Make a head wreath from artificial flowers. Master class “Autumn wreath of artificial flowers” for a holiday in a group

This year, flower wreaths have become a real hit of the season! What was previously regarded as children's spring fun and as a symbolic ritual object has become a relevant attribute of weddings and friendly parties in nature. A wreath of flowers on your head will help create a romantic image, giving it lightness and brightness. There are many options for creating this accessory. The wreath is made from fresh and artificial flowers using various frames and wire.

Wreath on the head: secrets of creating it yourself

Any wreath on your head with your own hands is made taking into account the same rules:

  • Think over the composition of the accessory. Flowers of different sizes are best combined - large, medium and small. It is also worth including twigs of herbs and flexible green stems in the weaving.
  • Consider the style of the event. In accordance with it, you need to choose the type of flowers. For example, roses, peonies, garden buttercups, lilies, and gardenias are suitable for a wedding.
  • Do not try to make a head wreath from flowers that produce a lot of pollen or various oily substances. This way you risk ruining your outfit.
  • Consider the duration of wearing the wreath. To make the accessory last longer, you can make it the night before and then put it in the refrigerator. For a wedding, you should use special sprays sold in florist shops. They spray flowers. As a result, they do not fade for a long time.
  • Think over the design of the wreath. If you use a lot of colors, it will simply fall apart under its own weight. Therefore, it is recommended to first make a wire frame. A flexible thick wire will do. It can be bought at any craft store. Pay attention to the thickness - optimally 3 mm.
  • Use additional decor. The wire frame is decorated with floral ribbon. It makes it less noticeable. Many fashionistas decorate wreaths with satin ribbons and secure flowers with unusual bobby pins with beads and rhinestones.
  • If the celebration is to take place during the cold season, then you can buy fresh flowers in the store. Dr. An option is to make a wreath from artificial ones. These can be imitations made from polymer clay, fabric, or cold porcelain.
  • Use bobby pins for fastening, otherwise your wreath will periodically fall off your head. It is better to use invisible ones that are discreet or, if possible, to match the hair.

Wreath of fresh flowers: making

Creating such accessories requires a sense of style. This is due to the fact that wreaths made from several plants look best. They are intertwined with small flowers and green leaves. All this must be harmoniously selected in size and color.

You will need:

  • Medium thickness wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral ribbon
  • Satin ribbon
  • Flowers
  • Herbs

Manufacturing instructions:

  1. First, measure the volume of your head. To do this, apply a measuring tape to the back of your head. Directing it above the middle of the forehead. Using wire cutters, tear off a piece equal to the volume of the head plus 2 cm. Connect the wire into a ring. To do this, make hooks from the extra 2 cm - 1 cm on each side. Bend them or simply wrap the free ends around each other.
  2. Trim each plant. The length of the stems should be 5 cm. Take a floral or satin ribbon. Place each flower on the wire base. Place the stem horizontally along it and wrap it with ribbon. Do this step with each flower until almost the end of the wreath. Wrap the remaining area with tape.
  3. A head wreath made of fresh flowers can be slightly transformed. To do this, plants are grouped into small bouquets. Each is then attached to the wire in the manner described above. In order for the wreath to be lush, you need to make about 10-12 such bouquets.

How to weave a wreath of dandelions?

Dandelion wreaths are what symbolize spring. Bright inflorescences look very cheerful and cheerful. Learning how to weave such a wreath is not particularly difficult. It is worth choosing the right copies of colors and learning just 1 movement.

You will need:

  • Long stem dandelions
  • A piece of thread of medium thickness

Manufacturing instructions:

  1. It is better not to pick dandelions in advance. While you weave, some flowers will wither. It is worth plucking them directly during weaving. For a wreath you will need specimens with a long stem (about 15-20 cm) and large flowers.
  2. Weaving comes down to the fact that each subsequent stem wraps around the previous one. We begin to make a wreath by taking the 2 largest dandelions. Fold them so that the stem of the left one “lies” to the right side. We place the right dandelion vertically on top of it. Let's move on to making the loop. We pull the right stem under the left. Then we make a movement over it to form a loop. Pull it to the right side. Both dandelion stems lie together. We carefully hold them and move the inflorescence of the right dandelion to the left. They should be located next to each other. The loop looks tight.
  3. Let's take the next dandelion. Again we place it vertically on top of the now 2 stems. Then we drag it under them, forming a loop. The final movement is that the stem comes out from above and crosses itself. It is directed to the right and lies together with the 2 previous ones.
  4. We repeat this stage several times with other dandelions. We periodically try on the wreath on our heads. You should stop at the moment when the length of the strip of flowers is equal to the volume of the head.
  5. Then the wreath must be secured. To do this, take its end and beginning and connect it with a thread.
  6. The main thing to remember when creating a dandelion wreath is a strong weave. Flowers should fit tightly to each other. They can be strengthened with woven long grasses.

Unfortunately, dandelion wreaths also have their downsides. If you do not want to stain your hands and clothes with their milk, then it is better to refuse such an activity. In addition, this wreath is not suitable for allergy sufferers, since the flowers shed a lot of pollen.

Artificial flower wreath

You can make a wreath on your head not only from fresh flowers. Many designers advise using their imitation. The simplest option is artificial flowers. Now stores sell interior compositions that look like the real thing. It is better to choose high-quality options - they should not look too unnatural.

You will need:

  • Artificial flowers - 1-2 bouquets
  • Medium thickness wire
  • Floral ribbon
  • Silicone glue or glue gun
  • Scissors

Manufacturing instructions:

  1. Form a ring from the wire equal to the circumference of your head. Take bouquets of artificial flowers and trim the stems. The pieces should be no more than 5 cm. Divide each bouquet into several parts. The quantity depends on the initial splendor.
  2. Apply small bouquets to the wire so that the stems are located in one direction. Wrap each one with floral tape. For more volume, place flowers in different directions.
  3. Continue attaching the bouquets. If there are few flowers, then you don’t have to reach the end. Pay more attention to the front and sides. Wrap the remaining section of wire with tape. Carefully tuck the ends inside.

Variety of ideas

Whether you're getting ready for a wedding, hosting an outdoor party, or just celebrating the arrival of spring and summer, creating a floral wreath will help you create the appropriate holiday atmosphere. A flower wreath is a fairly simple and attractive way to decorate any event. To make your own unique wreath, purchase your favorite flowers and mount them on a wire base.

Steps

Making a wreath on a wire base

    Measure the circumference of your head and add 5 cm to the measurement. If you are going to wear a wreath over your hair (for example, a wedding), then first do your hair, and only then measure the circumference of your head along with your hair. Some types of hairstyles, such as regular and round French braids, can add extra volume to your head.

    Cut a piece of strong wire to the appropriate length. Try to use thicker floral wire, such as one with a paper wrap. Floral tape will stick better to this wire. Do not use regular scissors to cut wire, otherwise you will dull them. Take special metal cutters.

    Roll the wire into a ring, overlapping the ends by about 2.5 cm. The ring you make must be able to hold its shape. If it turns out to be too flimsy, then twist 2-3 wires together and re-make a ring out of them. This will make it more durable.

    To secure the ends of the wire, wrap them with floral tape. You can also additionally wrap the entire ring with tape. This will provide a better basis for further work on the wreath. Also, with this action you will give the base of the wreath a uniform color.

    Select flowers for the wreath and trim their stems to a length of 2.5-5 cm below the bud. Use scissors for trimming fresh or dried flowers, and wire cutters for cutting artificial flowers. Try to trim all flowers equally. This will make the wreath more uniform and neat.

    • Try to use small, medium and large sized flowers. This will make the wreath more varied.
  1. Arrange the flowers in the order you like. Don't rush to attach them to the base of the wreath just yet. The first thing you need to think about is the design. It will be easier to make changes to the design if the flowers remain freely lying on the table. Try playing with flowers of different shapes, sizes and colors. Below are a few additional design ideas.

    • Place the largest flowers at the front of the wreath. Take smaller and smaller flowers as you move towards the back of the wreath.
    • Try placing all the flowers in the same direction (toward or away from the middle of the front).
    • Flowers do not have to be located next to each other. You can place them as densely or sparsely as you like.
    • Instead of spreading the flowers around the entire perimeter of the wire base, they can be placed only at the front of the wreath.
  2. Attach the first flower to the wire base. Hold the flower so that its stem is parallel to the wire base. Take floral tape and attach the flower to the base. Start wrapping the flower with tape just below the bud and continue doing this about 1.5 cm after the end of its stem. Cut the tape and press the remaining tip of the tape to the base of the wreath.

    Place the second flower of the wreath directly behind the first and secure it with floral tape. Place the second flower so that its bud slightly overlaps the first. The closer the flowers are located, the more magnificent and heavy the wreath will be. The sparser the flowers are arranged, the less voluminous but more elegant the wreath will be.

    Continue placing flowers at the base of the wreath and securing them with tape. Work in a circle until you reach the flowers you started with for the wreath.

    Consider adding ribbon to your wreath. Fold several long pieces of tape in half and apply them to the place where the ends of the wire base are fastened together. Raise the folded area of the ribbons about an inch above the wire base to use it as a loop. Wrap the loose ends of the ribbons around the wire and thread them through the loop. Gently pull the bands to secure their position.

    Try on the wreath and make some adjustments if necessary. If you notice a lack of flowers in certain areas of the wreath that you would like to see more luxuriant, carefully spread the buds there with your hands, insert an additional flower and secure with tape.

    Place the new flower on the left stem.

    Move both left stems to the middle between the right and center stems. Keep these stems together and they will count as one.

    Add a flower to the right stem. The bud of the new flower should be located directly under the buds of already woven flowers.

    Move both right stems to the middle between the left and center stems. Don't let the right stems fall apart. Try to keep them together and consider them as one.

    Continue repeating the last steps until you reach the desired braiding length. As you add flowers to the wreath, the woven stems will become thicker and thicker.

    • Try using a variety of flowers for your wreath. This will give it more expressive color shades, texture and special beauty.
    • Don't be afraid to add leaves, herbs, and climbing plants to your wreath.
  3. Stop weaving when it is a few centimeters longer than the required length. The weave should be a little longer, since a slight overlap will be required to fasten its ends together. This way you can securely fasten the wreath.

    Secure the end of the braid with wire. Place the wire directly under the last buds of the braid. Wrap it around the stems several times, and then trim off the excess with metal cutters. This will fix the flowers and prevent the wreath from unraveling.

    Align the ends of the braid. Align the ends of the weaving so that the wreath fits comfortably on your head. Hold the ends in position as you remove the wreath from your head.

    Secure the ends of the wreath with wire. When attaching the ends of the wreath, run the wire under the flower buds. You only need to fasten the flower stems together. When done, trim off the excess wire. Carefully tuck both ends of this wire deep into the woven stems.

Making a wreath from artificial flowers

    Find a plastic or metal headband that is the right size for you. You will glue your flowers to it.

    Consider creating a ribbon wrap around the rim. This will hide the original color of the rim and ensure better glue adhesion. You can take any color of ribbon, but green goes better with flowers. If you don't have green ribbon, try using ribbon that matches your flowers instead. The tape can be secured to the headband using two different methods, which are listed below.

    Select artificial flowers for the wreath and pull the buds from the stems. If the buds do not come off, take metal cutters and cut off the buds. Try to cut flowers as close to the bud as possible.

    If necessary, also cut off the bottom of the bud. Sometimes, when pulling buds from the stem, a small tail remains at the bottom of the bud, which can interfere with the normal attachment of the flower to the rim. If you want the flower to be attached to the rim evenly, then cut off this tail.

***
People say: “The red summer has come.” Red means beautiful. And indeed, there is so much beauty in nature in summer. Each lawn shimmers with all shades of green lace of leaves and blades of grass. And scattered throughout this greenery are flowers of various shapes and colors. Even in ancient times, people learned to weave this beauty into wreaths and decorate their heads with them.

For this we need materials and tools: multi-colored paper strips 3cm wide and thin white and green strips 5mm wide; stencil ruler with circles; scissors, paper rolling tool; PVA glue.

First, cut wide multi-colored strips into fringes.

To each wide strip we will glue a thin strip of the color that you choose for the middle of the flower. Starting from the tip of a thin strip, twist the entire strip tightly using a tool or a toothpick. Carefully remove it from the tool and secure the tip of the strip with glue.

You need to make a lot of such multi-colored parts, the number will depend on the size of the head, Agatha got 16 pieces.

Let's open the flowers by bending the fringe from the middle to the edges.

Glue a hoop from thick green paper or cardboard to the size of the head, 2.5 cm wide.

Cut out leaves from green paper rectangles measuring 3x5cm. It is not necessary to maintain exact dimensions; it is even better if the leaves are slightly different from each other.

The wreath will look more delicate if it contains not only large, but also small flowers and leaves. For small flowers, twist thin white stripes on the tool, remove them from the tool and, without unraveling, secure the tip of the strip with glue. Between the double flowers on the wreath there will be one branch with three white circles, so the number of white details will depend on the number of large flowers on the hoop.

Now we will make small leaves from thin green stripes, 5mm wide. To do this, twist them on a tool or toothpick and loosen them on a ruler to a size of 14-15mm, then secure the tip of the strip with glue and give it the shape of a leaf by pressing the circle with your fingers on both sides.
We will glue three of these leaves onto a thin green strip; they will also be located on the hoop between the flowers.

Now all the parts for the wreath are ready, you can start assembling.

We will paste our flowers onto the paper hoop in the order anyone wants, the main thing is that they are distributed evenly across the hoop.

Glue the leaves onto the hoop between the flowers.

Now between the flowers we will beautifully glue branches with white circles. You can end here, but you can get creative and add something of your own or even change something, using Agatha’s work as a basis.
You might want to add red berries or thin blades of grass to your wreath.

Finally, you can try our jewelry on your head and even go out for a walk in it. And everyone around will admire and wonder where you found such beauty for your wreath? It looks almost like the real thing, only a little fairy-tale-like, and you will also look like a fairy-tale beauty in it. How to make a wreath on your head
Nothing decorates a girl more than the natural freshness and unique colors of fresh flowers. Since ancient times, beautiful girls used wreaths woven from flowers as an addition to their costume. In the old days, brides walked down the aisle adorned with this particularly touching and symbolic accessory. And these days, flower wreaths are quite popular, especially in wedding fashion. Let's make a wreath with our own hands!

. So, first decide what natural material you will weave a wreath from. Then collect everything you need. Pick some flowers or leaves for decoration. If you like berries, then you need to pick them straight from the stem - it will be easier to weave them into a wreath.

If you want a wreath of only one flower, it would be better to choose two or three types. This will make your creation look even more beautiful. Choose flowers with long and flexible stems. This is necessary so that the flowers are tightly woven and do not fall out of the wreath. Chamomiles, cornflowers, and dandelions are perfect for weaving.

Choose a few of the largest flowers. Carefully fold them into a bun. It will serve as the basis for your future wreath. The stems of each new wreath element will then wrap around this base.

Weave each flower as close and tightly together as possible. Don't be afraid if there are too many flowers. After making, your headdress will dry out a little and decrease in size. And with loose weaving it will simply fall apart.

Don't forget to try on your product as you make it. If you ignore this rule, the wreath may turn out to be large, and then it will be too big for you. Or, on the contrary, it will turn out to be small. In this case, you will have to unravel it and add plants. Any intervention in already finished cleaning is not advisable, because... crushes the flowers once again.

Finish weaving only after you are sure that the wreath is the right size for you. To finish the job, fold the ends of the wreath together. Hide all the tips and emerging blades of grass in the large flowers of the base. Tie the ends of the wreath with grass or soft tree bark.

Your wreath is ready. It will be a worthy decoration and will highlight your natural beauty. Wear it outdoors, enjoying its aroma and uniqueness.

Making a classic wreath

You will need:
- wire (1.0-1.2 mm);
- white tape;
- two types of flowers (small rose buds, dendrobium orchids);
- small greens asparagus, boxwood, ruscus;
- white satin ribbon.

1. Measure the circumference of the head of the person for whom the wreath is being made. If this is not possible, then make a wreath in the shape of an open ring with ribbon ties. Such an addition will not only not spoil it, but, on the contrary, will give the wreath even more charm.

2. Measure a piece of wire equal to the circumference of the head plus 4-6 cm to connect the ends and obtain a closed ring. Cut one or two more of these lengths to make a ring from two or three wires folded together. The more massive the flowers and additional elements of the wreath, the stronger the wreath design should be.

3. Wrap the wire tightly (while it is not yet bent) with white tape. This slightly sticky tape, used by florists when making various flower accessories, is sold in any florist shop. Bring the ends of the wire together and secure them by wrapping one end around the other several times. The circumference of the wreath should be equal to the circumference of the head.

4. In the case of making an open wreath, measure the wire with a length equal to double or triple the circumference of the head - depending on the expected weight of the accessory. Wrap the wire with tape and fold it so that you get a segment equal to the standard head circumference (for size M - 57-58 cm, for size S - 55-56 cm).

5. At the ends of the open wreath, slightly bend the bends of the wire to form loops for attaching ribbons. Thread 1cm wide white satin ribbons through these loops and tie them to the wreath frame.

6. Attach a small bunch of decorative greenery to the ends of the wreath (or its back). Carefully wrap the stems of the bunches with tape and secure with thin decorative wire for strength.

7. Place white roses cut close to the head to the wreath, distributing them evenly around the entire circumference. For the front of the wreath, choose flowers with more open petals, and use buds towards the back. Place 5-6 orchid flowers between the roses.

8. Carefully remove the wire frame from under the flowers so that the sequence of flowers you have built is preserved. Start attaching the wreath elements to the frame with tape and wire, alternating two types of flowers and bunches of greenery. Place only sprigs of greenery on the inside of the wreath. Place the roses not in one plane, but turn them slightly at different angles to the wire frame so that they look natural and the wreath is more voluminous.

How to make a Ukrainian wreath?

In ancient times, a wreath of flowers was an indispensable addition to the elegant costume of Ukrainian girls. Today, a bright wreath is a decoration for the bride and her friends at a folk style wedding, as well as when its owner performs at a matinee or concert. You can make a Ukrainian wreath with your own hands, and in various ways.

DIY Ukrainian wreath: method 1

You will need:
- several branches of artificial flowers;
- several tapes;
- wire;
- thin tape of transparent or flesh color;
- scissors.

Using scissors, cut a piece of wire equal to the circumference of your head, adding 4 centimeters to this length for an allowance. Take 3 pieces of wire, place them together and use thin tape to secure them. Make a ring of wire, the circumference of which is equal to the circumference of your head, and secure the ends with tape.

Cut an artificial flower with a longer stem from a branch. Then attach it to the wire with tape, stepping back 5 centimeters from the end of the last one. Weave flowers one by one, alternating their colors. The last of them needs to be woven at a distance of 5 centimeters from the second end of the wire.

Take the ribbons and tie them, alternating colors, to the area where you did not weave flowers.

DIY Ukrainian wreath: method 2

You will need:
- wide elastic band;
- plastic bottle;
- green satin or silk fabric;
- sewing accessories;
- glue gun;
- artificial flowers;
- scissors.

Cut a rectangular base from a plastic bottle and slightly round its upper corners. From the green fabric folded in half, you need to cut the same shape, adding from 0.8 to 1 centimeter for the allowance. Sew the folded fabric right sides together, leaving a small area unsewn. Turn the workpiece inside out, then carefully, trying not to tear the fabric, insert the plastic base into it.

Carefully blindstitch the remaining portion. Take a wide elastic band and cut a part from it, correlating the size of this elastic band with the length of your head circumference. Coat the edges with glue. Glue the two ends of the elastic on the front side. Using a glue gun, glue the flowers onto the front side.

If you are proficient in the Japanese art of kanzashi, you can decorate the wreath with your own handmade flowers. The reverse side of the product must also be carefully processed.

According to a long-standing tradition, the Ukrainian wreath must be worn with ribbons, the length of which should be equal to the length of the hair. The back of the product can be decorated with silk multi-colored ribbons. Sew them on, folding them around the elastic. The resulting wreath is very comfortable, since it does not put pressure on the head and stays firmly on it even while dancing.
