We wash the pumpkin well under cool running water, cut off the stem and, using a spoon, remove the seeds. Cut into cubes and peel off the skin. The thickness of each block is from 0.5 to 1 centimeter. Try to make all the pumpkin slices the same thickness so they cook evenly. You shouldn't cut it too thin, otherwise you'll end up with chips. Place the pieces on parchment paper as close to each other as possible so that the sugar does not spill onto the paper.

Sprinkle them with freshly squeezed lemon juice on top.

Next, sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and ground cinnamon. You can use brown sugar if you prefer. You can simplify your task and mix sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Place the baking sheet with the pumpkin in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and set the timer for 25 minutes. At high temperatures, the mixture of lemon juice and sugar will turn into caramel.

Baked sweet pumpkin can be served either cold or hot. On cold pieces, the caramel is hard and crispy, and on hot pieces it melts in your mouth. Children especially love oven-baked pumpkin. Even those who always refuse porridges and other dishes with the addition of this wonderful orange vegetable.

You can bake pumpkin in the microwave in the same way. Place the slices on a plate, pour over lemon juice, sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon, turn on the microwave at maximum power and wait five minutes. This will be enough to get a completely cooked pumpkin in caramel. You can bake apples in the same way.

Serve baked sweet pumpkin as a dessert. It goes well with cottage cheese. Place pieces of baked sweet vegetables on top of the curd mass - you get a healthy and tasty treat.

If half of the vegetable is not very large, then you can prepare this delicious dessert without cutting it into pieces. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon. If desired, fill the center with dried fruits - raisins, dried apricots, dates, prunes, and nuts. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes; if the top starts to burn, cover with foil.

Sweet pumpkin pieces, baked with honey (sugar)

Pumpkin baked with honey or sugar is one of the simplest and most popular vegetable desserts. During the cooking process, you can simply cut the vegetable into cubes, pour honey (sprinkle with sugar) and put it in the oven.

But the pieces will turn out much tastier if they are slightly acidified. For example, pour lemon or orange juice on top. It will add an unusual flavor note to the dessert, slightly refreshing it.

Ingredients:

  • Pumpkin - 400 g
  • Honey - 2 tbsp.
  • Vegetable oil- 1 tbsp.
  • Sesame seed - 2 tbsp.
  • Orange - 1 pc. zest (and juice optional)

Preparation:

To prepare the dessert you need to use nutmeg pumpkin varieties. They initially have an original taste and good aroma, which we will only enhance.

Peel the fruit and cut into thin slices. You can shape the pulp into pieces.

In a separate container, combine odorless vegetable oil and honey. Any will do except buckwheat. It initially has a characteristic taste that will overwhelm the pumpkin aroma.

The filling can be improved by adding orange zest (the orange part) and juice. The zest must first be grated on a fine grater. The unusual orange taste will really appeal to children who don’t particularly like pumpkin.

Place the pumpkin in the prepared dressing and mix gently until it covers the entire surface of the pulp.

Place them in a fireproof dish in one layer and place in the oven at +180 for 40 minutes.

Transfer the finished pumpkin to a plate. Pour the resulting juice over the top and sprinkle with lightly toasted sesame seeds.
