Essay on the topic: Only in work is a man great. Start in science What is the greatness of a person in work

Not every person is given the opportunity to feel the joy of work. Some people were simply born contemplators, not doers, and work for them is a burden that takes away energy, time, and energy. Others are unlucky: the type of activity they have chosen does not correspond to their abilities, inclinations, character, and psychological data. For them, work is torment, slavery, hopeless captivity without prospects of liberation! Such people pull the strings, some obediently, some embitteredly, just for the sake of a piece of bread.

There are people who are not suited to systematic work. They are impetuous, work from inspiration, periods of uplift alternate with periods of apathy.

Will they all agree that the greatness of man lies in his work? Hardly. Even popular ideas about a happy life primarily presuppose idleness. Let's remember fairy tales - Russian, Ukrainian, German, French, Japanese. They often feature a self-assembled tablecloth or a boiling pot, milk rivers with jelly banks, a wonderful tree that bears fruit all year round - symbols of abundance without labor. Further, the Bible speaks of labor as God’s curse for the sins of Adam and Eve: “By the sweat of your brow you will earn your bread.” All legends mention the Golden Age, when people were carefree and happy, the earth gave ten harvests a year, the fish themselves swam in the net.

All this suggests that labor is not the initially desired lot for humanity that is not self-aware.

On the contrary, people have always sought the opportunity to benefit from the fruits of other people's labor. With the development of civilization and deepening specialization, the possibility of exchange appeared: I make dishes, and you make clothes. There is an opportunity to choose a profession, achieve mastery, and gain experience. In European countries, a master is a respected person; work is almost a religion.

Russia lingered shamefully for a long time at the prehistoric stage of development; only recently did it get rid of slave labor. Perhaps this is why the taste and love for work, what is called worker pride, enters our consciousness so hard. To trick, deceive, get more than you deserve - often these desires are much stronger than the desire to work honestly, having the opportunity to account for every penny, boldly saying: I owe everything that I have only to myself. Amazing Russian literature has long sounded the alarm: inability and unwillingness to work is ruining the country. Dostoevsky wrote in “The Teenager” that Russia has no practical people, Leskov, who knew the Russian people like no one else, noted with bitterness

loss of crafts.

And along with this, with what respect the masters wrote about working people; how they knew the true poetry of activity: “He endured restless work and a decisive effort of will; feeling that it was becoming easier and easier for him as the harsh ship broke into his body, and inability was replaced by habit... all the work was torture, requiring close attention, but no matter how hard he breathed, with difficulty straightening his back, the smile of contempt did not leave his face. He silently endured ridicule, mockery and inevitable abuse until he became “his own” in the new sphere...” ( A. Green, "Scarlet Sails").

Bless every work, good luck.

To the fisherman - so that there is a net with fish,

Plowman - so that his plow and nag

They got enough bread to last for years.

S. Yesenin

Writing in sweat, plowing in sweat,

We know a different kind of zeal:

A light fire dancing over the curls,

The breath is inspiration.

M. Tsvetaeva

And yet, is it possible to make work a measure of a person’s greatness? Humanity - for sure. We all stand on an endless staircase that goes back centuries, where each step is the fruit of the labor of a craftsman, a farmer, a scientist. It depends on our attitude towards work, on how our society treats the working man - it doesn’t matter whether he is a mason, a philosopher, a cook, a teacher - whether this ladder will continue into the future. It’s sad to think that so far we are only using what was invented and made by other people in other countries, where they have long learned the value of labor.

Our life is continuous work, because this is exactly what the legends say, which were created many years, no, even centuries ago. These legends speak of the wisdom of people who have always been hardworking. And it was this hard work that often saved their lives.

Hard work - there is probably almost no such concept left in our modern times. After all, now they work not just because they love this work, this process is a process of work, no matter what kind - physical or mental. Now most people work because it is necessary, and it will be very difficult to survive otherwise. But those who are poor also work, and there are no other opportunities, but those who have a chance to earn a lot of money in an easy way work hard, because such a work process brings extraordinary acceptance. Easy ways to make money - can this be called hard work - but now this is what they have come to call such an activity.

It is not without reason that they have said and continue to say that a man is great only in his work. Its essence is great, because it is then that it becomes fully visible, without any boasting in words. And only in reality can one understand how strong a person is in himself, both spiritually and physically. It is only in such cases, when it comes to work, that the character of a person who truly is is revealed.

The saying that insists that only through work can a person look majestic and proud is very right, because it speaks the truth. You should listen to the old legends, which always tell the truth. After all, only a good and persistent worker can be praised and seen that he is trying to feed himself, his family, in a word, achieve his goal. Such a person, hardworking in his sincerity and truth, is worthy of praise and praise, and besides, you will not soon meet such a person up close, perhaps.

It is not for nothing that earlier, and in principle even now, many works described the great feats of people who were always hardworking, and always knew how to work well and quickly, without forcing or humiliating other people. They were the standard, the symbol of labor, diligence, and therefore it is not without reason that many works of the great classics are dedicated to just such people, such a people.

It is in work, and only in work, that a man is great - essay

One of the meanings of human life is work. It’s not for nothing that they say, “You can’t even pull a fish out of the pond without effort.” Only in work does a person reveal himself in all his greatness and beauty. Labor is an irreplaceable indicator of human power. All this is confirmed by a huge number of ancient proverbs that show the eternal relationship between man and his activities. Often, we have to evaluate a person precisely by how he works and his attitude towards others. Without labor there could not be so many beautiful things on Earth. Absolutely all necessary things are created by man!

But not all people like to do business. Many people consider work as a kind of burden placed on their shoulders, which does not bring anything good and takes up precious time. Most often, such people have not chosen the right occupation for themselves. After all, an activity should not only be beneficial, but also be happiness for a person, otherwise it turns into a burden. After all, you may not have a favorite job, but you should always have a favorite activity. There is a type of people who, rushing for security and big money, do not do what they love. They can do their job conscientiously, many are grateful to them, but this type of people cannot fully realize their potential, because the work is not to their liking.

You can often see people painting in public gardens. It could be someone's portrait or a landscape, it doesn't matter at all. The point is that we are always amazed at how talented a person can be. And it is precisely such people who do what they love, making everyone around them admire their work. Such a creator is beautiful in his work, he makes it clear. And such “creators” can be not only artists, but also ordinary workers. When you see the face of a person who does his job zealously and with passion, it becomes immediately clear that he is doing what he loves.

Labor is the essence of a person. I wish there were more ordinary people who found their calling. After all, such people move the Earth forward, creating something new; it is they who leave a memory of themselves. If the majority of people work with fire in their souls, then our generation will leave a significant and positive mark on the earth.

In the modern world, work is one of the most important factors in life. Our life is continuous work, and we begin to work from childhood. a child takes his first steps - this is his work, schoolchildren receive an education - this is their work, boys and girls begin to work in their chosen specialty - this is also work; parents raise children, grandparents share their life experiences with young people - and this is all work too.
Labor activity has always been considered an honorable thing. It is no coincidence that peasants dressed for field work as if it were a holiday. And it’s not for nothing that many proverbs and sayings about work have come down to us from time immemorial. The man is beautiful and famous for his work. The meaning of life is in work. It has been and will be so at all times. Labor is unthinkable without man, and man is unthinkable without labor.
And why does a person work? Firstly, he provides himself and his family with a decent standard of living, and secondly, through work a person expresses himself. Artists and composers, when creating their works, work to convey to others their thoughts and feelings that cannot be expressed in words. What about builders, doctors, teachers? Their work is also work. In our world, all professions are important, from a cook to a carpenter, because they all bring benefits to people, which means they make a person necessary to society.
It is also no coincidence that in many works, starting with oral folk art, the life of hardworking people who know how to do their work with love is glorified. These people were the standard, so they always received rewards at the end of their difficult paths. They worked very hard, so they found their happiness.
Only in work can a person show his best qualities and express himself to others. Everything that is most useful and beautiful on the planet is made through labor. Significant discoveries by travelers, geographers and mariners are the result of hard work. It is known how writers and poets work on their works. How many times did they redo their works, bringing them to perfection, how many materials did they collect for their works?! And it’s not for nothing that they say that a person is great only in work. To confirm this statement, it is enough to look at the biographies of famous historical figures who achieved significant results through their work.
For example, Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy is known to us not only as the author of “War and Peace,” but also as a person who worked on himself throughout his life. He was not afraid of failures, he was not afraid of work. The writer could not even imagine his life without work. According to him, Idleness is one of two human vices, and activity is one of two virtues. L.N. Tolstoy treated work with respect and respect, he was always busy with something: he worked on his essays, analyzed all his actions, set himself a variety of tasks and completed them. And it would seem that in old age it is time to rest, but the writer did not intend to do this. He helped the peasants mow the grass with them, created schools and taught their children to read and write. L.N. Tolstoy is a great personality, and her work is great along with her.
Everyone who knows the history of our country is familiar with Emperor Peter I the Great. Why is he great? Because he loved work. The Emperor perfectly studied more than a dozen sciences, mastered shipbuilding, which did not exist as a science in Russia, and himself participated in the construction of ships. Peter I even traveled to Europe to not only teach his people, but also to learn to read and write himself. He slept four hours a day, his hands were calloused, he himself created the project for the new capital of Russia. The emperor forced everyone to work, and he himself set an example for his subjects. Peter I valued those people who worked hard and achieved the desired result, praised those who scolded him for mistakes (after all, it is precisely such people who know their business and treat it with love). And what did this activity of Our Sovereign lead to? Russia became one of the great powers, and other countries began to take it into account. Life improved in the state, its own fleet appeared, and trade began to develop. Peter I was called the Great for his great deeds, for his great work. And to this day he is an example for many people.
I would like to end my essay with the words of V.G. Belinsky: “Only work can make a person happy, bringing his soul into clarity, harmony and self-satisfaction.” Labor in our time is a great right and a great duty.

It is in work, and only in work, that man is great

Our life is continuous work; it is one of the main components of our existence. No wonder they say: “You can’t pull a fish out of a pond without difficulty.” Every person, starting from an early age, works:

Kids in kindergarten learn on their own, overcome small difficulties without their parents, try to learn to trust their teachers, begin to learn letters and their pronunciation;

Schoolchildren learn to focus their attention on the teacher, who, in turn, wants to give each student as much knowledge as possible, to convey to him at least a piece of his experience;

At the institute and other higher educational institutions, students, having already decided on the choice of their future profession, make a lot of effort in studying their future craft, because only the best will graduate with good grades and, more importantly, the desire to continue working in their specialty. “It’s not without reason that they say that the master’s work is afraid,” because if you don’t love the work you do, you will never achieve success and good results.

Adults go to work every day, but agree that if your work does not give you pleasure, then what is the point of such work? A person will constantly be depressed, therefore, labor productivity will be minimal, this can cause health problems. It’s a completely different matter when people are “burning” with their work, who have found their calling and were able to realize themselves. Work develops a person, allows you to learn new things, increase your level of development and skills. You can do completely different things, be it farming, handicrafts or construction, no matter what your profession, the main thing is to put your soul into it, find your favorite craft.

Now, unfortunately, many of us choose highly paid professions so that the family can have wealth, but not everyone can admit that they do not like this job. After all, it may well be that the welder Nikolai, in fact, always dreamed of being an artist and painting, and secretly from everyone he paints wonderful portraits and landscapes, but his talent is never recognized. Or bus driver Sergei dreams of being a great dancer, but is too shy to show others how fluidly he moves, and accountant Natalya Stepanovna, with her pedagogical education, has wanted to work as a primary school teacher all her life, to be a true friend to her students, a teacher, to support all of them endeavors and rejoice in success. Remember that you can change your life at any moment, the main thing is to listen to your heart!

There are many great writers and poets, artists and actors, talented dancers, outstanding athletes, excellent teachers and educators, qualified doctors in the world, but it is only through hard work that these wonderful people became successful. This means that a person is great in work, and only in work.

I believe that a hardworking person is a very happy person. After all, if your work brings you joy, you can move mountains, but this will require a lot of patience and determination, as the proverb says: “Every skill comes from hard work.” Any business requires skills and abilities that come with experience. You need to love and appreciate any business you start, otherwise it will never succeed.

Our profession will remain with us for the rest of our lives, so we need to choose our life’s work more carefully. I hope that in the future, I will be a very hardworking girl. In one interesting book, I read that work is unthinkable without man, and man is unthinkable without work, and I agree with this statement. I would also like to choose a specialty that I really like, so that I can confidently say: “Yes, I am a happy person, because I really love my job!!!”
