How to play GW tiger p. G.W

Geschützwagen Tiger(from German Geschützwagen - carriage and German Tiger - tiger) - experienced German self-propelled 170 mm howitzer. The decision to create heavy self-propelled guns for artillery support was adopted in June 1942. Work on the car was carried out by Krupp. The concept of the self-propelled guns implied the possibility of installing three different artillery systems: 170 mm 17 cm Kanone 72 cannon, 210 mm 21 cm Morser howitzer and 305 mm Skoda GrW L/16 mortar, due to which the vehicle received a rather long official name Geschützwagen “Tiger” fur 17 cm K72(Sf), fur 21 cm Mrs 18/1(Sf) und 30.5 cm GrW Sf I-606/9. A similar concept was used as the basis for the Soviet heavy self-propelled gun Su-14.

Research and upgrade of GW-Tiger

GW-Tiger can be researched after Gw-Panther for 166,000 experience

By purchasing the GW-Tiger self-propelled gun, you move to level 7 of the German artillery tree. To start the game on GW-Tiger with maximum efficiency, install previously researched modules on it. These could be the FuG 12 radio and engines: Maybach HL 210 P 30 and Maybach HL 230 P 45, which are being studied on VK 3001 (H) and VK 3601 (H). First of all, it is recommended to study the chassis of the GW-Tiger-Ketten Ausf. B for 16940 experience. It will increase the carrying capacity and allow you to install all the necessary modules, as well as a top-end weapon. Then the research can be directed towards the 21cm mortar Mrs 18/1(Sf) for 67500 experience. This is one of the best tier 7 self-propelled guns in the game. Its projectiles have splash damage of 7 squares around the point of impact and cause significant damage to heavy equipment.

Combat effectiveness of GW-Tiger

GW-Tiger- very effective self-propelled guns. This is due to low maneuverability and long reload times, but to a greater extent However, with the fact that the art predecessor Gw-Panther has a completely different effective playstyle, so you actually have to learn to play all over again. On the other hand, if you understand this tank, learn to converge in advance, change position in time, then the enemies will be unpleasantly surprised by their losses from each of your shots.

Advantages of GW-Tiger

  • High damage from 210 mm mortar shells
  • Large radius of dispersion of fragments of HE shells
  • High (for self-propelled guns) durability

Disadvantages of GW-Tiger

  • The large size of self-propelled guns makes camouflage more difficult
  • Low maneuverability
  • Very small horizontal aiming angles
  • Long mixing

Playing style GW-Tiger very much reminiscent of the Grille - the first thing that catches your eye is the small horizontal aiming angle, which sharply contrasts with the angle of the GW-Panther. We have to get used to this inconvenience again. However, unlike Grill, who had good, but rather average damage, GW-Tiger can easily destroy any tank up to level 8 (and often 9) with one hit, and inflicts critical injuries on level 10 tanks.

History of the creation of GW-Tiger

The base chassis for the self-propelled guns was the chassis of a heavy tank PzKpfw VIB Tiger II, which has been slightly redesigned - lengthened with the addition of another roller. Engine Maybach HL 230 P 30, 650 hp. located in the front part of the hull. Design maximum speed The self-propelled gun reached 35 km/h. The armor protected only from shrapnel and rifle and machine gun fire.

Weight Self-propelled gun GW-Tiger was supposed to reach 58 tons, the crew of the vehicle included 7 people. Initially, it was planned to provide the possibility of all-round firing, but further developments showed that such a requirement was unrealistic; as a result, the horizontal guidance angle was 5 degrees in both directions. If necessary, the gun could be detached from the chassis and moved back onto a special rotating platform, providing all-round firing.

Geschützwagen Tiger (from German Geschützwagen - carriage and German Tiger - tiger) is an experienced German self-propelled 170 mm howitzer. The decision to create a heavy self-propelled gun for artillery support was made in June 1942. Work on the car was carried out by Krupp. The self-propelled gun concept implied the possibility of installing four different artillery systems on one base chassis: a 170-mm 17-cm K.Mrs.Laf cannon, a 210-mm 21-cm Mrs.18 howitzer, as well as 305 mm and 420 mm super-heavy mortars Skoda (30 .5-cm Gr.W; 40-cm s.Gr.W), due to which the vehicle received the rather long official name Geschützwagen VI fuer 17-cm K.Mrs.Laf(Sf), fuer 21-cm Mrs.18 /1(Sf) und 30.5-Gr.W (Sf) I-606/9. A similar concept was used as the basis for the Soviet heavy self-propelled gun SU-14 (1939).

The order of studying the modules:

After purchase, if possible (if they are open on other tanks), you should install the FuG 12 radio station and the Maybach HL 210 P30 and Maybach HL 230 P45 engines. These engines are unlocked on the VK 3001 (H) and VK 3601 (H) tanks.
- in any case, then we open the top-end chassis G.W. Tiger verstärkteketten. The chassis will make it possible to install all the modules and, most importantly, a top-end weapon.
- then we install the top gun and begin to feel our art for real.
- if you didn’t have engines to begin with, then we’ll make our game a little more comfortable by pumping them up.
- Well, if there was no radio station, then we take it.
- we are reaching the finish line to G.W. E100

Pros of the tank:
+ monstrous damage
+ huge splash
+ presence of armor-piercing shells

Disadvantages of the tank:
- very long recharge
- very long mixing
- very small horizontal aiming angles
- poor mobility
- huge sizes
- flat trajectory of the projectile

Equipment:

There is nothing new on the modules in this art. The rammer and mixing are simply not discussed. Of all the rest, only a camouflage network can benefit us, and we’ll take it. So:
- Camouflage network
- Reinforced aiming drives
- Large caliber howitzer rammer

Crew Leveling:
There is a lot that is ambiguous here. For example, many people think that it is necessary to upgrade camouflage for art. For this art, as well as for the previous and next ones, camouflage is not a priority, because a huge barn cannot be hidden with camouflage. This is due to the fact that camouflage gives a bonus in the form of a coefficient from the initial value, and for us it is sadly small. Therefore, as the first cell, I offer the following set: The commander - a sixth sense, the gunner - a smooth rotation of the turret, the driver - a virtuoso, the radio operator - radio interception (although the benefit is very doubtful and you can use camouflage), both loaders - camouflage. The second perk is for the entire crew military brotherhood. Next, whoever did not receive a disguise gets one. The rest can take anything at all, since it is equally useless. The priority is still desperate.

Equipment:

Rem. a kit and a first aid kit are needed and this is not discussed. We are unlikely to burn, so we take gasoline (gold if possible) to add at least some dynamics to our barn. Alternatively, you can use chocolate instead of gasoline.

Tactics:
You should start by choosing a position. It should be occupied taking into account the trajectory of the projectile. You must immediately come to terms with the fact that throwing this is not for us. We charge for more than 40 seconds, so there will be plenty of time to take a position.
Next, about choosing a goal. There are only three priorities. The first is to inflict as many hit points as possible on your opponents, who will be difficult for your allies to kill. We are talking about such targets as Maus, E-100, top-end anti-tank missiles, as well as a number of heavily armored or especially dangerous targets. The second priority is to reduce the number of guns on the enemy team. It is worth picking up the enemy if delay will lead to significant damage from this target, and also if you see that there is no one else to reach the target. The third priority is goals for which it is guaranteed will be complete(or close to full) damage. Here we include WT auf E100, WT auf. Pz.4, as well as all targets that are facing us broadside, and what’s even better – stern.
Remember that the reload time is more than 40 seconds, which means you need to work on every shot. We periodically miss even with full aim, so we cannot afford to shoot without full aim either. Trying to catch a firefly in motion is a rather hopeless task with our characteristics; I do not recommend doing this (although sometimes this task needs to be done).
It takes us a very long time to get together, which means we can’t afford to re-get together often. In this case, you need to know the maps and likely places where the enemy will appear. It’s worth going to such places in advance. The advice is relevant for most self-propelled guns (for those without a rotating turret) - secure the chassis (X button by default), because going beyond the horizontal aiming angles is fraught with loss of aim, and if you are aiming at the target, you will miss the opportunity to shoot. This is especially true for GVT due to very small UGNs and long mixing times.
To complete the guide, I’m posting a video in which I receive the “Master” class badge for 5 shots on this machine:

Hello to all fans of playing artillery, this site is here! As you already understand, now we will talk about a separate class of equipment, namely the German Art-SPG of the eighth level, in front of you G.W. Tiger (P) guide.

Each art at its level has some special distinctive features and in this case we're talking about about the terrible terrifying unshakable power of weapons and enormous dimensions. Of course, now we will look in more detail G.W. Tiger (P) performance characteristics, but even at the first glance at this unit you can tell that they should be afraid of it, now you will find out why.

TTX G.W. Tiger (P)

To begin with, we have at our disposal art with the most large quantity HP is on par among representatives of this class, as well as poor basic visibility of 290 meters; as you understand, by the standards of all other equipment these figures are negligible.

If you look at G.W. Tiger (P) characteristics survivability, then this machine is very different from its peers. First of all, I would like to say that our size is simply monstrous, this is the largest and heaviest self-propelled gun at the level, so its stealth is poor.

In terms of booking Art-SAU G.W. Tiger (P) I’m also not cut out for it. We are all accustomed to the fact that when approaching artillery we can penetrate it anywhere, but in this case this is not entirely true. From the forehead, this device has an armor thickness of 100 millimeters, but here we are talking only about the frontal parts of the body, painted red and orange. When turning the body further, the adjustment can reach 200 millimeters, so there is even a chance to catch ricochets and non-penetrations. However, the cutting G.W. Tiger (P) World of Tanks cardboard, its thickness is only 30 millimeters, this part is vulnerable, as expected.

As for the side armor, in this projection our tank is much more vulnerable and again the declared 80 millimeters concerns only the hull. Again, with a lot of luck and the right turn, you can recapture something, but this is rare. The cabin is sau G.W. Tiger (P) WoT becomes even more cardboard, here a measly 18 millimeters await you. Such protection of our artillery means that we can hold off landmines, especially those that explode nearby, but otherwise we need to play extremely carefully.

Of course, with such a huge weight and overall bulk, one cannot count on good mobility. Although our maximum speed is tolerable, there is a catastrophic lack of horsepower per ton, so in general, artilleryG.W. Tiger (P) has very poor mobility, as well as maneuverability.

gun

Armament is the most important component of any artillery installation and in our case, there really is something to be proud of, because German art has, without exaggeration, the most big gun at the eighth level.

It is quite obvious that thanks to large caliber, G.W. Tiger (P) gun has the most powerful alphastrike among its classmates, but you have to pay for everything and this unit takes a very long time to recharge.

With the penetration parameters of our German, everything is quite standard in terms of artillery, however, it’s worth stopping here and saying a few words about the shells:
1. A regular land mine is a standard type of projectile; in our case, we will use these cartridges most of the time. In addition, they have a good radius of scattering fragments, as much as 6.44 meters.
2. Gold high explosive is a very important type of projectile, but expensive, and we pay for the increased dispersion of fragments (more than 9 meters), thanks to which sau G.W. Tiger (P) World of Tanks can hit several targets at once or smoke out an enemy hiding behind a stone. With the release of patch 0.9.18, the scattering radius of fragments has special meaning, because all the equipment that we hooked is stunned and its characteristics drop for a while.

Regarding accuracy, for greater alpha we will also have to pay for accuracy, since we now have the most oblique gun in our hands at the eighth level. G.W. Tiger (P) art got a really big spread and long mixing. In addition, this German has very limited angles of adjustment, only 5 degrees in each direction, this leaves a serious imprint on the comfort of the game.

Advantages and Disadvantages

By by and large, strong and weaknesses of this unit are understandable, but to make it easier for you to navigate, you should pay attention to this important nuance more attention, now we will break down the advantages and disadvantages Art-SAU G.W. Tiger (P) WoT point by point.
Pros:
Huge one-time damage;
Large radius of scattering of fragments;
Availability best armor among self-propelled guns-8;
Best stock strength among classmates.
Cons:
Weak armor in general;
Huge dimensions;
Poor mobility;
Long recharge;
Worst accuracy among self-propelled guns-8;
Uncomfortable horizontal aiming angles.

Equipment for G.W. Tiger (P)

No purchase additional modules It’s very difficult to play artillery, because there are parameters that desperately require at least a little adjustment. True, for artillery in this matter the equipment is almost always the same, and for G.W. Tiger (P) equipment we will put this:
1. is an extremely important module that will make our reload speed at least a little faster.
2. – we can’t do without them either, because the faster we converge, the more confidently we can realize damage.
3. – is taken to make our colossus more difficult to detect; after all, artillery poses the greatest danger until it is discovered.

Crew training

An equally important aspect of playing on each tank, because your success in battle will depend on how you choose your skills. In the case of artillery, it is very important to increase the comfort of dealing damage, but we must not forget survivability, a comprehensive boost of characteristics, so on sau G.W. Tiger (P) perks should be taught in the following order:
Commander (radio operator) – , , , .
Gunner – , , , .
Gunner – , , , .
Driver - , , , .

Equipment for G.W. Tiger (P)

It is worth following the standard scheme when choosing consumables. Here your reserves of game currency are taken as a basis; if there are few silver credits, buy , , . But the one who bets on the G.W. Tiger (P) equipment premium, where it is better to give preference.

Tactics for playing G.W. Tiger (P)

We have very large, slow-moving artillery with weak armor in our hands, and if we remember the fact that when playing self-propelled guns, positioning plays a very important role, in case G.W. Tiger (P) tactics combat, one might say, is based on this factor.

To be more useful during battle, you must make yourself so that it is more difficult to detect you and cause damage to you in case of exposure. Moreover, even after turning the body Art-SAU G.W. Tiger (P) WoT must be able to aim and fire without hindrance; it is unacceptable to constantly waste time moving when the projectile is loaded.

Regarding the moves themselves, of course, you should never stand in one place all the time. First, after every shot G.W. Tiger (P) art You must move away at least a little, otherwise they can find you using the tracer and kill you. Secondly, while the gun is reloading for a long time, this is an excellent moment to take a more advantageous position in at the moment battle.

Remember your huge one-time damage, german tank G.W. Tiger (P) World of Tanks It is capable of sending even many level 9 vehicles into the hangar with one shot, but to do this you must go all the way and successfully hit the enemy; after all, this unit cannot be called accurate.

Otherwise, everything is typical, watch the mini-map, try not to let the enemy get close to you under any circumstances and remember that sau G.W. Tiger (P) should focus your fire on the most dangerous or armored targets so that your team has a better chance of winning.
