Ingredients:

  • Apples (medium) - 3 pcs.
  • Bread (large area) - 7 pieces
  • Quail eggs - 20 pcs. (2-3 chicken)
  • Dried cranberries (raisins) - 70 g
  • Sugar - 2-3 tbsp.
  • Semolina - 1 tbsp. l. with a slide
  • Cinnamon - 0.5 tsp.
  • Oil - optional
  • Cottage cheese, zest - optional


Preparation:
We prepare 7 large sandwiches. We will need 3 medium apples. Cut them in half and cut out any excess. I don't peel it.

We grate them on a coarse grater. When you have grated the first half of the first apple, add a heaping tablespoon of semolina to the bowl with the future apple mince. And we continue to grate the remaining apples, periodically stirring the contents of the bowl.

Add 2 tablespoons of sugar (if the apples are sour, you can add more).

Add half a teaspoon of cinnamon and a good handful of dried cranberries.

Add a whole package (20 pieces) of quail eggs. Mix everything well.

I usually replace 20 quail eggs with 2 chicken eggs, not 4.

The minced meat turns out to be quite liquid, but it will bake perfectly.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Line a baking sheet with non-stick parchment or a non-stick mat. Or you can grease the baking sheet with vegetable oil. Or you can grease one side of the bread with butter, put the filling on the other side, and place the buttered side on a baking sheet.

Spread the minced apples onto the bread in a fairly thick layer. Stir the minced meat all the time so that the juice does not accumulate in puddles, but is distributed in the grated apples.

The juices will run through the bread and drip from the bottom. There's nothing wrong with that - we just put the sandwiches on the baking sheet faster so as not to drip everything around. Drops that end up on a baking sheet not under the bread will burn and smell in the oven - don’t let this scare or confuse you, but just keep in mind that these are not sandwiches that are burning from below. Or you can wipe these drops off the baking sheet before baking.

Bake for 10-15 minutes.

The readiness of the sandwiches can be determined by the brownish crust on the top and bottom of the sandwiches.

Instead of dried cranberries, you can put raisins, dried and chopped cherries, cherries, dried apricots, prunes, and some candied fruits. Or you can not put them in at all. Instead of cinnamon - vanilla. You can add cottage cheese, zest, etc. to the minced meat.
