anyone look good, but the golden star and golden hair passed from the queen to the child. The old woman’s daughter lies in bed and screams in a bad voice:

“Give me some deer meat, tell me to slaughter the fawn!”

“How can this be,” the king marvels, “after all, you yourself took an oath from me not to give offense to the fawn!” And now you order him to be stabbed?

And she screams more and more:

- Oh, I want deer meat! Order the fawn to be slaughtered!

The king had to agree. The knives are already being sharpened, the water is already being heated in the cauldrons, the end of the fawn is about to come.

But then the boy woke up and began to cry. The fawn heard it, came running, wagging its horns.

The old woman calms the child this way and that, but he still doesn’t subside. And the fawn keeps shaking its horns. The king is surprised, and the old woman explains: the fawn, they say, wants to rock the child. The king allowed. The fawn accepted the child by its horns and rushed headlong away. The king was afraid that something might happen to his son and followed him. The fawn ran to the Danube. He saw ducks and shouted:

- Blue-winged ducks, where is the son’s mother, where is the orphan’s birthplace? And the ducks answer:

– Don’t go far, look at the dam!

Then the golden duck flew in and turned into beautiful woman, took the child in her arms and said:

“My dear son, my dear son, I will feed you, bathe you, and change you!”

She hugs him, kisses him, says:

– Is your dear father doing something? If only he knew, if only he knew how the evil woman pushed me into the Danube!

The king heard, jumped out of the bushes, pressed his wife to his chest, and she turned into a golden duck, she wants to fly away, but the king holds her tightly:

“I won’t let you in, I won’t let you in,” he shouts, “until the evil spell falls off you!”

Before he could finish speaking, the duck turned into a golden-haired woman, the deer into a stately young man, and in his arms was a child.

Happy and joyful they went to the palace. The king hid his brother-in-law, the queen and her son, and the evil old woman decided that the fawn and the child were missing, and she was happy.

The next day the king orders guests to be convened for the holiday. The old woman cannot feel her feet under her with joy: her daughter has become a queen and sits next to the king at the head of the table!

The guests feast, they eat expensive dishes, and they drink good wine. But then the king rises and makes this speech:

– I would like to ask you, my guests, one question. Tell me, what kind of punishment did the villain deserve, since he wanted to destroy two innocent people and deprive two more of their happiness?

The old hag hastens to answer:

- Push him into a barrel of nails and high mountain lower! What else?

Suddenly they swing open side doors and the queen with the child and a handsome handsome fellow enter the hall!

Here the king told the guests how it happened. And he proved her guilt to the old hag.

They pushed the evil old woman and her daughter into a barrel and lowered them down the mountain.

The king planted right hand the queen, on the left - her brother, and they continued to feast and have fun all together. And now, I suppose, they are having fun, and rejoicing, since they have not yet died.
